Sunset on the terrace is a must!

The view is absolutely breathtaking and the setting is fun. Be there for the nightly saber ceremony and sunset. Recommend this for your 1st night in Princeville to set the tone. You can get the view from the cliff as well but it's super pretty from the hotel. The sushi and cocktails were in point as well.

All I Can Say is WOW !!!

Four days was not enough to be at this absolutely spectacular property. The hotel is set on a bluff overlooking Hanalei with outrageous mountain views. The restaurants are wonderful. The service is as good as you can get with a staff that is not only pleasant but, happy to help. Having over 800 hotel nights I can definitely attest to this being in my top 5 hotels in North America and Europe. You will not be disappointed. We were upgraded to a suite with butler service and each staff member was better than the next. The manager Chris was outstanding as well as his front desk staff. There is not one negative in this property even down to the valet parking or pool staff. We also cannot thank them enough for helping make this a special anniversary for my wife and I.

Gorgeous setting but weather dependent

We stayed here in mid October and got lucky with a nice suite upgrade. The room was spacious with an amazing view. Staff were uniformly professional and helpful, though we were a bit confused by the butler service included. Valet parking is mandatory but not outrageously expensive per day (about $20) and a nice perk after a long day driving. The gym is fairly routine and would have been better if it had more window views. The buffet breakfast was also fairly routine, I had hoped for something a bit more original. We tried the fine dining room (Kauai Grill) and were surprised at how much we enjoyed the tasting menu. Ask the waiters for dish descriptions as they tend to not volunteer any information, but are quite helpful when asked. We stayed on the 9th floor, so the pool ended up being quite a difficult to get to (needed to take 2 different elevators). Overall we were very happy and would recommend it as a nice, relaxing and romantic get away.

"Exceptional Life changing experience"

After the death of my father and my Mother's long term illness, I was finally blessed to publish my very first of a trilogy of books. I had landed some connections to venture off to Kauai to host several book signing events. I decided I would bring my family for a long awaited time of restoration and healing while I "worked" and I could not believe what a place of serenity my family was welcomed into . The doorman, the bellman, and the entire staff was absolutely "top of the line". I was brought to tears as we were greeted by "Sean" at the front desk reception. What a priceless treasure of excellence and genuine heartfelt "Aloha" he was from the moment we begin the check in process to the very end of our stay. The consitant communication of our room status , to a personal presentation of a pikake lei given to my mother to the "Aloha" that was extended daily to my sisters I am overwhelmed with his heart and love for the guests at St Regis and for his entire place of employment. He is to be commended for being the epitamy of "ALOHA" in it's highest form. Thankyou St Regis for your enitre staff. I have never been more proud of all that you represent on our island of Hawaii to the many people who call Hawaii "Home" and those who come back year after year or for the very first time!

Better than last time.

We visited St. Regis two years ago and weren't overly impressed. They have made some cosmetic improvements that helped. I would mark this excellent but the service pool side was slow to nonexistent. I believe the problem to be under-staffing as the staff we had were polite and trying their best. I would recommend this hotel if for nothing else for the spectacular view of Hanalei Bay. The sunsets are awesome and the beach is great.
