Every year is just GREAT!!

We had an ocean view room this year and it was absolutely great. As usual the staff was friendly and helpful and that room was very nice. A full kitchen and 2 bathrooms were a plus and we enjoyed the spectacular sunrises every morning. I am an ardent air conditioning person, but the lack of it at Kaha Lani is not a problem. The multiple louvered windows, the ocean breeze and the ceiling fans were very adequate to keep us cool. It is a short walk on the path along the waterfront to what we consider the best and safest beach on Kauai at Lydgate Park. There are two sheltered pools there, one is very shallow and is great for small children, and the other is larger and somewhat deeper pool that everyone will enjoy, and the fish can be seen easily. Both pools are protected by a large rock jetty that breaks up the waves and makes it easy and safe for all. There are lifeguards on duty as well. The pool at Kaha Lani is nice and was used every day. Just another time in paradise.

Poor Customer Service

First off, we arrived at 9pm after a 15 hour flight and the front desk was closed. Had to call security to let us in. Once that happened, I knew we were going to be off to a bad start with this place. What crappy customer service from the start. After staying only 1 night, yes only 1 night, was charged an additional $62 for extra fees such as housekeeping fees. Since when does it cost that much to clean a room after 1 use? When I paid in full on tripadvior, I had no idea I was going to be paying additional money when I checked out. That was absolutely ridiculous. You think you are getting a great deal but READ THE FINE PRINT because YOU ARE NOT! What started off only costing a little over $100, ended up costing over $200. DO NOT book with this property.

Kaha Lani

We stayed in Unit# 327 and it was perfect! Very spacious, one bedroom and two bath condo with an oceanfront view. The view was spectacular!! We had a full kitchen with every available cooking utensil known to mankind. I would highly recommend Kaha Lani Resort and will stay there again if we travel to Kauai in the future.

Nice place to stay

We had 2 bedrooms, spacious living room, full kitchen and balcony overlooking ocean and swimming pool. There is gas grill by the pool you can use (we did). Between Kaha Lani and ocean shore they have nice paved walk path connecting several beaches. In November winds and high serf is usual, but at least one beach has place protected from waves. Building and surroundings are very nice. Airport and stores are nearby. One note about TripAdvisor total price: when we arrived we paid ~$60 more than total TripAdviser promised, they told us it's taxes and cleaning fees.

We stayed here for 5 days, in late November. The location is good, you are sort of in the middle of everything as far as driving. The unit we were in (120) was well stocked, mostly in the kitchen. The bedroom was good not great. There was no over head light controlled by a wall switch. You had to walk into the room and turn on one of the lamps. The guest bathroom had a fan light combo switch, it would have been nice to have the option to have only the light on. The master bathroom did not have a fan at all, but it did have windows with luvers. The shower drain was alarmingly slow, but should be an easy fix. The bed was comfortable. The beach outside is wild. By that I mean that you will most likely get hurt if you try to swim there. But it is beautiful. Make sure you hold on to your keys. They gave us 2, and when we went to check out we could not find one. So we asked if there would be a fee an there was.... $125!! for one stinking key! We went through our luggage and found it in less than 5 mins, thank you Jesus! It is true there is no AC, but we did not need it. The ocean wind along with the ceiling fans and windows with luvers, kept us comfortable while sleeping. Washer and dryer are $1.50 each and you can buy detergent at the front desk for a buck. The washer takes 25 mins if I remember correctly and the dryer 60 mins. The picture is of the sunrise from our living room. Lastly the WiFi. It seems awesome and has very fast speeds, but it was hit or miss. You would be connected and it would not work at all sometimes... I did a hard reset on the modem/router and it was the same after. It worked about 80% of the time. Overall we enjoyed our stay here. Hope you do too!
