Hyatt Regency Maui
- What's Included
Stayed at this hotel for a few nights while we were in Maui and love it. The kids enjoyed the pools and I love it that they have one of the best shave ice stores on site. The people who worked at the hotel was friendly and the rooms were clean. The only con was that self parking was several minutes walk away from our room, wish it was closer.Overall, we would pick this hotel again when we come to Maui next time.
At the arrival check in staff was friendly. They gave us a lei made by shells and other made by flowers, my wife git all excited. Valet service is WONDERFUL and knowledgeable about the area. The bar food is good, has reasonable prices but they need more staff to attend tables around the bar. Cleanliness of the hotel is wonderful, has very confortable beds and excellent service.
Left feeling very disappointed after our honeymoon stay here. I sliced open my foot on glass which was on the floor in the room (that must have been dropped by a previous guest/cleaners) on the first day. Which meant I spent the next few days walking around limping. Told the staff at the front desk but they didn't seem phased. I thought they may have moved us into a different room but they didn't. I ended up cleaning up the glass myself. The one good thing about the hotel is the pool and the cave bar is cool (I gave it 1 star for that) Drinks and food are pricey, we always waited for happy hour which was 5-6pm (then they were $8 each a cocktail, normally they're double that)There's no entertainment at the hotel. You can book onto a luau but tickets are $130-$160 each. It was great fun but just very pricey. Opted to go outside of the hotel for dinner on one of the nights but everywhere was closing and deserted by 8pm.Also the hotel advertises 'honeymoon amenities' but we didn't see/receive anything to make our honeymoon special. Ideal hotel if you don't mind splashing out a lot on drinks/food and don't mind being in bed by 8/9pm but we wouldn't stay here again.
Very impressed with the Hyatt Maui. The grounds are beautiful! From the swans, to the pools, I can't say enough about the beauty of the property. I would like to highlight Jeff at the Front Desk who was engaging, hospitable and very gracious upon our arrival. Another wonderful service experience was with Janel at the Hyatt Residences Pool Dining. She was an exceptional server and truly embodies the Hawaiian spirit. Two areas of concern. All the parking lots filled up by 9 pm and parking was a major issue in this property. As a result of the spaces being very tight, most cars took up two spots. Valet was kind enough to park our car which was much appreciated. Another area that was over bearing was the Hyatt Residences Time Share marketing. They were very aggressive, especially in the pool area which is not what one wants to be subjected to while on vacation. I would certainly return to this hotel.
The best beach and pool front at your door!!! The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. My view was incredible. I highly recommend the star gazing tour. The concierge staff was super helpful. We got great food on location as well.
