Hilton LAX

With the exception of finding the hotel because of construction, it was a perfect stay prior to an early morning flight. Room was comfortable and beautiful and the rate was a good value. I was worried seeing the crowd waiting for the airport shuttle but the bus was large and all were accomidated.

Totally a rip off! I stayed here for a little over $200 for LESS than 6 hours. My flight canceled and my only option was to leave the next morning at 8am. I previously booked the hotel 1/2 hours before arriving with their hotel reservation specialist with a quoted price and a confirmation (I was on the road with no wifi and a low battery phone pulling into a Donut Shop was my only option to try to book a hotel using siri). I got to the hotel and the price was $110 dollars higher than what I booked on the phone! The front desk told me I was basically out of luck and to call the reservation office back for them to fix it. I call to the reservation office and they tell me "Sorry, what you were quoted at the front desk is the price now, we can't do anything about it only our front desk can change it." I told each the front desk and the reservation specialist that all they BOTH were doing was having me go back and forth to one another. This took a total time of literally an hour and a half! I then called back to the reservation office and acted like I was a new person to book the same type of reservation-PROBLEM solved on my end! When I get to my room, which was the King Suite, it was HORRIBLE! Very dusty, very old (phone, light switches, tub, chair, floor, walls etc.) smelled old, yellow stains on bed, black moldy looking tub...I didn't even unpack, I went downstairs to request a new room. They apologized and told me all the rooms looked old bc they are an old hotel. You would think with lobby looking as nice as it does that the rooms would be up to par. They switched me to a room on the 15th floor which they said was better and it was the EXACT same thing, except for the stains on the bed. My flight was early and all I wanted to do was go home. Money wasted down the drain on this hotel AND on top of it all there was an ADDITIONAL charge on my credit card that was NOT on my receipt. AVIOD THIS PLACE!!!!

Executive level (Tower) a must

In town for a concert at the Forum, this hotel is within 5 miles and close to the Los Angeles airport. Our check in with Antiono was fast and easy. We stayed on the 17th floor. Note the 15, 16 and 17th floors are considered the Executive Tower (floors)The Executive Tower Lounge is located on the 16th Floor it's hosts a Continental Breakfast from 6am to 10am with many great pastry, cereal and fruit choices, eggs, potatoes, and fresh ground coffee, lattes, or cappuccino. Evening reception is from 5:30 to 7pm, we had the choice of pasta, meatballs, fruit, cheese, pastries and desserts. There is a small bar, for wine, beer and some spirits. Dessert is served from 7pm to 9pm, also great choices. A great view of the airport run ways to keep you entertained, and a large screen TV. Yes the cost for this is more, but in my opinion well worth it, or become a Hilton Honors Member for an even better rate. Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Great for large groups, a weekend getaway or a stay vacation.

Utterly Useless Staff

Had to check in at 2am due to a cancelled flight. The fact I was checking in on the same day as I was leaving seemed to totally confuse the numerous staff who dealt with me. In addition, hotel could not even provide a receipt for me as I didn't appear in the 'system' so as far as some of the staff appeared to be concerned I was effectively imagining I'd stayed in the hotel (vs the what would seem the uncomprehendable option that the computer system was just wrong). When it eventually dawned on them what was wrong they then entered my HH number wrong meaning some random stranger for my points as well as probably a load of my personal information when they emailed the efolio. Utterly terrible experience all at the hands of awful staff. Stay elsewhere!

Internet and cell phone service still bad

Still has issues with no internet service downstairs and only ATT and sometimes Sprint will get cell phone service. If you have verizon you are out of luck. This has been reported by several people prior to this stay.
