Harrah's Hotel and Casino
- What's Included
I was staying with 17 guys for a bachelor party weekend. The first night we were drinking at the dorcey (their casino bar) and the groom accidentally knocked over a small table which had a glass top that slid off and broke. Why they don't have plexiglass I can't fathom. The large black bouncer with braids said we had to go and we did. 5 minutes later, near the elevators, he grabs the groom by the neck and aggressively walks/drags/chokes him back to the bar. Three security guards (Erick, Sanja, and David) and a manager (Ryan) show up and have us wait for over an hour talking about property damage and getting an estimate. Despite giving them all of our IDs, room numbers, etc. they refuse to let us leave and start telling a different story about how they warned us multiple times (not true). I explain to them that we are spending thousands of dollars here every night and it was accidental but still they held all of us for over an hour, dressing us down in public, and forced us to pay $100 at the cage for a broken glass table top. This is honestly the worst management failure I've ever experienced. That is not how you properly handle minor incidents. The next morning I went downstairs and spoke with Mary at the front desk about our poor experience and treatment the previous night and I got the feeling that she really couldn't care less. It seems like despite this being a 5 star hotel there is not one person I've met who actually cares about the guest experience. It doesn't matter how nice the hotel is if the hospitality is lacking and I believe it's non-existent here. I won't be staying at the Venetian next time.
What a Joke!! THIS HOTEL AND IT'S STAFF ARE THE WORST FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! STAY SOMEWHERE ELESE!! NEVER AGAIN!! We stayed for 2 nights this past Tuesday. Check in: We had a Bella Suite booked for 4 people. After thinking about it, we asked to up grade to a larger room w/another bathroom/bed. We were told it would cost another $250.00 for the upgrade and it would be the Piazza Suite. No great view, brought in a roll away, the couch pulls out into a sofa sleeper(not mentioned at check in), and the toilet was immediately on our left as soon as we walked in. ****NOTE: THE MASTER BATH HAS A SHOWER AND JACUZZI TUB W/OUT ANY PARTIONS/PRIVACY SO ONLY 1 PERSON AT A TIME CAN SHOWER/BATHE AT A TIME IF PRIVACY IS AN ISSUE!!THE MASTER TOILET DOES HAVE A DOOR . It's a basic master bath. Nothing exceptional.Trash on the Floor: As soon as I walked into the bathroom, there was a crushed soap box behind the door, some dirty tissue, and an empty plastic bag ON THE SUPPOSED CLEANED FLOOR!! DOESN'T HOUSEKEEPING CHECK TO MAKE SURE THE FLOOR IS CLEAN FOR ITS GUESTS???Housekeeping Manager: When I called to demand that a manager come and look at the trash left behind, a useless manager came up to our room. She took out a cell phone and took pictures of the trash and said, "someone will come to clean it up." We walked out of our room and 2 housekeepers were cleaning the room across from our room. The manager talked to them and then turned to me and said, "the housekeeper has to go to lunch. Can she come back and clean it after she gets back from lunch?" WTH?? Are you serious?? WTH is wrong with the Housekeeping Manager?? SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND NEEDS TO BE TRAINED ON CUSTOMER SERVICE!! A PROFESSIONAL WOULD HAVE FOUND A HOUSEKEEPER NOT GOING TO LUNCH AND IMMEDIATELY GONE INTO THE BATHROOM TO CLEAN UP THE TRASH THAT SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! TERRIBLE!!!***NOTE: THERE AREN'T ANY COFFEE POTS/PODS IN ANY ROOM AT THE VENETIAN!! WTH?? EVERY HOTEL I'VE EVER STAYED AT HAS COMPLIMENTARY COFFEE/TEA FOR ITS GUEST BUT NOT AT THE VENETIAN!!Cabana Rental: We rented a cabana on the Venetian Side($250.00) but it was changed and we were moved to the Palazzo Side. WE WEREN'T NOTIFIED OF THE CHANGE!! So, at the Palazzo Side, a young idiot starts to inform us of the change. She then said, "Ya, we have you over here BECAUSE IT'S MORE CONVIENT FOR OUR SERVERS IF YOU'RE GROUPED TOGETHER." WTH?? DID SHE REALLY JUST SAY TO US THAT IT'S MORE CONVIENT FOR THEIR EMPLOYEES AND NOT FOR PAYING CUSTOMERS? WHERE IS THE MANAGEMENT?? IT'S SO CLEAR THAT THE VENETIAN HAS THE WORST, MOST UNPROFESSIONAL AND NOT TRAINED EMPLOYEES!! I'VE NEVER BEEN THIS DISRESPECTED ANYWHERE!!So, after being moved to the ONLY 2 REMAINING CABANAS ON THE VENETIAN SIDE, we were given Michelle as our server. She was charming, smiley and helpful. I told her about the TERRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL, AND CLASSLESS CHECK-IN ON PALAZZO SIDE. In fact, we gave Michelle an additional $50.00 tip on top of the 18% gratuity for her service. She's truly a good server.I could continue with the TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE but I only noted the BIG PROBLEMS. I WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER STAY AT THE VENTIAN EVER AGAIN!!! There are so many other hotels that provide good customer service. Do your research and STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
I thought the hotel and casino was very nice.2 things that stood out were:(1) The entire place was exceptionally clean &(2) The staff was amazingly friendly. The food and beverage for all of our events was excellent.Thank you
Fab room! Huge and Room staff are great, but there aren't any areas for guests to sit even..... it's just all public, the whole place is either casino or shopping Center... it's like staying above a shopping centre to get to you room. There is no hotel dining room, just a plethora of independent restaurants so no feeling of being inside your own hotel and it's so loud everywhere but I understand they are all like this on the strip! Website says bottled water in your room, not so when you get there. 5 usd is a bit steep for essential drinking water! Pool deck lovely With water fountains, but weirdly hardly any umbrellas ! We went on a heatwave of 45 degrees so big problem! You can pay for shaded cabanas but not something I would pay for at 250 usd. Lack of pool waiter staff to order drinks from. But I do like saying I'm staying here!
We celebrated my gf's bachelorette party in vegas in March. We loved the restaurant downstairs for their over generous salad sizes (I am careful with my weight) and the fresh juice store next to it. Oh the restaurants on the 10th floor and the pool on the 10th floor are amazing. We had more fun hanging out on the 10th floor than downstairs.
