New York New York
- What's Included
This was my first time in Vegas, and it was only as a one-night stop over on our way from Denver to NoCal, but after such a great time at New York New York, we will be coming back again soon! I'm an outdoor girl who did not expect to really enjoy the bright lights of Vegas, but we had a WONDERFUL time - from the customer service (we were upgraded from our regular room to a suite on the 37th floor!) to the great location (walking distance from anything you could possibly want to see on the strip), to the fantastic food and atmosphere, I only wish we could have stayed longer! It was almost like we got to see the Big Apple and Las Vegas all in one stop! Reasonable prices, spotless, well appointed rooms (with amazing views!), excellent food (even room service was great!) and lots of fun to be had - I highly recommend NY, NY whether you are a Vegas first-timer like me or have already been and are looking for a new spot to check out!
I stayed overnight at New York New York while visiting a friend in Las Vegas. I didn't spend much time in the hotel, but what I did was enjoyable. The room was clean; maybe slightly dated decor but not aged; clean, tidy, and in good shape. Shower was too short for me (5'9") which is probably because it was older. The roller coaster was right outside my window but didn't cause any noise issues. However, the hallways were very loud, so when some folks were standing in the hallway at 3am having a drunken conversation, I could hear them as if they were in my room. But otherwise, no noise problems, didn't hear other rooms, etc.The staff was very helpful and I was impressed that despite potentially long lines at check in everything moved quickly and smoothly. They also were quick to get me a new hotel key card when I thought I was ready to check out but had left some things in the safe. Didn't eat at any restaurants but grabbed a bite at the Starbucks, which was an epic line in the morning, though the staff there did a great job moving things along.
I had a comped night available for NY NY, and have always wanted to stay here. We only stayed one night, but really didn't leave the property... didn't need to. We went on the roller coaster, shopping, gambled, and walked around 'the village.' The room was spacious, modern, and beautiful. There is also a little hole in the wall pizza joint with superb spaghetti and meatballs... for like 7 bucks. Fantastic. I will absolutely stay here again.
Lacks a little bit of the glamour of the likes of Caesar's Palace or the Venetian but an excellent hotel nevertheless and at a different price point. Room was spotless. Very comfy beds. Convenient location at the southern end of the strip very helpful concierge/bell and reception staff. Would be happy to do again and to recommend. Coffee making facilities and a fridge should be provided in rooms but I understand why they don't given the small city of outlets that are in the hotel and nearby.
Travelled from Australia for our first trip to Vegas, stayed 6 nights at NYNY absolutely loved it there... Staff were very friendly, restaurants had great food at reasonable prices, room was large and clean and bed comfy, drinks a bit on the expensive side, we did have some luck with the slot machines but lost on the tables...LOved the New York theme of the casino...Had no problem walking or catching taxis to other casinos... Casino just had a lovely casual atmosphere about it... All in all we had a great time at NYNY and we will be back....
