Our Opinion
A highly acclaimed resort, The Mirage offers first-class service to pamper your every need. The Award winning Renoir restaurant is true dining elegance. The many exotic wildlife attractions and lush garden setting make this resort feel like a real tropical paradise. A continuous monorail links to Treasure Island. Very highly recommended.

A spectacular South Seas tropical Oasis, every detail of The Mirage is state-of-the-art. The backdrop of the registration desk is a 20,000 gallon aquarium of sharks & rare tropical fish, and nearby, you walk beneath 80 foot palms over lagoons in the indoor rain forest. Superior quality, sophisticated accommodations and excellence, is just the start of the seemingly endless beauty of waterfalls, an exploding volcano, and a sanctuary for rare white Siberian tigers & exotic animals, this resort is simply paradise. Right in the heart of the Strip, enjoy the complimentary monorail connecting to neighbouring hotel TI - Treasure Island.
Location: On the Strip, centrally located between Treasure Island and Caesar's Palace.

Good location and a range of food and entertainment choices, but Mirage needs some updates.

Pros: Central location; nice pool area (and pool restaurant); variety of activities at the resort including the Secret Garden, Cirque de Soliel, and volcano; range of restaurants including CPK and Carnegie Deli with good food at reasonable price points; pretty friendly staff.Cons: I tried 2 rooms, but they both smelled heavily of smoke (the Mirage went smoke free last year and perhaps hasn't replaced all the room carpet?)-- yuk. The rooms were big, but only moderately clean. The Mirage facilities seem a bit dated, and don't quite compete with other Las Vegas resorts.

Fantastic Service, Very Nice Hotel !

Stayed  at the Mirage  June 13-17. We arrived at 9pm and found out the King Size regular rooms were sold out but, they had King size accessible rooms meaning it was a wheelchair accessible room and there was no tub. The front desk clerk  was very nice and attentive he apologized right away and gave us 1 night resort fee credit and a $75 food & beverage credit. I thought this was outstanding  service especially  because  we weren't going to use there tub anyway, just shower. He told us to come back the next day and switch our room, which we did and were blown away by the amazing view which allowed us to enjoy the Volcano show from our room. Both rooms were very clean, and the beds were comfortable. There was a safe in the rooms too. They have a refrigerator with items you can purchase inside the frig and on the counter above the frig. DON'T TOUCH IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY FOR IT ! There was a tv channel to check flight status so we were able to utilize the late check-out option on the day of our departure because our plane was delayed by 2 hours. It was $25 extra but, well worth it and easy to do from the room TV ! We ordered room service  from the Pantry,  dined in at the Pantry, and ate at the Buffet twice, both places had great food and the Buffet had unlimited beer and wine included for breakfast, lunch and dinner ! We walked across the street one night and ate at Outback Steakhouse for dinner and one night at 2am my husband walked across the street to McDonalds. We went to the Secret Garden to see the animals which was nice. This location is very convenient to everything. The Walgreens across the street has great prices and very nice gifts and souvenirs. My husband fell in love with this hotel and doesn't  want to try others but, we will have to stay where we get the best deals, although I absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Mirage and highly recommend it  !

Weekend Get-a-way with 4 couples

Mirage seems old, worn and smokey to me now. The hotel room was clean, no problem there. The one issue I did find - unlike other hotels we have stayed at in Vegas (mostly Mandalay Bay) did not provide even the simplest of coffee makers. The very last thing I want to do is have to get dressed in the early morning.. after a night in Vegas to make my way through the casino, find Starbucks and then hike back. And, no the hotel coffee is not the best - so yes, I of course make the walk down. it's the 'little' things that can make your stay good. The hotel like many 'older' ones is SO smokey - wish they could remedy this issue (increase the A/C ventilation ?)

There is much better on the Las Vegas strip

Stayed during the week of the 10th July for 5 nights as part of a conference so this review is on a Business basis not vacation. First observation is that it is in need of a refresh throughout the hotel and having visiting multiple other hotels on the strip its definitely not the best. Venetian, MGM, Aria, Corinthian are others that seemed just so much better but not sure where they are on cost per night. Rooms are dated, worn but beds are comfy. There is no tea or coffee facilities in room and you will pay $10 for a bottle of water. Bedding was clean although room was in places grubby, I can understand its a hard job to keep on top of a hotel with 3000 rooms but then thats their problem not mine. Due to the fact you can smoke in the gaming area the ground floor has a strange smell and its dark and seedy, Not somewhere I would personally take a young family of I were going on vacation, Adults drinking/smoking at the slot machines and tables at 7am and to walk through the hotel you have to go always past the gaming.Foor was poor in the breakfast areas as you would expect based on catering to such large numbers.

Fun and Games

The hotel and casino are beautiful and fresh. They have several new games. We did not feel that the payouts were bad, but they did not allow for consistent play. We like to find a slot and play for an extended period. Without a bit of win/lose action, we move on. We went to LVB for a burger. Located in Mirage, they had awesome milkshakes and gourmet burgers.
