At best ok amd Not as great as you might think

Ok so i stayed at this resort with 3 family members. We had two rooms and because I do not like the smell of marijuana at all we upgraded one of the rooms to a 'Stay Fresh' room to avoid smelling it in the hallways or coming our of someone else's room. It also seemed like a cool concept with the 'Stay Fresh' devices that were in the room and bathroom. So a day after we Che k in we went for breakfast and the room smelt like marijuana was coming through opening and crack in the room. So bad I called the front desk to complain. The front desk even told me there was really nothing they could do which I don't believe, and then instructed me to put the air filter on high and see of that works. It took about 10 minutes bit it did. So that was great that at least the air purifier works great. The alarm clock that was supposed to simulate Dawn didn't work, and the vitiman c distributor on the shower head in the bathroom was empty as well as the aroma therapy device in the bedroom. I stayed there 4 days and neither was replaced. I was also very angry that my room was only cleaned one day. The rest of the days seemed like the hotel just didn't care. Also after checking in i went straight to my room to take a shower and the shower head was broken, dust everywhere, and the bed looked like someone was sitting on it before we walked in. This was very very irritating. Now here is the most part. My family members had to leave a day early because of a family emergency after we extended our stay for a day. My cousin had put the extra day on his credit card but he was also the one that had to leave. So we told the front desk agent to make sure that my name was on the room. Later that day I lost my room key and had to get another one from the front desk and they told me I could not get another key because my name was not on the room. I was very irritated but I understood their security police and completely agreed with it. I had to describe my personal items in the room as much as possible including locations of different items and locate something in the room with my name on it like a luggage tag or something with my name on it. So I had a prescription medication bottle that had my address and full name and I was allowed in. I had my spare key in the room so I was ok after but they would not give me a key from the front desk so even though I was allowed in and proved I was staying in that too. They would not give me a key from the front desk unless my cousin called in to verify me eve. After they saw I was the only one staying there and my name and other personal information were all over the room. Bottom line, good security bad agent. Besides that the shower handle used to turn the water on was broken and to make things better the view from our room was obstructed by dirt on the Windows. We did not need the blackout shades because the dirt did the job nicely. On a positive note. I saw KA. which is inside of the resort so it was nice not having to uber or cab it to see the show. We ate at Emerils which was nice as well and Wet Republic was awesome. If your looking to save money on food there is s pizza shop at the bottom of the escalator that leads to the uber pickup location. It's like $10 for unlimited toppings, and the pizza tastes great. I'm going to just be blunt about this resort. It is a nice looking, great location, good nightlife, just beware of your room because looks can be deceiving.

A decent stay

We travelled from the UK and stayed at the MGM for 5 nights for my Uncle's 50th birthday trip. The hotel is massive and has several restaurants and things to do. Overall we found it to be very expensive. The prices at the al la carte restaurants were extortionate and we avoided those. We mainly ate from the food court but again found the food to be overpriced. Also, there is barely a vegetable or anything grilled in sight. We ate in the buffet restaurant on our last night which was nice.We visited the pool area once because, as lovely as it was, there were NO parasols and I suffered badly from sun stroke in the 39 degree heat! The lobby bar played great music mainly club classics, R&B and Hip Hop. We spent quite a lot of time here as it was a great place to chill out and meet over travelers. We stayed in the Grand Tower. The room was lovely, my favorite part was the huge bathroom. Only downside was that our side of the hotel faced another bit of the building so our room was quite dark. Be prepared to walk ALOT to get to anywhere in the hotel. Also, it's customary to tip tip tip! There is always someone expecting a tip and sneaky VAT added on. Don't forget that there's a resort fee too!Excursion-wise we visited LA for the day with an amazing company called Grand Canyon Tour & Travel. We had the time of our lives visiting Santa Monica Pier, Hollywood sign & Walk of Fame, celebrities houses, Beverly Hills and much more. Breakfast & lunch were included in the price too and we travelled in a small coach that could hold up to around 20 people. We also went to see a show called Hitzville which was amazing. I'd also recommend the outlet as you get premium clothes for a fraction of the price.I'd stay at MGM again but would bring more money next time!

Sensational

What a great hotel with every amenity you could want. Rooms are nice and the hotel is simply massive. Breakfast was great. Let's face it - it's Vegas and a pool during the day and drinking and gambling at night is the order of events. I would definitely stay here again. The location is also not bad with the railway off the main entrance. Parking was ok but $20 per night. Overall great fun.

Amazing hotel

Huge hotel with fantastic clean modern rooms. Quick check in and wonderful staff. The pool area has 5 pools plus a amazing lazy river! Lots of great restaurants and entertainment to choose from. The buffet is top notch and delicious, free wifi and great parking if needed. The casino is well ventilated even the smokers didn't bother me at all. Highly recommend MGM to all age groups!!!
