Paris Las Vegas
- What's Included
There was no line for check-in, which is very rare for a Las Vegas strip hotel. The process was fast and easy and we didn't have to walk through the casino to get to the guest elevators. The room was very nice. It was large, clean and updated. The location of the hotel is perfect-right in the middle of everything. There was free parking for locals. We were impressed!
This was our second trip to Vegas. The Paris is in a great location, right in the middle of the strip, directly across from the Bellagio. The rooms are well appointed and kept clean and up to date. Check in was quick and easy. The room itself was a "Red Room" and included a King Bed, a desk, a couch, a TV with cable, a safe, and a mini fridge. The bathroom had a bath, a stand alone shower, one sink and a vanity mirror. The bed was very comfortable (it was semi-soft) and my wife really liked the pillows. The room was a conjoined room, and we could hear our neighbours through the door. The mini fridge was empty when we checked in. We called down to the front desk (we didn't want to be charged if they simply forgot to stock it) and we were told that they don't stock any fridges in the rooms. This was handy because we bought beer at the CVS (which is next door) and we were able to keep it cold. It was also nice to have somewhere to keep left overs from dinner. The resort fee was $39.00 a day. When we stayed here there were major issues with the internet service (which is part of the resort fee). We called down to report it and we were told that they had people working on it and that the managers have decided to provide a credit to guests because of the trouble. When we checked out, there was no note of our call on our file and the clerk told us that they can't refund us the resort fee. We asked her to check with her manager, and this started a rather annoying back and forth with the clerk as the middle man between us and the manager. I would have preferred to talk directly with the manager about the trouble so that I could have explained why I was disappointed with the Internet service. We visited from Canada and did not have US cell service during our stay. We relied on the hotel wifi for a connection and needed it for tour confirmations, show reservations, and keeping in touch with family while we were away. In the end, the hotel credited half of our resort fees, which we thought was fair, but it was a real hassle and the manager refused to come out and speak with us directly about the issue.Besides the internet hiccup, we spent some time at the pool. We liked that they checked room cards at the door (so that people that were not staying at the property could not get into the area.) No outside drinks are allowed in the pool area. They do have drink service. We rented a cabana for 1 day and we were very satisfied with the amenities and service. The cabana had 4 loungers, a day bed, a TV, a mini fridge with water stocked, chairs, and a table. The pool is on the roof of the casino (1 floor up) and is directly below the Eiffel Tower. The pool itself is average, and there is only 1 large pool. The casino sticks to it's theme very well and the shops feel like you are walking along a street in Paris. There are lots of options for food. This casino is also connected to Bally's, which is nice. Drink service seems a bit sparse in the casino, we gambled for a while here and didn't see 1 drink girl come by. This was a bit disappointing.During our stay, the hotel also had some major issues with their misters. The mist devices were not functioning at the property during our stay. The restaurants did not have them on and the pool had us sign a waiver when we rented the cabana indicating that we understood they were not running. We walked past Mon Ami Gabi one day and the pipes were leaking heavily, so it seemed to be an issue with maintenance.Overall, we did rate this hotel a 4/5 because we feel rating it 3/5(average) is not fair. The hotel is above average, but they have the potential to earn a 5/5 rating. Management should take note that if you are going to charge a steep resort fee of $39.00 a night, the amenities should be flawless and without issue. If issues arise, take ownership of them and don't refuse to face your customers. (Note: we weren't angry, yelling, or the like. We just wanted to explain why we were frustrated. We were pleased to receive the comp, but the fact that we had to negotiate and ask for it was disappointing.)We will definitely consider returning to the Paris. We understand extenuating circumstances come up, but overall we were happy with our stay.
Super easy and quick check in/check out machine in Guest services so no waiting in line. Whole decorated atmosphere is amazing. Several delicious restaurants to choose from....Asian, French bistro, coffee and pastry shop, buffet, pizza by the slice, crepes stand..I tried it all and everything was amazing but especially the buffet. If you keep walking thru the hotel it is connected to Bally's. Stop by on the way to the flavored oxygen bar and they'll throw a free massager on your shoulders....:)I stayed in the Queen Burgandy room and the beds were the most comfortable I've ever stayed in. Location is wonderful and right next door is a CVS where you can grab cheaper bottled water and snacks. Score!
It was our first time staying here, and it was a nice hotel, all public areas very clean too. Our room was quite spacious and clean. There was a good selection of places to get meals and was well appointed to walk along the strip.
The casino charging parking fee on top of resort fee . Not cool . Beware !!!!!! They said in order to waive the parking fee you would need to be a platinum member card holders. I have never see any Casino charger they customer parking fee to play and stay at they Casino. Very disappointed!!!!!!!!!
