Great location right on the beach. Well manicured grounds and nice pools. The staff was super pleasant and helpful. Rooms are a bit dated but we didn't spend much time there anyway ;) Definitely recommend this place whether it's for a couples get away or a family vacation.
Love this hotel..We had room 453 with a loft room.Seven of us all adults and we had plenty of space for al of us.Great location with two pools on site restaurant and own beach.Near some really good restaurants and local shops near by for groceries and all you could want for the beach etc.All staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay her again....
the hotel is very nice and the service is excellent! I had a great experience in Maui and it's like any other hotel friendly and clean.Ful kitchen including pots, pans, dishes etc. you can get groceries accross the street. We cooked breakfast alll week and rememver to pick up salt/pepper. try to get small mayo and stuff if you're not staying long. laundry soap is provided the first day and after that we bougt a little bottle downstairs at the gift shop. I suggest you stop at walmart on the way from the airport. Walmart is very close to the airport. The prices might be cheaper depending on how much you will cook. We went out for lunch and dinners (subway is accross the street too) The La la hawaiin restaurant accross the street is good! the food is great and good portion size.
Great resort to stay at. Have stayed here quite a few times. Try to ask for an updated unit. We were in 9th floor with a great view. Love this location. Has some restaurants and a grocery store in walking distance. Good snorkeling beach when the wind is calm. Kids saw many fish when snorkeling but no turtles. The restaurant serves pretty decent food at reasonable prices. If you book thru Costco you get some extra perks. We will be back again.
Overall, this is a fine property. It's airy, with hardly a door to have to walk through from the outside. The grounds are luxuriously tropical, with lush vegetation throughout, a cove-like pool and a more conventional pool, and a clear back wall leading out to the ocean, which rolls in only yards away. Birds roost by the cove pool in the evening, providing a symphony of song as the tiki torches are lit and the sun sets over the sea.The rooms are fairly conventional. Nice to have the extra space of a living/dining area and a full kitchen. Large balcony for lounging, with a view of the cove pool and ocean beyond. The poolside beach club restaurant is nice - good food, friendly and accommodating service. We ate dinner there twice. Not only was it convenient when we didn't feel like researching or driving, but it was surprisingly reasonable for being onsite. There is a wonderful, free, poolside hula performance in the evening (once/week?). It's a small stage with a small instrumental ensemble and just one or two dancers per song, but I loved it because it seemed authentic and not flashy. My room was situated such that, since the living room/balcony were in back, facing the pool/ocean, the bedroom was in front, meaning just inside the door, along the outside wall to the corridor. Be sure and ask for a room far from the elevator if you are bothered about people returning late at night, ebullient from their evening out. Of course, if you are one of those people, you won't be woken up, and then being close to the elevator is an advantage!I also had people talking on their cell phones late at night (11pm or later), right outside the room, presumably because they were leaning on the railing overlooking the parking lot (such a beautiful view). But I guess that could happen anywhere in the hotel since there are no inside hallways. The staff overall is nice. People say "Aloha" to you. (Not sure if that is a staff procedure for tourists, but it seemed natural.) The front desk people didn't seem terribly happy to be there, but they were not resistant to helping. It's conveniently located, once you figure out that the road sign for Lower Honoapiilani Road actually has a different name and you remember to turn there. There's a strip mall directly across the street, including some casual fast food spots (not mainland chains) and a large grocery store. Snorkel Bob's is also there, where we rented snorkel gear twice.I guess I'd stay at this place again, though I found it strangely underwhelming, given the beautiful grounds. I think it's because the staff aren't particularly friendly and the rooms are just average (though clean and in fine condition). Probably at these sky-high prices you could find a nicer place.
