Our Opinion
A highly acclaimed resort, The Mirage offers first-class service to pamper your every need. The Award winning Renoir restaurant is true dining elegance. The many exotic wildlife attractions and lush garden setting make this resort feel like a real tropical paradise. A continuous monorail links to Treasure Island. Very highly recommended.

Overview
A spectacular South Seas tropical Oasis, every detail of The Mirage is state-of-the-art. The backdrop of the registration desk is a 20,000 gallon aquarium of sharks & rare tropical fish, and nearby, you walk beneath 80 foot palms over lagoons in the indoor rain forest. Not worth the money!!

I've been to quite a number of hotels in my life The Mirage although very nice it's not worth what they charge $10.00's for bottled water that's the cheapest item in the hotel and if you go to the Venetian or the palazzo it's even more you go to harrahs or planet Hollywood on flamingo etc. it's haft the price and even more.you can always see the sight's of the mirage etc. the same water is $3.00 This hotel has really nothing to offer except expensive charges for everything.a couple can expect to spend 100 to 200 dollars a day just for incidentals maybe more no food etc.

Noisy but nice

This hotel is about average for hotels on the strip,we stayed on the 16th floor, during the 5 nights we stayed there were constantly doors slamming, women screaming two nights, people yelling and running down the hall, but the bed was comfortable and the hotel room was clean, the pool closed at 8pm which was too early,it was an expensive hotel with a $40 a night resort fee,no amenities and super expensive restaurants,I will stay off the strip next visit

Bait and switch beds

The hotel is exactly how I remembered it 20 years ago - nice, family oriented, overall pretty. But I have three complaints. 1) king rooms and beds are actually queens. When I questioned the front desk because I thought there had been a mistake in my room assignment, I was told that that's just what they call them - kin. Even the sheets in the display case were queen sheets. 2) my room had mismatched curtains that left a sliver of light to blind us in the morning. 3) security doesn't roam the halls regularly. There were five people in their clubbing clothes sleeping in the hall on a Sunday morning.

My 8 year old daughter says this place is "heaven on earth!"

What's not to love ... First, the pool. The entire pool is 3.5 feet deep so any 8 year old can walk and swim in it all day (and we did for several hours every day). Nice waterfalls and plenty of lifeguards. Second, the Secret Garden. It's next to the pool. If you are staying at the hotel, I recommend the annual pass. It's inexpensive and you can go as many times as you like. We spent the extra money for painting with the dolphins and the joy was worth it! There is also a "dolphin encounter" which is not advertised but you can touch and pose for a picture with a dolphin. It was ocean day during our trip and the trainers and educators had some fun activities. Other packages are available (yoga with the dolphins and trainer for a day) must be 18. You can also view white lions, tigers and a few other cats. Feeding time is around 5 or 6 --- you can see more movement. Third, Blizz next to the pool. So start the day with kids chocolate chip pancakes ($8 at Pantry Kitchen if you order and pick up downstairs), swim all day, pet dolphins, visit lions and tigers, eat froyo and end the day with a Nectar bubble bath or bath bomb. The service at the hotel was very good. Oh, and the casino is still nice with a good sized poker room, California Pizza Kitchen and a few upscale restaurants.

Overall a good hotel

Stayed at the Mirage for EDC weekend. Hotel check in was pretty quick since I opted for mobile check in, so I was able to check in via my phone prior to arrival then pick up my room keys at the express check in desk. The hotel casino is typical of an older Vegas style but not too old. The rooms themselves were good. The decor appeared updated within the last 5 years but the bathroom was kind of cramped. The only con with this hotel is that the only fridge they had in the room was specifically for their mini bar drinks and you can not store food of your own. If you do need a fridge they charge $25.00 a night.
