Wow! The lobby is a real eye opener as you walk in and the very large aquarium behind the check in desk helps pass the time as you queue to check in. The staff were very friendly and explained all we needed to know. This included the fact that whilst there is a mini bar and snacks available in the room, the minute you touch them you are charged so beware! We stayed here twice, at the start and end of a road trip and our second stay was better than the first but the only reason for this comment is that we found ourselves on a 'smoking permitted' floor first time round. Had we have known I would have asked for non smoking but as it was, we assumed the smoke from the casino was drifting through the air con! Second visit we were two floors up and on a non-smoking floor. Both times the views were amazing, looking down the strip and across towards Rio hotel. The room was very clean and the bed comfy and the room was surprisingly nice and quiet. The only downside is the lack of tea/coffee facilities but this is probably as there are numerous food and drink outlets downstairs and they want you to purchase from those; beware, it is expensive. There is a CVS pharmacy just down the road, get your bottled water and snacks from there! We were there more as a start/finish point to a tour so not really into the whole casino thing but it sure is fascinating to watch and to have a dabble. There is an excellent choice of restaurants and dome of them do offer good value; LVB Burgers was excellent. There is a Dolphin habitat here but we didn't see that; we did see the 'volcano' explode though. That is in the front gardens of the hotel, themed as a tropical island. Extremely well done and good fun. Would stay here again as it is very well located for both ends of the Strip.
Firs time in Vegas and wasn't disappointed at all with choice of hotel. Friendly check in staff although took a bit of time to check in both rooms and was disappointed as girl had advised us she could upgrade us two bedroom suite as we had already contacted the hotel prior to request two rooms close together and possible upgrade due to special celebration. It wasn't until we were just about to be given our keys that she requested 150 dollars extra per night for each of us.. We weren't disappointed with the two double rooms we were given other than the shower was a bit dated and there was no coffee/tea facilities. Coffee/tea facilities are needed in the rooms, the queue each morning for any of the eateries to purchase coffee were extremely long. The room was very large and spotless clean and we had a view over the strip. Toiletries and clean towels were provided and large comfy beds. We did have a problem a few times with the door keys not working but this was always attended to very quickly with someone coming to our floor immediately. The pool area was lovely and immaculate but sunbeds very close together on the first day however, next day area much quieter and able to move our beds away from the crowds. Clean towels provided at the pool as often as you want. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful, only poor comment would be that there didn't seem to be a lot of waitress/waitresses coming round with drinks very often whilst gambling compared to other hotels we visited. One we did come across 'Katie'was the rudest person we met in Vegas. She made it very clear she didn't want to take our order as she was due to finish her shift very soon!!! If visiting again would return to The Mirage and would recommend to friends/family
I stayed at the Mirage as my meetings were located here. I chose to stay in a Tower King room which has the advantage of its own elevator (to the 24th and 25th floors) and the wait times were next to nothing. It was definitely worth the extra 25 bucks a night. The room itself was spacious and had a desk area with plenty of outlets. There were two closets which provided plenty of room for clothes. However; there were not a whole lot of hangers. There were no convenient outlets near the nightstands. Light options were plentiful and good. I did not request a view and so I overlooked rooftops. The bathroom itself was quite spacious; however, the shower was a little cramped. The shower head was ok.Check in did take a little while as they were quite busy when I arrived. The gal was friendly and provided good information on where I needed to go. It was a little difficult at first to figure out how to navigate to where I needed to go as everything goes through the casino but once you figure it out, it becomes quite easy. The atrium was really nice. The convention center is really nice and everything was super clean. Staff were friendly and helpful with any questions. There was good fine dining and casual dining options in the hotel. I did not utilize the pool area or visit the dolphin attraction. The hotel is in a good location of Vegas. It is very close to good shopping - The Forum Shops and Fashion Show. This was my first time staying at this property and I was a little less than excited after reading some of the reviews. However, I found this to be a great place to stay for the price. Things were clean. People were friendly. The room was nice and there was great dining options on the property. I would stay here again.
We stayed at the Mirage as a party of 6 adults. First impression, a little jaded. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfy so that's what counts. The restaurants served great food, our favourite was the steak restaurant, The Heritage, we really loved that. I ate the best steak I have ever had in that restaurant. The casino is a bit too dark and jaded but I had a great night on my wedding night when I won $900 on the roulette table!!! Loved watching Circus Soleil that is highly recommended. The pool is lovely but crowded and it is a mad rush at 9am to find a sunbed! I probably wouldn't stay here again, got my sights on the Venetian or the Wynn next time but all in all, it was fine and well situated.
I would recommend this hotel. The room was really clean, had a stale odor when you first entered the room but went away once you were in there for awhile. The beds and pillows were very comfortable....good night sleep when needed. Restaurants in the casino/hotel have very good food and friendly servers. Visit the Rumbar..excellent price and refills. This casino had great atmosphere. Pool was great relaxing atmosphere. The bell service where very friendly and wanting to make sure our luggage was safe and we had a great stay at the hotel.
