The LINQ Hotel & Casino
- What's Included
Large clean rooms, excellent play ratings, staff is very cheerful and informative. Location on the strip is great, right across from Ceasar's and near the Cromwell. The oyster bar in Harrah's is excellent.
It's my sixth time in Vegas, and first and last time at The Linq. The room is OK and the location is great. But when you pay 33$ for resort fee and all the pool beds are 60$ for a day,it's feel like someone is laughing at you. No kettle in the room also. And the casino is very loud. Not going to recommend my friends.
Recently updated to be more modern than when it was Imperial Palace, but some of that old, dated, "you're in the cheap spot" feel remains. However, lower table stakes, the one plus to staying in a lower end casino, had vanished when we were there. $15 minimum at most tables. Granted, this was the weekend of St Patricks Day/ March Madness, so take that into consideration. The new pool is pretty good. Modern, and busy, although pretty small. Drink were of course way overpriced, but that's any pool in Vegas where there's more than just a few families, splashing around.
First the good aspects of our time here... we spent 6 nights here during a yearly convention...we booked our room at the last minute, so we were pleased to get a decent room rate. We upgraded to a suite which had a nice view of the pool. We had a small fridge, a sink above the fridge, 2 bathrooms, a nice size separate bedroom, complete with comfy robes and disposable slippers. Our room was kept immaculate thanks to Gaylene, who went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable. She was such a nice person! I also love the location the hotel is in...plenty of shops and outdoor bars right outside the hotel doors. This part of the strip is my favorite...near the Fashion Mall, Miracle Mile Mall, great restaurants, and the nicer hotels. Also, we were gambling at the Linq casino and our favorite dealer was Anna...she was incredibly sweet...a lovely person! The casino does not do a good job of keeping the smoke at bay. I do realize that I'm in Vegas, and lots of people smoke, but many of the other casinos do a better job at eliminating the smoke while walking around, or playing slots and table games. The wifi is spotty, and slow. I suppose since it's included in the resort fee, I shouldn't expect high speed, but it was extremely slow. A fire alarm woke up the entire building at 2:30am, and continued to sound for what felt like 20 minutes, maybe more. We had to get up early that morning, so we were not happy that it took a very long time to figure out that it was a false alarm. The bed in our king size suite was not comfortable at all, nor were the pillows. There did not seem to be enough elevators to accommodate the number of hotel guests; we often had to wait a very long time for an elevator to arrive. This hotel, in my opinion, caters to a younger, more budget conscious crowd, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but if you're looking for a comfortable hotel, you may want to look elsewhere and just gamble here instead.
We had a great experience at the LINQ! We had two rooms, one of which was a suite and both were clean and large considering. The front desk personnel were helpful and knowledgeable. The cleaning staff was readily available and professional.
