Koloa Landing Resort
- What's Included
This resort exceeded expectations in every way, and will be even more incredible once construction is complete. Our 2-bedroom/2.5 bath suite was so spacious and beautifully furnished with large, fully equipped kitchen, with "hidden" appliances and plenty of plates, glassware and silverware to serve 8 or more. The ensuite washer & dryer were a real bonus. All the amenities of a full-service resort, with the extreme comfort of large suites. Full spa with great treatments although no extra amenities like Jacuzzi or sauna; activities concierge desk, enterprise rental car desk. There's no full service dining room, but with the buffet breakfast, lobby bar and marketplace for coffee, light meal, supplies and pool service, and with great restaurants, Longs (Hawaii's CVS plus) and boutiques less than a 5 minute walk away, we didn't miss having a dining room. Entire staff was so friendly and professional. 3 minute walk to the water for sunsets; 10 minute walk to the Sheraton for the beach. The pools were gorgeous with "lava" rock sides and "freeform" shapes. We especially loved the quiet (supposedly adult only) tranquility pool with waterfalls. Both pools had Jacuzzis and gas grills. This truly was the vacation spot we were seeking.
Wonderful stay in Kaui, great location and staff. Our stay included car rental / breakfast. Note that the car offered is not adequate ( the car was different than shown in the rezervation picture) for travelling around for the rough roads and we had to pay extra for the upgrage min 50 usd per day. Breakfast was far below any standards hence we skipped it for most of the Stay.Price for 2 bedroom apartment was pretty expensive 500 per night and we expected more services for this price.
After being placed in an unhealthy condo, we moved to Koloa Landing. The front desk staff, Jay, could not have been more helpful along with the young man who carried and delivered all of our luggage. The two bedroom condo was beautiful and clean.
Great hotel, particularly for families. The lagoon pool was a huge hit with our children. The mini-golf, volleyball and soccer pitch were also very popular. Fantastic to have the kitchenette and washer/dryer in our room. Only minor issue was the unsightly construction works going on .. however, the hotel did a pretty good job at keeping this separated off, and we never really heard any construction noise from where we were staying.
Recognize this for what it is: a luxury condo -- not a hotel this means: no room service, specific cleaning schedules, minimal food services. Given that, it is outstanding. Setting is beautiful, rooms are beautifully decorated and appointed, (gorgeous kitchens--no supplies, just utensils) once the massive pool complex is completed it promises to be incredible. (Unfortunately, we looked out on a scarred earth of construction.) Blisteringly fast free internet. While the resort doesn't sit on a swimming beach it does have easy access to several and is close enough to walk to the Sheraton. Staff was helpful and accommodating -- we had a red-eye flight and though we had to check out of our room (it was booked), they accommodated us reasonably in a day room. Easy decision to return here should we ever visit Kauai again.
