Venetian Resort Hotel Casino
- What's Included
When booking this hotel I was given the option of paying more for a "strip" view. Upon entering the room I realized that I was surrounded by walls of concrete. A view of other buildings all around. I asked the front desk to be moved to a room with a strip view and was told that "none of the rooms had a great strip view" and that my view of "the strip" aka other buildings was the best they had. I then asked for them to downgrade me since I really was not getting the strip view (since none of the rooms really have them) I was told that the "System" would not allow them to do so. I have included a picture of "the strip" view which clearly needs a new name- like "false advertising"
we stayed 4 nights in October and having read a lot of reviews I was determined not to believe the hype.after driving all day through death valley we arrived at the venetian at night into the valet parking front entrance, straight away porters and drivers where there ready for you to whisk your bags up to your room and take your car to be parked. so far so good.walked into the entrance and wow beautiful ceilings and a very fast check in. we stayed on the 29th floor so a walk through the casino to reach to suites and a security guard at the entrance so only suite card holders were allowed entrance which was a nice secure welcome.suites were great and spacious although no fridge for your own water or snacks but a mini bar stocked full was available. lovely large bathroom which felt so special and couldn't wait to use.when we went to explore the famous st marks square and the gondolas as well as restaurants we did get a little lost as lots of allys and floors but as you actually start to feel like your in venice it doesn't annoy you at all- I am sure it's a great planning ploy to make you stay.the casino was great and so very busy all day but especially at night so sometimes difficult to have a go on a machine if you so wish.I cannot wait to come back to the venetian for another stay as 4 days was just not enough we didn't even scratch the surface of what vegas has to offer.great for our needs and even better to have comfortable couch and arm chairs to sit on when getting back to the room to relax on for few minutes before going off to explore again
The only word to describe Vegas is WOW!! and this hotel certainly falls into the same category. We arrived around 2pm and checked in with minimal wait and fuss. I accepted the upgrade to the Piazza room (hey its Vegas) for $112 extra per night as i was an IHG card holder(she told me it should have been $300 per night extra) and what a room it was. It was on the 32 floor overlooking the strip (although don't expect a view right down the strip as it is set to one side). Room (or i should say suite) was massive with a dining area, office area, living area, bedroom and bathroom with a big Jacuzzi bath. There was also an additional toilet room by the entrance to the suite. There was a mini bar and an additional fridge but the only thing that was missing was a kettle, possibly because there are numerous coffee stores around the hotel were they can make extra money from you. Bed was really comfortable and everything was kept clean and tidy every day. We spent the rest of the day walking around the hotel complex which is vast with Sistine chapel style painted ceilings and sky painted ceilings simulating outdoor areas at the canal and Square. Casino also vast as you would expect in Vegas and not a smokey atmosphere despite smoking being allowed in here. Check out was fuss free although they had already charged my extras to my credit card i asked to pay in cash (spend my winnings). All in all a wonderful experience for my first time in Vegas and one i will remember for a long time.
I just returned from a three-night stay at The Venetian for a conference. Check-in was faster than expected given the large number of people checking in and out. My room was huge and had a separate sitting area with a couch and desk. The bathroom was large and included a giant tub. The hotel offers smoking and non-smoking rooms. The room was clean and I was thrilled that it did not stink of carpet freshener as many non-smoking rooms do. The hotel is located right on the strip and has a huge selection of restaurants to choose from. Thomas Keller's Bourchon is located on the 10th floor and there are several Bouchon bakeries throughout for delicious, French pastries for breakfast. For those wanting to grab and go there are several JuiceFarms as well as a Coffee bean and Tealeaf. Restaurant options run the gamut from Italian to American to French. I had a great dinner at DB Brasserie and lunch at Bouchon. The Venetian Canal shops offer a wide range of retail offerings ranging from Burberry to Barney's New York to 7 for all Mankind. What's best about the shops is the shopping experience as you wander along cobblestones with an illuminated and painted ceiling and architecture that's designed to create an experience similar to shopping in Venice. There is a canal with gondolas on the second floor of the hotel! It's pretty hard to fathom, but amazing to view or experience. On any given day you might come across an opera or mime performance along the way. It's a unique shopping experience unlike any other, and there are lots of great dining options along the way.I didn't gamble, but the casino seemed to offer everything a gambler would want.
This hotel has an amazing decor that looks like a palace. Everywhere you look there is something that makes you think you are in Italy so amazing. I stayed for 4 nights I was attending IMEX an expo and it as definately an good choice as the Sands Expo is right next to the hotel, no long walking distance or taxis were needed. The room was very spacious, always clean and confortable, a lot of lighting. The bathroom spacious as well, loved all mirrors, and as a woman you cannot go wrong with a lot of them. I called like 4 times to the operator to request some items and they were so helpful and fast to assist. My only complain will be that there was not enough electrical outlets on the wright places in the room and that my floor was very low and the view was not good as it was just to the back of the buildings. At the hotel you have so many options that you do not need to go out, but of course you are in Vegas so much to see everywhere. But here there tons of stores and places to eat. I absolutely recommend this hotel and would comeback!!
