The LINQ Hotel & Casino
- What's Included
Great room with nice and up-to-date furnishings. Had wonderful time with the atmosphere and hanging out with the crowds from the marathon. Employees were nice and friendly with service. Will return to Vegas very soon.
This was our first trip to Vegas and if I had to base our experience on this hotel, we will never go back!!From the moment we checked in we experienced HORRIBLE customer service. The front desk was so cold and unwelcoming it seemed as if they couldn't care less if we stayed there or not. Every person that we dealt with there was the same. The first thing we noticed as we walked to our room was the dark and dingy walls and the constant smell of marijuana lingering in the hallway. Everyday! The first night we were awoken by the fire alarm at 3:30 AM.which was very scary! And you would think that was just an accident or false alarm but the very next morning we were frightened again when we were awoken by the fire alarm going off at 5:30 AM.This was not the hotel or customer service you would expect when coming to a place like Vegas to spend money and have a good time!
Arrived from the airport in a $22 cab ride about 10:15 a.m. to The Linq.Hotel. Paid the $30 early check-in, which took less than 10 minutes. We always like to arrive in Vegas on a Sunday or Monday for a 4 night stay. Much cheaper for a flight and room package on a Sunday or Monday arrival, and the elevators will have much shorter waits than on Fridays and Saturdays. The Vegas hotels are a lot busier on weekends with the California crowd. The rooms still remind me of the old Imperial Palace rooms, but they did a great job remodeling the bathrooms, nice rain shower head. The room has a small refrigerator that is turned off and you will have to turn it on. Don't ask the front desk for walk up calls, I never got a wake up call now twice. The Linq is in the center of casinos and restaurants on both sides of the hotel. My wife and I visited 19 casinos in our 4 days all just walking distance form the hotel. If your a beer lover next to the High Roller is The Yard House ( bar and restaurant ) has a really good happy hour menu on weekdays from 3 to 6 p.m. They had 146 different beer on tap when we were there. Great way to get around Las Vegas is get a bus pass, I like getting the 3 day pass for $20. There are the express buses, the long buses that bend in the middle SDX goes direct to the North and South Premium Outlet malls. Have fun and good luck if your a casino person.
Great location & very adequate hotel. Staff were exceptional. I believe it is the old Imperial Palace hotel. Rooms were clean, have a refrigerator & safe. Reading another review. We were there 3 nights and 2 nights the fire alarm did go off. Not sure if it the hotel's fault or a customer. The promenade was fun but expensive. I would stay there again.
We had upgraded our room but I think we had upgraded to the noisiest rooms in the hotel. We wanted to chill at the pool and it was like listening to a full scale disco. The resort fees are expensive and they tried to charge us extra for wifi on top. The only plus thing about the hotel is that it is in a central location. They offer a free breakfast but it is an $18 dollar voucher per room and coffee is nearly $7 dollars each.
