Our Opinion
Good service and a lively casino make Harrah's a nice central Strip hotel. Great comedy venue. Recommended as a good mid-range hotel option.

Overview
Experience the action and excitement of this lively center Strip hotel. From Carnaval Court, an outdoor piazza with strolling entertainers and musicians to the large action packed casino, Harrah's easily keeps pace with the new mega resorts.

Location: Central Strip across from The Mirage and adjacent to Imperial Palace.

Great Las Vegas Resprt

Excellent service from staff. Front desk, maids, casino staff and security staff members were extremely helpful. Suite was kept clean and bathroom was well stocked with supplies. Casino was really good with user friendly machines and great dealer games. They even offered classes to brush up on skills or to learn a new one. All areas were kept clean with crews constantly cleaning everything. Many conveniently located restaurants and shops in the complex. The workout area was fantastic. Every piece of equipment you could possibly need. A wonderful experience and we hope to return in the future.

"Human Nature"Show and Grand Lux Cafe

Have stayed at Venetian Hotel several times in past 10 years. It is a fabulous hotel, the most beautiful of any interior in Las Vegas. I would have stayed here again but the family wanted to stay at TI across the street, so I was over ruled. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the time spent on the spacious gaming floor with high ceiling, variety of user friendly games( to my surprise I found penny machines ) The hotel offers a good range of dining choices and shows. It was raining the next day so it was also a great way to get down the strip by going inside the Venetian "drama" frontage decor, which has a mini Thomas Keller Bouchon bakery stand to grab a coffee or something else to drink. And one of the few spots for thousands of steps where you can find tables and chairs to sit and sip while checking your "walking GPS" on your phone or get out of the wind and sprinkling rain that we were escaping. But this time it was dinner and a show....we dined before the show at the Grand Lux, in the hotel. It used to be a super upscale coffee shop to our mind, but now serves great food in all categories; every meal during day or evening.Always a nice place; it been tweaked a bit, has a variety of cuisine, variety of pricing, quality food, new and improved decor, well trained staff, and an efficient kitchen. It used to be our "go to place" for breakfast or lunch, grab a coffee and dessert after a show.... but it is different now. More choices.I had an entree, special chicken dish, special mashed potato with vegetables.... after several days of running around town, buffets and a snack here or there, a sit down meal served by a informed waitress in a relaxed setting with a "comfort food" choice was great. They even turned the music lower for us;-)Other family had similar choices, and some small plates. No one had dessert because we were off to see the Aussie group "Human Nature" discovered and produced by Smokey Robinson. FYI: Go see their show....We had seen their other show a few years before which was a perfect blend of male group voices singing mainly Motown and California 60's and 70's music. Being originally from Motown we thought they were awesome. Plus, of course we sang or mouthed the words....and not everyone was over 60 in our group but 30's-70's. Lots of classics including homage to Frank and friends. This new show spans a wider range of hits from the 50's into the 80's. They added 2 dancers to jazz up their show( and give them time for quick costume changes, which worked well.). Their band is hot hot hot and loud. The stage and theater is not too large, so almost any seat is not too far from the stage. It may be better to sit farther back as the sound fills the room and they use digital media graphics that show enlarged photos of the group or solo artist they are portraying, with a little history of that song, etc. We were about 9 rows from the front.Plus, colors blend as the music changes, which helps give a great energized presentation. Worth the ticket price. We dashed out quickly but the "guys" were already in the theater lobby to greet the audience, ready to sign autographs, sell/hawk their great CD's, their souvenir programs, sell other "stuff".....i say good for them. They were funny and have great voices. Most days they do two shows.

Forth time here and wont come back

I have stayed here 4 or 5 times in the last 10 years and it has definitely gone downhill. Its very busy, smoky and the crowd is younger and more rowdy than ever. After a pool day there was an elevator full of very loud people who ended up getting into a brawl when stopped at the 3rd floor through the doors so everyone waiting had to move back quickly to get out of the way. I ended up getting charged for 2 drinks in the fridge just because I put a container of olives in that slightly bumped the drinks in the fridge. On check in to the palazzo we were giving our keys to find out after a ton of confusion and no help from a few clueless staff the room was actually in the Venetian. I would stay at the Wynn or Vdara next time and will not be coming back here.

Walk through the sites

We went inside a number of the hotels on the strip the Venetian was one of them. Lots of shops and the inside Gondola ride was different to see, the water was a lot cleaner than Venice Italy. Nice place for a nice afternoon walk to get out of the heat.
