The Waterfront Beach Resort A Hilton Hotel
- What's Included
My wife and I decided to do an "us only" Thanksgiving trip to Huntington Beach to get away from the San Francisco Bay Area and enjoy some beach time in Southern California. My wife had never been in the LA area so she was really looking forward to the trip and I was equally excited as I really like the area as well. The hotel was everything you expect a Hilton to be - clean, comfortable, inviting. We were informed ahead of time that the lobby was having renovations but we wouldn't have noticed if they hadn't told us because of the well thought out system and signage in place. The Shades restaurant & bar we found to be quite good and had a couple meals there despite the wide selection of restaurants in the area. The pool must be heated because it wan an extremely comfortable temperature despite the chill in the air. From our 5th floor room we had an ocean view but if you request an even & high numbered room you'll have a better view. A comfortable walking distance to the Huntington Pier & shopping area you could easily do a visit here without a car & considering $30/day parking it would save you some money as well. Everyone was extremely kind & helpful - we will most certainly be back!
What a FANTASTIC group of accommodating people. No matter if I am in town for business or visiting family, this hotel is EXCELLENT when it comes to serving their clients. They have a system that allows every person to know what is going on so you don't feel like you have a disconnect in needs or service. Lots of annoying construction...but it didn't bother me a bit. The service was so excellent It far out weighed the minimal construction issues.
Thank you Hailey Nelson, Front Desk, for the special birthday wish and gift! My husband and I had just travelled 5 hours in the rain and I was greeted by Hailey who was welcoming with a big smile. We arrived way before check in time but she found a room that was ready and got us all checked in. We stepped out for lunch and came back to a bottle of champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries and a hand written birthday card! Thank you Hilton for always making me feel like family. While this was a pleasure stay I have stayed over 125 nights with Hilton this year and consistently have a good experience.
Debated where to go over the holiday week. Considered Hawaii but have to say so glad we chose to go to CA. Loved this hotel- the service - location and our room. Dogs were welcome- they were able to go almost everywhere we went. Great food options all in walking distance. Human and dog beach were perfect!
The valet was super welcoming and Danica at the front desk was the sweetest to our puppies as were housekeeping and in room dining. This hotel really likes the pets! And the rooms are extra clean and do not smell like hundreds of pets have been hanging out!Room service was timely, tasty and hot AND delivered with a smile. We asked for a room to see the pier side of the hotel and it was very pretty. It was at an angle so we couldn't see the water unless we were out on the balcony, but that was clear to us at the time of reservation "partial view." THE other side of hotel is undergoing construction so the view is of the crane and construction mostly.I grew up in HB and this hotel totally works with the city vibe. It is chill without being slacker! My 16 year old son thought room service was great and fries cooked to perfection.hah!
