Our Opinion
The Flamingo has a wonderful, tropical pool area and a large lively casino. The entertainment is first-rate as there are many wonderful shows and stand-up acts. The rooms are clean and well kept. The hotel is a little older but the rooms have been renovated and it's in a great central location. Very well priced. Recommended for its location and good value.

Flamingo, the famous name that kick started Las Vegas. Though 'Bugsy' Siegel's original hotel is now long gone, the Flamingo Las Vegas is still very much alive and kicking. An abundant variety of shows, action packed casino, and the lush tropical pool area makes the Flamingo a great destination.

Location: Center strip, across from Caesar's Palace and the Bellagio.

Worst Hotel in 20 Years - Really!

The rooms are good size and the heating/air worked pretty good. Ok, those are the only redeeming qualities I could find. Decor very outdated, beds hard, pillows (oh my) reminded me of the 30 yr old pillows I had to use at my Grandmothers house. Bathroom had rust around the drains, cupboard cabinets somewhat held together with Velcro (yes really). No water pressure and water temp that changed from cold to Luke warm. Service is also not a strength. Finally got a couple decent pillows after 3 attempts. The phone had a flashing red light on it. I talked to 7 people, 5 which passed me to someone else, which which promised to fix it. Yes, as we are checking out, it is still flashing as it did in my face all night. The cost was not out of this world, but it is not cheap either. Vegas has much better options.

The room was dirty. The week we were there a piece of candy and hair pin was on the floor, never picked up. The shower curtain was dirty. The shower did not work properly. On the 14th floor an elivator button was pushed into the wall, with a hole that was lite buy the fallen button. The steak house would not seat us saying resivation was required. When no one was at the tables. With next seating 3 hours away. We went to Ruth Chris in Harrah's. I won't be back.

Will not stay here again

Spent 3 nights here and will not return. Old and in need of a major overhaul. I stayed on the 10th floor and my room was big but the furniture was all dinged up. There's basically no bedding. Just a couple sheets with a light blanket in between. Don't even get me started on the bathroom. Gross. I didn't end up showering because the tub was gross. Showered in the spa instead. My friends were staying on the 26th floor (high rollers) and their room was AWESOME! I've stayed in many hotels in Vegas and this is not even close to being in competition to over properties. Not sure why they don't see it necessary to upgrade the rest of the hotel. People would pay more for a better room. While here we had a massage in the spa. The waiting area was far from relaxing. Their were several people in the whirlpool spas and it was loud. My massage was with Rose and she was AMAZING!!!!!! Highly recommend her for a massage. Had dinner at the steak restaurant. I think it's called Cut????It was ok. Service was not up to par of a Hugh end steak restaurant. Slow in coming to the table. Even slower getting our food. We saw several people complain on the slow service. One couple complain to management. Even after that, they ended up leaving.

First timers and will come back!

This was our first time in Vegas and we loved the Flamingo. I liked the fact that we were at the 'iconic' Flamingo when so many others have gone and been rebuilt to fancy plus! The grounds were beautiful, including the flamingos, and bird sanctuary, chapel and the cornerstone monument of Bugsy Siegal . The location was perfect! We didn't know that there were Fab and Go rooms. We had the fab which was the absolute basics, 2 queen beds, a chair, a tv, nightstand, and bathroom with vanity only inside bathroom. No coffee maker, no fridge, plain white linens...but... The bed was comfy, the room was clean and for the amount of time we were in there, it was fine. We had a nice 6th floor view of Caesars and Bellagio. The buffet there was fantastic. The staff were great and very helpful. Would definately recommend and come back again. Oh, and the quickie or 10 minute massages... Ahhh..awesome,, do try it!
