Harrah's Hotel and Casino
- What's Included
OK, the Venetian is a beautiful property, and the suites are nice. The problem is that staying at the Venetian is like watching Tim Burton's remake of Planet of the Apes; lots of amazing visuals and sensory overloads, but no real substance, and you wind up thinking, "that was a waste of time." The hotel focuses of bombarding your sensations, but the staff have no incentive to be helpful, or even courteous. The first red flag is at check-in, where the line stretches forever, and none of the front desk staff are in any rush to get you to your room. It's as though their pay is directly linked to the amount of time you wait to check in (in a bad way). The second red flag is the casino layout. There's seems to be no rhyme or reason for where the different games are located. It's not even like the place is trying to confuse you as you try to exit - it confuses you when you're trying to stay, to the point where you just leave the place and go to a different casino...which is exactly what we did.The worst part about the Venetian's success is the "I don't care" attitude of it's employees. Stay away from here, and try a different hotel. If you really need to ride the gondola, buy a ticket, but you'll have a better experience at another hotel.
Very nice hotel and casino, many shopping options and a good variety of restaurants. Good environment and entertainment. Amazing pools and everything is close and easy to access. The Gondola ride is a must.
We always stay at the Venetian when going to Las Vegas. Our room was on the 23 floor it had partial view of the strip, High Roller and the Venezia pools. Wasn't bad for not paying for a view. My problem with the hotel is the casinos are always really smoky. I think they need to upgrade the ventilation. It doesn't seen like other casinos are as smoky.
This is an amazing place to visit, but for an overnight stay in Las Vegas stay somewhere simpler and just visit here. We drove. Parking is easy and free. Finding the desk and checking in was difficult and slow. A spectacular room, but hard to find. (No coffee facility or fridge space.) For example, the lift from the car park did not say where to get out for reception (it was floor 3) and then another lift or escalator and then a long walk. Floor 3 on the car park lift is floor 2 on the hotel lift - causing more confusion. The staff are plentiful and helpful. Reception helpful but too noisy. For a two or more night stay this would have been a worthwhile experience. Searching revealed decent food and drink at acceptable prices from many outlets. Do visit!
Amazing hotel! We stayed in a Bella suite very large and had everything we needed. We travelled with a young child which was no problem at all. Excellent location on the strip and well away from the craziness down the road. You feel very happy walking into the hotel. The place is so big the only downside is the casino and the smoke but once you work out other entrances you can avoid it altogether. If you go to a pool get in early as it is very busy but still enjoyable. We did a gondola ride expensive but fun to do. Beautiful hotel with great service. Absolutely wonderful stay totally recommend The Venetian to anyone!!!
