Elara Hilton Grand Vacations Hotel Center Strip
- What's Included
Location: Located on the Strip, adjacent to Planet Hollywood.
As frequent Vegas travelers, we didn't think we would like being in a non-casino hotel. However, it is connected to Planet Hollywood and the mall and has a great pool with reasonably priced cabanas.**The rooms are awesome- can't beat it.**I took stars off because of the way a Bachelorette Party was handled at the pool:This time we were with our daughter(12). I get it- its Vegas but it is also a Hilton, not like the Cosmopolitan or a clothing optional adult pool offered elsewhere. (No one was naked, but then again, that would have been easier to explain then what is described below.)I had to ask twice for the "ladies" (I use that term loosely) to put away adult novelties as I am sure they could have performed their simulations somewhere else. The staff noticed and did not stop it. Not until I spoke to a supervising lifeguard did it stop. The hotel did not offer an apology- aside from said life guard. Kinda classless. Not going with family this time around, but we will go elsewhere. Too bad.
My aunt, mom and I stayed in a 3 bedroom suite with an incredible view of the strip and mountains! Very secure location and in close proximity to gambling shopping and more. Plenty of space for all of us and the staff was very friendly
Just spent 6 days at the Elara and was really happy with the experience. The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of the action, behind Planet Hollywood with access through the Miracle Mile shopping centre. It's just a short stroll to all the action on the strip. and the RTC bus stops right outside PH if you want to take a trip down to old Vegas. We had a two room king suite that was great. Plenty of room and it came with a kitchenette that included a small fridge, a dishwasher, coffee machine, and a small convection oven/microwave.The pool area is large enough to cater for the crowds, though in summer I'd suggest getting there early to make sure you can get a seat. There is a guest laundry which includes four washing machines and three dryers, all of which were free to use. You can buy detergent from a vending machine. The fitness centre is a reasonable size, though was a bit busy around 8:30am. It died off a bit after 10am and had plenty of machines available to use.All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful.
The suite was great! It is spacious with complete kitchen, living room, and bedroom accessories. TV's is all over the suite. My wife comment though is a "masculine suite". We do like the non-smoking room and could not smell any trace of smoke anywhere in the hotel. The thing that we didn't like is a restaurant. The hotel only have one and closes at 8pm. They do have in-room dining but charges you big time.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Elara Hotel. We had a junior suite and were blown away by the size of the room! We walked into the full sized kitchen with table counter height seating for four people with TV. It had a full sized fridge with water and ice in the door. Nice! There was also a stovetop (no oven), microwave, sink, dishwasher, coffee maker, blender(!) and toaster. Also, cups, plates, forks, etc. Then there was a large L shaped bright red queen sized sofa bed with cabinets. The sofa could probably seat around 8 people! There was a TV and even a projection screen that could come down in front of the windows. The windows were huge like from floor to ceiling. In the bedroom was a king sized bed, chaise lounge, dresser/desk, TV, jetted tub and mirrored closet with a wall safe. The bathroom has a sink with large countertop (great for three girls!), makeup mirror, TV, glass enclosed shower and glass enclosed toilet room. Unfortunately the frosted doors to the toilet room were only partial. It would have been great if it was truly a separate toilet room for more privacy. If you were counting, that is FOUR TV's in the junior suite (plus projector)!!! Whoa. The only downside to the hotel is the size of the pool. There is only one pool and it's a good size, however doesn't seem to be big enough for all of the hotel guests. Chairs filled up quickly which was frustrating. I did enjoy the lounge chairs in the pool too! Also, the food at the pool was very good! We were all blown away by the quality of the food at the pool. We all also enjoyed that there was no casino at the hotel. This eliminated the long walk to the pool and back to the room- definitely appreciated. We found the location of the hotel to be excellent. We were in easy walking distance to the Planet Hollywood Hotel and the strip! And conveniently right off of the mall. Go to the ABC store! It's like CVS but also sells souvenirs (and alcohol)! You have to walk through the mall to get anywhere but that was so much better than walking outside in the hot sun. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
