Delano Las Vegas
- What's Included
Arrived at 01.00 in the night and looked forward to my stay at Delano. What I met was the worst kind of customer experience! The line was not too long, but the processing time was extremely slow. Delano reps spent up to 10-15 mins talking to customers while looking directly at the growing que. When you start your stay with this experience it's almost impossible to make it up. Advice would be to put more reps to work! What a horror show in terms of customer centricity and service. The first impression is below what I could ever imagine. When I'm finished with this que I sure hope the stay will improve. I will make sure to spend my dollars at competing venues this week.
When attending an annual conference in Vegas, I always choose to stay at Delano Las Vegas - it's my favorite of all hotels on the strip. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and always neat and clean. The vibe in the hotel is hip and cool and makes me enjoy being there.
This sister property to Mandalay Bay, shines brighter than the M – life Luxor spotlight thingy at the apex. For what you experience here the under $200 a night cost over a weekend at the high point of summer vacations, is worth every penny.Obviously there are dozens and dozens and dozens of hotels in Las Vegas and yet the Delano still seems to set itself apart, with a subtle pastiche of hotel guests from all over the world. Every color of the rainbow is represented here many with well behaved children and without sounding old fashioned and hip in the same sentence, well-dressed and respectful of the vibe.So the next time you are in Sun City, I suggest you check out the Delano.
We just left the Delano hotel today. Hotel itself was wonderful. Clean, nice size, comfortable. The only downside was the location. It's at the south end of the strip and you have to pay to park your car. We're used to staying at the Palazzo where parking is free, so this was a bit disappointing. Also, we like walking around on the strip, but we were way too far, so we had to drive everywhere. With traffic, it was a nightmare. We decided on the Mandalay Bay/Delano hotel because of our kids. We thought they would have more fun on the beach, but that wasn't the case. The pool was super crowded with no shade. They only swam for about about an hour each day because of the crowds. Overall, the hotel was great but we needed it to be a bit closer to the action on the strip.
This is what I replied when emailed by the Delano about my stay: I have stayed at this property many times and don't know if I'll return. It is very nice, but after staying at the Delano a few times, I prefer the dark rooms when it was theHotel. The rooms are too light and bright for my liking, especially when I want to escape the casino. On this recent visit I booked a scenic suite. I was sent to a room on the 3rd floor. The view met very few criterion of scenic and was unacceptable. On previous visits I have had better views from standard suites, without paying the upcharge. The situation was handled and we ended up on the 24th floor. The inconvenience and the fact that I was initially assigned a "scenic suite" on the 3rd floor was a real turn off and will lead me to consider other properties when I next visit Las Vegas
