Elara Hilton Grand Vacations Hotel Center Strip
- What's Included
Location: Located on the Strip, adjacent to Planet Hollywood.
I have stayed at many hotels at all levels (including in Las Vegas)l over my long life. Quite simply the junior suite we stayed in here was the nicest room in which I have ever stayed. It was not the largest, just the most luxurious and the most comfortale.
OMG!!! This place is AMAZING! From the staff, to the cleanliness, to the amenities, and the WONDERFUL room. This place is extraordinary. We stated in a studio condo w/ wonderful decor, shutters, comfy bed, and more than enough space w/ a GREAT view. The gym was excellent w/ weights, and plenty of machines. You must try the quesadillas; They were great w/ seasoned tender chicken. It didn’t have a restaurant, just the room service food that we ordered from the bar area. I wish I could name all the great staff, we encountered, but they were ALL great. Attached to the mall, so u could eat, shop, gamble and never actually go outside.
The one bedroom suite was very nice and spacious with the bedroom separate from the kitchen and living area. The kitchen had everything you would need to prepare a meal except for food items. We enjoyed watching TV on the huge projecton screen. The staff was great and so was housekeeping with keeping the suite clean and well stocked daily. I did not like after checking in being directed to a desk where we were supposed to be picking up coupons for restaurants and shows which was really the desk where they try to have you sign up for a timeshare presentation. So we were sitting in the lobby tired and hungry after a long flight with all of our luggage and having to listen to a sales pitch before we could even make it to our room. It's not like they would have missed any other opportunity since every time you come and go someone is in the lobby asking to speak with you about the same thing. Someone even called our suite asking if everything was OK with the room like that was their main reason for calling then proceeded to ask yet again about attending a presentation for the timeshare. It was nice to walk right out of the hotel lobby into the Miracle Mile Mall where you have all the food and shopping you could want as well as access to Planet Hollywood's casino. Location on the strip was nice with a short walk through the mall and out to the strip you didn't have to go through the casino unless you wanted. I would definitely stay at the Elara again.
I stayed at the Elara as part of a promotional deal, but on my next visit it will be the first place I check. I was fortunate enough to have a one-bedroom suite with jacuzzi tub, kitchen, and modern decor with projection tv. I read where someone complained that the Elara is not directly on the strip or requires a five-minute walk to the strip. Considering that I walked through the Magnificent Mile Mall, which connects the the property to the Planet Hollywood Casino or strip I did not think about it not being on the strip. Good restaurants in the mall and casino, mall and discount shopping nearby, plus everything you need to complete your Las Vegas stay is near this property.
Because if you're a Westgate owner, they will treat you like a second class citizen. I was put in a dusty room with dirty walls, outdated appliances, and faucet knobs that were so rusty that they were cracked and falling apart. The excuse I was given was that I was put in a room that wasn't renovated, and that only Hilton owners get the best rooms. There are too many nice, new hotels on the strip, find one that doesn't have rusty appliances.
