Our Opinion
The Flamingo has a wonderful, tropical pool area and a large lively casino. The entertainment is first-rate as there are many wonderful shows and stand-up acts. The rooms are clean and well kept. The hotel is a little older but the rooms have been renovated and it's in a great central location. Very well priced. Recommended for its location and good value.

Overview
Flamingo, the famous name that kick started Las Vegas. Though 'Bugsy' Siegel's original hotel is now long gone, the Flamingo Las Vegas is still very much alive and kicking. An abundant variety of shows, action packed casino, and the lush tropical pool area makes the Flamingo a great destination.

Location: Center strip, across from Caesar's Palace and the Bellagio.

Trip was good . Room was clean and amenities as promised . Check went smooth all though had to change rooms due to fact that the first room was handicapped room and the bed was terrible, makes me wonder how actual handicapped people are treated. Hotel rectified the problem and second room was great.

Usually good

Have stayed here previously and had no complaints at all. Liked it so I booked 3 more stay with them. Except this time I got in on a delayed flight so it was 1am. They put me in a handicapped room (I'm not handicapped) when I got to my room at 1am I could hear the pounding bass from drais nightclub. Called down to front desk and they said it stays open till 4am. Was not fun having to stay awake till 4 am. Then when I went to have a shower,I realized there was no door on shower stall. Of course the water goes everywhere and makes most of the floor wet in the bathroom. So I had to put a pile of towels down. I'm considering cancelling my next 2 stays.

Convenient location, interior could definitely use an upgrade

I knew going in (from other reviews), that this hotel was a bit more run-down that others. But we decided, for the price, and that we wouldn't be staying in the rooms very much, that it was a factor we were willing to take. We took a FAB room, and it definitely wasn't a nice room (furniture looked like it'd seen much better days), there were scoff marks along the walls, the closet felt 30 years old, and the bathroom (like all other reviews) could have used a facelift (looked like it'd been 30 years as well). But I have to admit, I've been in horrific motels, and this room did NOT feel dirty. If we went back, we'd upgrade to a nicer room, or a nicer hotel, but we were not unhappy by our room/stay at all. Also must stress how great the location was. It was our first time in Vegas and being in the heart of everything is ultimately what made the trip really great.

Not a great hotel anymore, yea I'm talking about Flamingo

Was placed in a suite adjourning room type room and the neighbors were extremely noisy and I asked to be moved and they would not move me at all. Was there for 4 long gruesome days with this not cool at all. The room did not have a stopper for the tub. The sheets and blanket smell horrible. No ice machine on the long and I do mean long floor I was own. I will NOT be back here again for my twice a year Vegas trip.

A classic property being looted from the top

The Flamingo is one of our "go to" properties for a long weekend. We have always enjoyed the pool, casino and since its creation, Margaritaville casino, bar and restaurant. The room was nice, clean, well maintained. Security was unresponsive to a problem neighbor who kept us up 2 out of 4 nights bemoaning his lost love. Cabana rates were ridiculous. Overall, we will not likely return to this property. It feels as though the staff is all on edge and someone is squeezing out the profits at the cost of client care and comfort.
