Flamingo Las Vegas
- What's Included
Room was nice. Nicely renovated recently. The bathroom was still the old bathroom from the 80's or 90's, very out of date and just ugly. We paid extra for a strip view, but unfortunately the club at Caesars Palace, Omnia Nightclub, was directly across the strip and played REALLY loud music until about 2 in the morning which made it really hard to sleep since my wife and I prefer to go to bed around 11. Also, people decided that screaming and yelling and running up and down the halls nightly was totally ok. We tried to upgrade and we were told that we had to come back between 11 AM and 2 PM. When we returned the next day to upgrade, there were only 5 people working the front desk, the line for check in was packed, and the line for current guests wasn't moving. We waited half an hour in line and it didn't move. We decided to just stick to our current room. You'd think that they'd try and have more people working the front desk at a major hotel on the Vegas strip, but what do I know? The cleaning staff didn't clean our room one day, didnt replace our towels another and another day we came back quickly to grab some things and there was a major language barrier, she must've been very confused, packed up and left immediately and never returned to finish! Suffice to say, we will not be staying at the Flamingo again. We've determined that if we go back to Vegas, we're going to stay down off of Freemont St. Lower room rates, cheaper food, and the city bus is inexpensive and can take us right to the strip.
We stayed at the Flamingo because we heard about the remodeled rooms and we liked the location of the hotel. The emails we got from Flamingo were great, keeping up informed on what to do for check in/check out and even a picture of what our room looked like. However, once we checked in we immediately had to call and have the sheets changed because there were black marks on them. The floor was dirty and the bathroom was not updated at all and smelled of mildew and urine. The crowd at the Flamingo was too young for us and sketchy. I got up at 6am one morning to gamble and go to the gym, and was hit on by 3 different guys. I wasn't comfortable walking around by myself there. We do appreciate the 21+ pool, but again the crowd was too Spring Break like for us. We will not be staying here again, despite the good location. They do have cheap rooms, but I'd say it wasn't worth the money.
We travelled to Vegas in October 2016 after booking the hotel direct. When we arrived it was a little daunting as it was a massive place. Some reviews and pictures on here don't do it justice, it was lovely. We got a room on the 23rd floor overlooking the grounds which was nice and clean and a lot bigger then I thought it would be. After being there a few days we decided to get married at the flamingo chapel and the women at the chapel where so helpful. Got to say a massive thank you to one of the hosts Rodalyn as she was a star from start to finish of our stay here, not only was she helpful in any queries we had she even came to our wedding ceremony as a witness, now you won't get that at another hotel. The location is great as it's dead central on the strip which gave us a chance to split the strip up into 2 days to have a look around 1 day one side and the next day the other sideWe are definitely coming back here as the service and price where second to noneThank you for a great experience
Nasty rooms not really Remolded! The birds outside are not clean actually smells terrible hallways are creepy the elevator are slow and they hasselbu every time u get on!! Very depressed hotel don't go
Recently returned from a 10 day stay at the flamingo hotel. Such a disappointment. Firstly the line to check in was dreadful and we had to wait in line for over an hour. We immediately had to pay for a room upgrade after finding that the rooms did not have coffee making facilities or refrigerators. Surely this should be standard in the 21st century. The room itself was fine. It was clean, comfortable and spacious. On our first morning we went to the family pool. We were searched upon entry by security guards to make sure we were not taking in any food or drinks. I am a 61yr old woman and found this a gross invasion of my privacy, the guard even opened my bottles of sunscreen to check the contents ! We were then charged $6 for a small bottles of water ! In temperatures of over 119 degrees I thought this was outrageous. The family pool is adjacent to the over 21 party pool and the noise from the music was deafening. It blasted out all day everyday, to the point that you couldn't have a conversation. We could even hear it on the 28th floor of the hotel where our room was located. I am an early riser and everyday went down to the patio area at 6am for some fresh air. I was very disappointed to find that at this time of day it was dirty. Overflowing ashtrays and empty cups and glasses on the tables. I would have expected the public areas to have been cleaned during the night. The final problem came when we checked out. We used the in room facility to do this and found we had been overcharged by $104 . That meant yet again I had to get into the lobby queue in order to resolve this matter, I would not stay at this hotel again
