Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, not as great for family as I had hoped

We came here on spring break in an effort to do something different than the beach. This hotel was recommended on many family sites. They did have many things for kids, including movie theater, bowling alley, onsite childcare, food court and plenty of good restaurants. Unfortunately all of these things were only accessible by walking through smoky casino which is not great for kids. We had 2 adjoining rooms for our party of 7, 3 adults and 4 kids (2-13). The rooms were nicely appointed and larger than usual rooms. The bathrooms were awesome with everyone taking advantage of soaking tubs. Staff at all points were super friendly and helpful. We had a snafu with the airport shuttle but the hotel quickly took care of it. The staff at the concierge desk were so knowledgeable and helped us decide what would work best for our large party. My 2 year old really enjoyed the onsite childcare however it didn't open until 11am. And there really wasn't anything else for her to do in the mornings. Pool was open at 9 but it was too cool. An outdoor space for her to run around would have been great. We took advantage of the free shuttle to the strip but because it only ran every 2 hours, we really had to plan around it as taxis were too expensive to take back to the casino. Lack of coffee in the room really stunk as I didn't want to have to get dressed and go down to Starbucks every day. I would summarize it this way: if you are going to Vegas for a meeting or convention and want to bring the family, this is the best choice. However I would not recommend for a destination trip for families with young kids.

Gorgeous Room with a View

Extremely comfortable in all regards. Downright luxurious! Spent a week here for a business meeting and never got tired of it. Was actually a relief to be off the mayhem and hype of the Strip. Never gambled, but enjoyed restaurants in the hotel, movies, etc. Girlfriend visited the spa and said the brown sugar scrub was "the best ever". Only complaint is that the smell of cigarettes permeates the entire public area, though the room was totally clean and smoke free. Other benefits... Free casino parking for your car, easy access to Red Rocks park, walking distance to nice restaurants in Summerlin. Enjoyed every minute.

Nice place, terrible wifi

I came here for a conference. The facilities are nice. The rooms are large, well appointed and clean. But, the in-room Wi-Fi was unusable. That seems unacceptable for a place that hosts business conferences.

Expected much more

Had high expectations going here, but overall we were pretty disappointed. We got in fairly late (around 10pm) and when we went to check in, hotwire messed up our reservation (there was 7 of us, 2 rooms booked, but they only sent one to the hotel). Our paperwork clearly showed 2 and the people at the front desk knew this, but we had to contact hotwire to sort it out, which is understandable. However instead of trying to help us it was "go deal with it and come back after you figure it out" sort of attitude. We're from out of country and had to find a way to get the contact number and make the call on our own. They were nice enough to let us check into the one room while we were on the phone for 1+ hours, but we had a wheelchair with us. They set us up in literally the last rooms at the end of an extremely long hallway, as far as possible from elevators. Basically just zero attention to customer service or helping out our situation.Once we got to the room, ordered room service and it was absolutely disgusting. Got a cheese pizza and fries for the kids we were with, both of which all 7 of us just couldn't eat. It was gross. Highly recommend avoiding room service at all costs.Resort was clean and nice, but honestly the effort needed to push our wheelchair as far as we had to every time we wanted to leave the room, they lost out on a lot of our business as if we're going that far, we went offsite to go do other things rather than maybe making some trips to the casino.Too bad, the resort is in a great area, every amenity you can think of is nearby, but basically got treated like second rate guests (figure maybe it's because we booked through hotwire, but good way to make sure we look at other places in the future.)

Loved this place - Luxury!

Was here for a meeting/convention and this place was awesome. Beautiful, comfortable rooms that made you feel in luxury, even with the pretty basic rooms. Gorgeous pool area, which I didn't get to visit, but sure wished I had the time. Would love to come back here for a couple vacation days to just totally relax. Everything you need is here, you never have to leave the resort.
