Encore Las Vegas
- What's Included
The Encore Las Vegas is the second phase to the very popular Wynn Las Vegas. The rooms here are very modern and clean and the beds are comfortable. The hotel itself is also very modern and chic. If you are going to hang out poolside, try to get their early as spots fill up fast. XS nightclub located in the hotel is one of Vegas' current hot spots, a great party! The Encore and Wynn are both equally a good and recommended Las Vegas resorts. Being an upscale resort of course makes it a bit more pricey, but if you want luxury this hotel should definitely be on your list.
This was our second stay here at Encore. We really like the panoramic view king suites. It's not massive, but has a separate living area from the bedroom and nice size marble bathroom with separate soaking tub and shower. I also love their bath products. I'm fairly sure it's Molton Brown... Smells like Coco Sandlewood fragrance that I buy from them. The pool is nice with poolside service. Checking was easy. We were only here one night as we were driving to Zion the next day. You also get discounts for shows if you book through the hotel.
We were upgraded to a panoramic suite (61st floor) when we arrived. Such a good start! Amazing view other sister Hotel, the Wynn itself. The rooms are very cozy, tastefully decorated. The bathrooms have 2 sinks (Woohoo!)Be aware that there is no fridge available for you to stuck up your champagne. The fridge is uniquely for their sensored mini bar and any item misplaced for other 30 seconds will be charged.. Ice bucket please! (or fridge to be hired at reception)The hotel is of course immaculate. The breakfast buffet was included in our package (thanks Expedia). A life saver! The breakfast finishes at 11 am but they do not ask guests to leave when they switch from breakfast to lunch, so you can actually enjoy lunch as well/instead of breakfast. The hotel is at the end of the 'good' part of the strip. It could be a tiny bit more central (the only critism I could think of)...The casino is quieter, in general, than more central or cheaper casinos like Caesars; MGM;...In terms of deco, the Wynn and Encore casinos look the same.Get a red card at the beginning of your stay if you gamble in both hotels (points earned while gambling; converted to gift)There are a 4 nightclubs in both resorts. They are quite expensive (like everywhere in Vegas); about $80 per couple.Enjoy!!
... since I'm just going to be echoing everyone else. The rooms here are incredible, and the service matches. I got a very good deal online where the ubiquitous Vegas resort fee was optional and they weren't at all funny about it when I checked in, my room also included breakfast so not only was it luxury, it was a bargain! The rooms facing the strip can have noise from the nightclub so if this bothers you then get a room on the other side. You'll have a rather ugly view of a construction site, a parking lot and Circus Circus but it's still pretty impressive. I love the fact that everything is centrally controlled via a touch screen next to your bed - from the room temperature to the window drapes! The hotel is at the far end of the strip so if being right in the middle of it is for you then you're probably better off elsewhere. That said, you can get a Lyft for under $10 to Monte Carlo or just slightly over $10 to downtown (Fremont Street) - and it's nice to feel slightly "out of the way"!
I forgot my wallet at home however I had a picture of my drivers license and passport on my phone. The check in / registration desk would not accept this. They then told me to call whoever I booked through to add my wife who did have her ID on her. It was unclear why the registration desk simply couldnt add her. They were being quite difficult about it. They did however ask me if I had other documentation on me such as a Costco card. I showed them 3 credit cards that I had in my briefcase, however they did not accept them. They said they would accept a costcol card though, which I did not have. I ended up calling American Express Travel which is whom I booked through. American Express contacted Encore to add my wife to my reservation as the registration desk had suggested. American Express had informed that Encore wholesale reservations refused to add my wife to the reservation and said that no changes can be made, even though this is exactly what we were instructed to do by the registratyion desk. They also refused to cancel my booking and issue a refund in order to let me book solely under my wifes name. It seemed like there was no way out. I finally once again explained my situation to one of the managers whom took it up the ladder and finally, they got an approval to add my wife to the reservation. Why didnt they just do this in the first place? Why did I have to waste 2 hourso f my time going back and forth between Encore and AMEX to get this simple issue resolved. Nonetheless it was a headache and a displeasure. On Sunday, one of the Encore pools were close for a private even, and the one that was open was over packed and there was nowehre to lay down. The pool staff refused to give up a bed for free and demanded $100 gfor each bed that was left. These were the more comfortable beds. I was paying an average of $650/night and couldnt even comfortably use a pool. Other than these 2 poor experiences, the rest was good.
This hotel is still a favourite on The Strip. The staff are friendly, helpful and nothing is too much.We had a King Panoramic suite on the 36th floor just out of view of the strip. This was fine as we overlooked the mountains. The minibar is well stocked, and the room has plenty of snacks available. The bars in the hotel have amazing cocktail menus. The pool area isn't huge but we didn't have any problems getting sun loungers. The pool is heated and waitress service is provided around the pool. Getting around the strip is easy as the hotel has a taxi rank which always has taxis waiting.
