Delano Las Vegas
- What's Included
As a first time visitor to the Delano I was looking forward to a new experience. The one bedroom King suite.. The Delano is an all suite hotel.. Is spacious and very comfortable. Excellent check in and check out experiences! The housekeeping staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurants at Delano and Mandalay Bay do not disappoint!!! Excellent variety and every meal was enjoyable. We are planning a return trip to our new favorite Las Vegas resort the Delano!!
We stayed in January! It was very nice and clean! We were on the back side but still had a great view of the mountains and lights at night! It is on the end of the strip so be prepared to Uber, taxi, or walk!
This past weekend we brought my 10 year old daughter to Vegas for the first time and stayed in a two-bedroom suite at Delano. The beds were comfortable, the adjoining living room is super convenient and each bedroom had plenty of privacy. The lobby is laid-out well with a lovely coffee shop and an easy walkway into the Mandalay Bay casino and restaurants. Only very minor criticism: be aware that the "two bedroom suite" is really just two normal sized rooms with the locking privacy doors between. It worked perfectly for us, but it doesn't flow like a typical two bedroom suite. For the kids: Mandalay has a pool area open year round. NOT the full beach experience, just a small area, but it does the trick. Hilariously, this area during the summer months is their top-optional adults only club.Vegas note: ask around for where Uber can be picked up at your location. The cost runs a third to a quarter of the cost for a cab.
We stayed at this hotel for a birthday weekend for my husband. We chose this hotel because Mandalay Bay was fully booked for the first weekend of January but it wasn't a big deal for us since Delano is next to Mandalay Bay. Delano, I believe is more spacious than some of the rooms in Mandalay Bay. Even though I have not stayed at Mandalay Bay, but reading and comparing their features on their website, it just looks like Delano had more room. If I'm not mistaken, our room was about 765 sq ft. That's pretty spacious comparing to the 300-400 sq ft. rooms a lot of the hotels were offering for almost the same amount of price, if not more. We ended up getting the 2 queen size bedrooms because we had another couple stay with us for the weekend and like I said, it was spacious. It had a separate living room and another bathroom. The master bathroom was large, with a hot tub, a built in tv and a see-through shower. It had a his and her sink and a separate room for another bathroom. The bedding was comfortable and the closets were spacious as well. Overall, we had a good stay at Delano. The staff was very nice and answered any questions we had. Their decor was modern and lovely. We didn't get the chance to order any room service or eat in any of their restaurants, but the ambiance was really nice. They had live musicians play in the main lobby and I liked how convenient it was to just go down the hall, up the escalators to a mini mall that connected to the Luxor hotel. Overall, I'd stay here at this hotel again and if we do, we'll use more of their amenities next time like the gym and the pool.
Hotel rooms are good, bed comfortable. minimal decorations and storage, but the suite is big, so you will not have an issue. Towels are worn. No robe in the room, but we asked for them and they were delivered. Robs also very worn. We stayed 4 nights and they never replaced the soap/shampoo. I do not consider this a high end property. Drink glasses brought up from casino sat out in the hall by our door all 4 nights. Just slightly better than Mandalay. My big complaint, the resort fee. I have a problem this this fee in the first place. I know this is for the use of the pool, gym and internet. Well in January you are not using the pool, so the best you get is the gym. While I know many don't go to Vegas to use the gym, I do. So this was a total disappointment. Minimal and what machines they do have are broken. If you are going to charge $38 fee, for goodness sake, fix the gym. Will not return
