Our Opinion
The Flamingo has a wonderful, tropical pool area and a large lively casino. The entertainment is first-rate as there are many wonderful shows and stand-up acts. The rooms are clean and well kept. The hotel is a little older but the rooms have been renovated and it's in a great central location. Very well priced. Recommended for its location and good value.

Overview
Flamingo, the famous name that kick started Las Vegas. Though 'Bugsy' Siegel's original hotel is now long gone, the Flamingo Las Vegas is still very much alive and kicking. An abundant variety of shows, action packed casino, and the lush tropical pool area makes the Flamingo a great destination.

Location: Center strip, across from Caesar's Palace and the Bellagio.

Slow security and unreasonable resort fees

1.) I witnessed a bad slip and fall as a result of a drink spill that wasn’t addressed near the entrance. An older woman slipped on the marble floor and may have a concussion. Security was so slow to respond and not terribly helpful. She laid there 15 min before EMT arrived. 2.) Mandatory resort fee of $34/night even if you don’t use pool, fitness center, or their internet. We were literally there only to sleep and catch a flight. 3.) New Go rooms look like they were designed for ladies of the night and IMO look seedy. Go to the Linq’s new contemporary rooms which look a lot classier.

Great Place to stay on Las Vegas strip!

If you are looking for a reasonable place to stay while you are in Vegas...this is it. We stayed at The Flamingo because it was in the center of the strip right across from Ceasar's Palace where we caught Celine Dion show. Also Donny & Marie show is great and right in the Flamingo. Rooms were very clean, linens changed daily, and very friendly staff. There is a food court right outside Flamingo entrance. Good variety of slits too. Really enjoyed our stay!!

Good location!

Upon arrival after a long day of travelling the HUGE queue at check in made me want to cry however we spotted the express check in machines! It took 3 attempts but we figured it out. The queue had doubled by the time we had done this but there was 1 poor man on the reception desk so it was still quicker. We then asked for directions to our room and off we went with our cases through the casino and a haze of cigar smoke so thick my eyes watered. Eventually we made it to our room down a long long corridor. The room was incredibly dusty, one of the photos had something all over it (vomit? milk? hard to tell) the bathroom had hair on the floor and the toilet was stained badly. It was very dated. However the beds were sooooo comfy. The housekeeping team were efficient at making the beds and replenishing towels but the dust remained for the duration. The flamingos and outdoor habitat area were nice, it's smelt horrific however. We ate at the buffet for brunch there was a great selection but again it isn't very clean.Over the 4 days we spent here we spoke with 5 or 6 members of staff all were pleasant enough but didn't want to speak to us. We have never gambled before so thought we would give it ago but didn't have a clue so gave up on that one.Overall the location is great but the hotel is dated and not very clean. I wouldn't stay again as looking online prices are similar for hotels with much better standards.

They charge you extra Resort Fee and Room charge

When I checked out i was told there was a resort fee which i was not aware 34.01 of wasn't included in the price I paid, and on top of that a room charge 7.36. because I used the room! Yeah that's why i booked my room i think is with the intention of sleeping on it, why would I pay for a room and not use it??? Is that even legal???The pool were closed, so why am i paying resort fee again??? Will definitely stay away from there next time I go

Right at the LVRNR Marathon Finish Line!

Just finished running the strip at night for the 6th time...we always stay at the Flamingo. It is right at the finish line exit making for an easy walk (or waddle so be it lol) after running 13.1 miles to your room. We always get the GO Room - Spa Tower...convenient to the parkade if you have a vehicle rental. Great view, spacious room, love the jets in the shower. We'll be back next year...same time, same place!
