Stayed here Oct 8-13. Beautiful grounds, right on Poipu beach. However our condo Was #436 which was just off Poipu Rd, near east entrance. Condowas a bit dated, but very comfortable for 2. No beach view, was walking distance to shops and athletic club. I would stay here again, but would try to get closer to beach.
My son got married in the gardens and everything was beautiful from the outdoor garden to the open verandah for the reception. Food was best we had on the entire island, staff was helpful and an amazing experience from start to ending. Look no further for a destination wedding experience.
The resort was huge and overall very nice. Our unit was a "royal garden view" but there wasn't any thing special about it. Our view was a huge tree and we couldn't see past it. We had a 1 bedroom (2 adults and 2 kids (9 & 7)). The unit was clean, the kitchen was updated. The pull out sofa was horrible but thank goodness the kids had it. You can hear everything from your unit. The windows don't have glass on them just screens and wooden slats or shutters that open and close, so needless to say you could hear everything around you. We were in a building close to the main road so we heard lots of traffic noise. And be prepared that the roosters cock-a-doodle-do all hours of the night and morning. The whole no A/C thing had me concerned, we're from AZ so A/C is a must for us. At night there was a breeze (we had the top floor -2nd) and if you have all the shutters open and sliding door open it helped keep it cool while we slept (but then then you heard EVERYTHING). During the day I will say it sucked. Coming back to the unit from a long hot day at the beach was not relaxing. The unit was hot, humid and stale. There wasn't any cooling off. The unit did have fans so that helped a little. Having a kitchen is the way to go. We shopped at Walmart and Costco and saved money not having to eat out all the time. Pool- having 2 kids it made going to the pool a hassle, you can drive or walk either is a pain. The pool is across the street (they do have a cross walk) but then it's up a hill. The pool was ok. Water looked dirty. They had a fake beach area and a water slide for the kids. We only did the pool once. Bar menu sucked and expensive.Beach- the beach is beautiful! Seeing we were in a way back building its about a 0.1ml walk. But I'm grateful the property had a beach. The beach area isn't the biggest but with free beach towels and chairs you can't go wrong. The water is a bit choppy so not the best for kid snorkels.I got a great package deal for the 2 of us so in the end this place is great for what we paid. I would stay again but try for an ocean view unit closer to the beach. The cleaning of $140 was a bit much, depending on the length of stay the change only your bath towels once. If you want sheets, towels changed and vacuumed it's extra. They have a whole up charge list you get at check in.Having a small shopping center with restaurants across the street was a bonus. They also have free entertainment Thursday nights.
Stayed in 205. Great Unit with awesome kitchen and new appliances, families will love this so they can save money by not having to go to a restaurant for every meal. Felt like we were in a clean new home. The front desk staff was very quick and helpful, checking in and checking out was a breeze. Grounds were peaceful and very well kept with a great orchid garden outside our unit.
My husband and I came here to Celebrate our 25 th Anniversary . This resort was great. The Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Grounds are beautiful . We upgraded our room to Oceanfront Bungalow well worth the money ! We are already planning a trip to come back
