Our wonderful Hawai’ian ohana !!

We are returning guests, as you can tell from the three white kukui nuts in our lei. This fourth visit is being as wonderful as the previous ones … or even more !!The o'okipa (hospitality) is one of the main features at Kaanapali Beach Hotel: every staff member we encounter each day is always smiling and so accomodating, many have gone out of their way to make our stay absolutely unique. The room (though a bit outdated) is sparkling clean; housekeeping is doing a wonderful job, this really feels like 'home away from home'.The grounds are very well cared for, with taro showcase and many other hawai’ian plants - as we have learnt during the 'garden tour'. They claim to be the most hawai’ian hotel. ...and it is true: we always like very much the hawai’ian activities, which are complimentary, for instance the 'lauhala weaving' and the Hula lessons. The breakfast experience has been enhanced with many hot dishes; dining at the Tiki Terrace is always very intriguing, for instance I had the lau lau plate, but there are also less adventurous plates, such as burgers and the like; THE nice touch is the free hula show presented every night, more than an hour of authentic hawai’ian chants and dances (THE real thing, not the Hollywood style performance you sometimes get at luaus). Big improvement vs our last stay was the free wifi connection, that once was restricted to common areas and now is very good in each room. Not to be missed the Kupanaha magic show and the on property LUAU: book your seats well in advance if you like (as we do) to be as close to the stage as possible. Every penny you spend on these shows is very well worth it. Can’t wait to be back to our ohana at KBH !! Thank you to everyone in the caring and kind staff!Very recommended

Lei Making Class!!

I took a Lei Making Class with my Aunt and we enjoyed it immensely! We learned how to make a Lei properly with beautiful orchids and tuberose blooms. They turned out so beautiful! I've always wanted to take the class and this was the only place I could find that offered it to their hotel guests as well as to the public. it was offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:30 am. We attended the Friday morning class and it was great!

Wonderful stay

Cannot fault the Kaanapali beach hotel we had a wonderful 6 days there. It might not be a 5 star resort but the place was clean, tidy and the staff were great. If they were going to do any upgrades to the hotel please organise some shaded area around the pool. That would be great. So thanks guys we totaly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

The friendliest most accommodating hotel We have ever stayed in

This trip was for our 50 th anniversary and the hotel was perfect. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The room (partial ocean view) on ground floor was large and very clean. The staff were very courteous and friendly and the pool was clean with lots of comfortable lounges. The beach is beautiful and the snorkeling at Black rock was terrific. The evening shows were both informative and entertaining especially the luau where the staff went out of their way with dessert (with happy 50th anniversary) in chocolate on the plate and front row seating. This capped an excellent meal of pork, beef, mahi mahi, chicken and veggies. When we arrived there was a bottle of champagne with goblets in our room. We felt like we were coming home to family steeped in tradition with conch shell horns, Lei making, learning hula and learning Hawaiian culture. This heads the top of our list for best holidays.
