A reward trip for our best customers

Can in on a Friday late front desk was fast and friendly. The whole staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Room need a refresh, but they are big and very clean. The breakfast buffet is very good.

Maui honeymoon

Many reviews have discussed the outdated rooms and they are right! They are also dirty! I begged for a room that had been updated and I was moved to another room that was even dirtier! Black mold on shower curtain to think dust on AC vents were just a few. For $500 a night I promise you can do much better ! Try the Westin down the beach !

A great resort and great people

Reading previous reviews prior to booking my vacation I did not know what I was walking in to. I take these with a grain a salt since some people can complain about the smallest details. This hotel by far was one of the nicest places I have stayed at. From the instant I drove up the valet people were attentive and informative. Granted 30+ dollars for valet service might seem like a lot but its vacation and Maui and that's what it is. The check-in process was simple and both myself and my daughter were given Hawaiian Leis. Nice touch! The rooms were big and nice for a older hotel and I am not going to complain about them since this is not a Four Seasons. I got a Ocean view and that is what they gave me. A beautiful site when I walked out on the balcony or leave the doors open at night to hear the waves crash. The grounds are unreal and are always being cared for by the staff. The pools are amazing and the people at the bars and restaurants were on top of their game. They made my vacation one to remember. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Maui. I would say don't read to much into the reviews of people saying the rooms are old and outdated. The rooms are great and besides, do we spend all day in them or just a place to lay your head at night. As for how expensive everything is from the food to drinks all I can say is this is Hawaii. If you want something different go to the Caribbean and book a all-inclusive. It does cost a lot to vacation here so save up before you come

Great place for a staycation

My granddaughter was scheduled to dance hula at the hotel the weekend of our stay and we were not disappointed. Our room had a nice lanai over looking the construction of the new pool. The room was large enough for my wife and I and then our two granddaughters who spent the night. The restaurants on the property were decent and reasonably priced. The only draw back was the rain, but all in all a great stay.

Beautiful But.....

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Maui. The pool is fantastic, big enough to accommodate many and with a tunnel through a Grotto bar to the kids pool. The resort is stunning right on the beach. We upgraded to an ocean view and it was worth every cent. The rooms are spacious and clean and well kept. Onsite there is a myriad of shops, even a little Macys and stores where you can get a good coffee and something for breakfast if you didn't want anything to big. There is a shuttle every hour or so into Front street Lahaina. The beach walk, a paved promenade along the beach where you can walk a couple of miles past all the other resorts is special. There is a fantastic gym and free classes like yoga, Pilates and even Barre which is very unusual in a resort. Whalers shopping centre with 90 stores is a 10 minute stroll down the promenade. Our stay was wonderful. Here comes the but. I wasn't asked if I wished to self park my car and subsequently paid $28 per day which was pricey. I would have been happy to do it i am still fit enough. Finally, the constant harassment by timeshare and apartment sellers was hideous. Maybe they should hand out badges that say leave me alone or just NO!
