Koloa Landing Resort
- What's Included
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to spend our first trip to Kauai! Koloa landing far exceeded our expectations. The resort was beautiful, our room was great, the bed was comfy, the pool was nice and clean(our daughter had a great time in it), and the staff was excellent. Chris, the bartender, makes the best drinks, especially pina coladas! This resort was awesome! We will definitely be returning, and referring our family and friends!
What a wonderful stay at this beautiful resort!I knew from previous Trip Advisor reviews and the hotel website to expect construction in progress. I realize that's the reason we were able to book at such a substantial discount. As I expected, our room was located near the worksite, but we didn't hear any construction noise. In fact, we were were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a tastefully furnished, spacious 1,000 sq. ft. one bedroom villa with a full kitchen. We were at the end of a long vacation so really appreciated the washer and dryer in the room.I don't think that the photos convey just how expansive this resort is. The grounds are beautiful, with 2 very nice pools. The spectacular third pool was almost finished when we stayed February 12-16. It will feature at least one water slide, an infinity pool and a "river", among other features - a virtual kid's paradise (and nice for adults, as well.)Finally, the service throughout was excellent. Jay at the front desk took especially good care of us.We would definitely recommend Koloa Landing and are already planning our next visit to this beautiful resort on this beautiful island!
This was our first trip to Kauai and the Koloa Landing Resort was certainly part of a very positive experience for us. Our room was equipped with a well equipped kitchenette and the entire room was immacculate regarding cleanliness. Still lots of construction going on, but we found it to be not a problem regarding access to the other areas of the resort and any associated noise was limited to daytime hours. Its a short walk to the beach and is convenient to several other large resorts, shopping areas, and restaurants. Our only major complaint was our "ocean view" room which we payed a premium for. It was a partial view only; upon the initial reservation request we had made several months prior, we were told that we would "more than likely" get a top floor room because we requested an ocean view room. We ended up with a second floor room (bldg had four floors) which resulted in our opinion, a partial ocean view. We verified with the service manager that this was classified as an "ocean view room". Would definitely return, just would be a little smarter about the room we would be getting and ask more questions.
the entire staff and the buildings, grounds and interior are top notch, There isn';t a better place to stay in Poipu; Beautiful grounds, spacious villas, delightful staff, clean, new, top quality. And the roosters are almost all gone!
After missing our original last leg of flights on a long day of travel we were surprised by a lei welcome that was warm and friendly and a room upgrade that was awesome, a wonderful ending to a stressful day. The room was amazing with a full kitchen, dining area, living room, pantry, many closets, huge bathroom with double shower, big bath tub, and 2 vanities. The lenai was very large with table and chairs, lounge chair, and other chair and foot stool. We loved the view of the ocean, beach, and beautiful landscaping of the property with all the plants, flowers, and palm trees. We had many meals with that as the backdrop. Even if it was raining, we were dry under the roof and could still enjoy being outdoors. We were able to get answers to our questions on the phone or at the main desk. The store had many amenities as well as some cooked food items and the lobby looked out to the ocean. It was beautiful everywhere. There was still some construction going on that will make it even better when we come back again but enjoyed the parts that were already done and watched the progress of the additions. We can't say enough about our stay at Koloa Landing. It made our vacation better than we ever imagined. Everyone we had contact with was friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our visit the best it could be. Providing the rental car was an extra plus that made the price an even better bargain and the transition after landing very quick and easy.
