We had the pleasure of staying at the Ka’anapali Beach Hotel for our first visit to the magical island of Maui. We were looking for an authentic Hawaiian experience and we got exactly what we were looking for. We took part in many of the classes offered by the hotel and took the time to get to know many of the employees. I don’t think they could have made us feel more at home. The beauty of Maui is found not only in the scenery but also in the people who call the island home. The hula shows each evening and authentic cuisine were amazing and the lei ceremony at the end of our visit made us all wish we were staying longer. Thank you to the employees of the Ka’anapali Beach Hotel for making our stay wonderful and sharing your aloha with us. We cannot wait to return and see all of you again. Mahalo!

Repeat Visit!

We loved our stay at KBH that we ended up booking another few nights here. Our room was spacious for us Adults and our little baby. It was clean, tidy and had a comfortable and lovely decor. We liked that you can set up in a shady grass area on the lawn and have the Hawaiian music in the backdrop. The location is also a #1 reason we loved it at KBH. We enjoyed the food, staff and rooms and would highly recommend staying here. Mahalo Nui Loa KBH Ohana for making our honeymoon even more special!

Enjoy the Ka'anapali area

The hotel is located nicely at a great beach and within walking distance of Whaler's Village. We enjoyed a walk through the entire Whaler's Village shopping area. Honestly, the prices for most shops are too high, so we just browsed. But the stores closest to the parking lot offer the most touristy Hawaii type gifts and are reasonably priced. Most stores will validate parking if you parked in the mall parking lot. The entire Ka'anapali area is nice, so a brisk walk along the hotel frontages is a good workout on a nice day. The beach and view is beautiful!

Charming As Ever

This time we stayed in the Molokai Building (all non-smoking) because of the ocean front rooms that have a marvelous view of Lanai and Molokai. What a seascape! The one snag is that this building does not have an elevator, so we had plenty of exercise going to our third floor room. We knew that this wing is not as modern as other wings and the shower was certainly tiny. Sitting on the lanai in the mornings, watching the canoes and small boats, with the ever-present sound of the surf, was so relaxing. The staff are the great asset to this hotel. Everyone we met smiled and greeted us with "Aloha." They really do enjoy working here, as can be witnessed by the number of white kukui nuts in their leis (one for each year). The restaurant is excellent, with nightly music and hula on the outdoor stage. Stop by the Hale Ho'okipa in the lobby for Hawaiian cultural exhibits and friendly staff to answer questions and explain Hawaiian customs.Yes, this is the most Hawaiian hotel on Maui, with a long history of celebrating and sustaining Hawaiian culture and language. We look forward to our next visit.

Unpleasant service

My partner and I had done a sunset cruise with Trilogy (fantastic, and well worth it), and had parked in the hotel parking. We had issues with the ticket machine as we were coming in and hadn't been given a ticket for validation despite the barrier arm letting us through. We had to talk to the valet/parking people to get this sorted and the lady there was thoroughly unpleasant, making us feel like we were totally putting her out and being unreasonable - the Trilogy people we had talked to had said that they had been having issues with their parking system during the day. We were able to get it sorted but it put a bad taste at the end of a lovely evening.Tl;dr - it is particularly unpleasant to have bad service when it is only needed after your systems have failed.
