You can choose The Venetian or Palazzo are the same in different buildings but there is a beautiful connection with shops , casinos , canal(with gondola) and good restaurants. The environment makes you feel in Italy. The rooms are big with a small living room but you can feel in your home. it's easy to get taxi and they have parking for your car.
I stayed for four nights in a Luxury Suite (which I think is the lowest grade of accommodation but which is still fully deserving of its name). The room was spacious, with a king size bed and a double size sofa bed, two enormous flat-screen TVs, writing desk, ironing equipment, safe, ample storage space, a comically overpriced minibar, and a large bathroom (which also had a TV, just in case you struggle to go without while you're brushing your teeth and so on). Staying at the Venetian isn't cheap but you really do get a lot for your money.A full list of the hotel's facilities would be essentially endless but it has several good quality restaurants, a decent craft beer pub, a shopping arcade set around an indoor recreation of a Venetian street/canal, a food hall, a nightclub (I think), rooftop swimming pool, and an expansive casino, of course. And for an enormous hotel, the service was surprisingly good with friendly, well-informed and very helpful staff.
My stay here was wonderful, the staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurants were excellent. The rooms were large and very comfortable. Housekeeping kept the rooms very clean and stocked with toiletries.
I have enjoyed every last minute of my stay. I liked the rooms as they are very spacious. the design and the art of the place is breath taking. its has a great location and nice facilities specially the conferences area.
This is not a positive review partially because of the service that would not have been acceptable at any price range but mostly because when you are at the top loyalty level for a Hotel chain, and you are paying $500 plus per night, you expect the highest level of service. The property itself is clean, well maintained and the housekeeping staff is great. The bed is comfortable, and the suite is well designed. If not for the service issues, our rating would be 5-star level. To set the stage for the story of this stay; it is important to note that both my wife and I are individually IHG Platinum Members. I have been a member for many years, and she has been for just the past year or so. We have stayed in IHG hotels in the USA, Europe, China and Macao. We have stayed at this property two previous times. Because the benefits looked valuable, last year and this, I upgraded to Intercontinental Platinum Ambassador level for a fee. Venetian Las Vegas is an Intercontinental affiliate, so the Ambassador benefits apply. The story began on September 29 when I called IHG Rewards reservations to arrange for our stay October 19 - 23. One Ambassador benefit is a free weekend night per year if available. I was told by the reservations rep that that I must call Venetian reservations to use the free weekend night voucher. I then called Venetian reservation and was told that this could only be done by IHG. About 30 min into the transaction now, I called IHG again. This time I restated my request and mentioned the runaround. The rep was better trained and explained that she could do it but needed to call the property to check availability. I was on hold a few minutes, and she came back and told me that the benefit was not available for those dates, but all of the other benefits would be including the upgrade. I reserved the room and got the confirming email. We arrived late night October 19. The desk clerk said that there was no indication of my Ambassador status. I asked her to look it up, and she did. Then I asked for the upgrade which is a guaranteed benefit. She informed us that no upgrade was available. I reminded her that it is a guaranteed benefit and she resisted. I asked for a manager. She went back to the office, and AJ came out to help. He informed us that there was nothing he could do. I insisted that was unacceptable. Strangely he decided to look to see if indeed there was something. He found a suite with two Queen beds though we always insist upon a King. We refused that and insisted on an upgrade with a king. He found one but on a smoking floor which was also unacceptable. What bothered us most was that he kept saying that there was nothing he could do and continued to smile. He offered no sympathy or indication that he cared. He said that we could use some of our valuable vacation time tomorrow to move to an upgraded room. My wife was so perturbed that she suggested looking for another hotel but I was tired and suggested that we will work it out in the morning.Thursday morning after breakfast I went to the IHG counter and spoke to Ryan who represented IHG well. I explained that we did not get the other benefits listed for Ambassador such as daily newspaper and gift as well as the fruit plate that we did get on the 2nd day. She apologized profusely, moved us to the upgrade and made an adjustment to charges as an apology. I also asked to speak to a higher level manager so I could provide some direct feedback about our treatment the night before. Ryan walked over to the Manager Francesca, who was temporarily tied up but promised to call me as soon as she was free, I left my cell number for her to call. That was Thursday morning. I did not ever receive a call from Francesca.I had a few minutes on Saturday morning so I thought I would try again. By this time, we were thinking that the service level was telling us that we should find another chain to be our primary choice in the future.I had a private conversation with Front Desk Manager Juliana, who did seem to understand. She apologized with feeling and did another adjustment to the bill and sent a very nice gift to our room.Julianne saved us from defecting, but another experience like this would probably be the end of our loyalty. As for the Ambassador level, it is clearly not worth the fee. We will not renew it. While we did get to use our free weekend night last year in Paris, the limitation to just the Intercontinental Brand properties makes it less useful. That this huge hotel had no availability for the free night indicates that it not relay a benefit unless the property is unpopular. The administrative weaknesses imply a weakening management and expectation that we would have to work to get our promised benefits.
