Firstly I want to say that if I was judging this hotel purely on standard it would of been 4 or more. However I have to rate my experience here. We spent our honeymoon in California when we arrived into L.A. we had been on the road from Monterey all day and it was aprox 9pm. The guy on hotel reception was not even slightly welcoming. He told us our hotel room we had booked had been cancelled after they'd attempted to take payment for the first night prior to our arrival and it had been declined. However I had instantly revived a text that told me this and I immediately updated credit card details and got an email telling me they expected us. The staff member was so unhelpful clearly felt we were to blame and then proceeded to tell us the only room we could have meant we were in a twin room (on our honeymoon) no apology just a condescending tone that implied he felt we were 'lucky' they could fit us in!!! No other hotels we stayed in tried to take payment prior to arrival so we hadn't expected these issues!! On top of that we'd been under the impression parking was free when booking to be told they'd changed policy and now it was $34 per night! Not a nice end to our lovely time in California I'll never return to LA! Especially not this hotel!
The hotel was very nice, clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Price for the room was very reasonable for Los Angeles. The one drawback is the traffic noise due to being right next to the freeway. The first night we didn't sleep because of the traffic noise. The staff was helpful and moved up to the other side of the hotel for the second night and it was much quieter.
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was small but modern, clean, and comfortable. Daily Wine Hour in the lobby was a nice treat. The only two negative things I would note are that first, there is not much around the hotel. You can’t just go for a walk to find restaurants or shopping or anything like that. It’s also a touch loud with it being right on the freeway. But other than that, our stay was good. We would stay again.
After not being out of Britain for 17 years and never been out the country together in almost 16 years together my partner and I decided to have a once in a lifetime holiday. This hotel was awesome. The staff are friendly and can't do enough for you and the rooms were so lovely I didn't want to leave. The hotel as a whole is beautiful. Can be a little noisy due to traffic in rush hour but it certainly does not stop you from getting a great night sleep. The beds are like big pillows and the rooftop restaraunt has amazing views, not to mention their breakfast. If that is anything to go by their dinner must be awesome also. My favourite meal of our trip, just a pitty we didn't have time for more meals there. I highly recommend this hotel. I really hope to visit again someday.
Convenient located close to the main areas of LA is a nice hotel with all the basic that will make your stay pleasant. However, our room was on the 6th floor facing the freeway and the noise was horrible especially in the night. So ask to be located on higher floor facing Santa Monica. Also the lack of blind curtains is something that the hotel should look at it. The breakfast served on the highest floor offering panoramic views of LA. It is a la carte with fair choices but we find a little bit expensive. Friendly staff , they can even help you with uber and charge it to your room. However, make sure that they will not call the most expensive option.
