Booked through an internet travel site, had to stay elsewhere one day because of restricted check in time (only during office hours). Easy check-in, received electronic door code (from Maui condo company) for the 2 br, 2 ba condo. Decent shape of room consistent with age, wonderful ocean view from room (balconies facing pool much better than those facing parking lot). Very quiet room, did not hear neighbors at all (probably because of older solid cinder block construction). The grounds were clean, staff were nice. Laundry on premises, coins available at front desk. Conveniently located, close to numerous nearby restaurants (need to drive to them). Wifi available by property (slow) and room (fast once I figured it out). BBQ near pool were very popular with folks staying here. Beach was for walking, didn't see anyone swim (see Maui Revealed reviews of Kihei beaches). Would stay here again, as long as I got the room facing towards the inside of the V on the layout (which is luck, because they don't give you a map beforehand).
We stayed in one of the timeshare units at this complex right on the beach. We had a view of the beach from the little balcony. We also had a view of the construction of a five million dollar house next door. Interesting, but noisy. The unit was clean, but the furniture was dated. The coffee pot was non-functional, actually in pieces. We called the management company brought a nice new one very promptly. The concierge, Malia Johnson, is very knowledgeable and very helpful. She was able to book us into several events and at a nice discount. The location this property is wonderful. Handy to everything!
Lovely part of Maui. Near Wailea with its beautiful golf courses. Clean comfortable condos. Beautiful calm sandy beach. Enjoyable time on Maui. Lots of available shopping and plenty of places to eat. Beach is very child friendly. We enjoy this side of the island. Less wind for golfers.
The room we received was some what of a disappointment, while not the worst place I've ever stayed.but the Maui condo company wouldn't respond to multiple calls all ending in leaving a voice mail, and an email. Cons Smoke detector was clearly missing a battery as the door was wide open. The provided coffee pot didn't work when we first plugged it in ( fist call) The front desk was friendly but they only handle the outside care, and I would add the outside was very kept up. The bathroom didn't look like it had been dusted for years. The shower valve was installed upside down so hot was cold and cold was hot! (Major safety concern if you have little ones or elderly) The bed sheets had holes in them. The dishwasher was taken out of service due to a leak and never replaced or repaired. That also explains the musty rank smell in the kitchen.Pros Assigned parking so you always know you'll have a spot when you come home Pool was nice (cold) but refreshingNice grills to cook dinner onShuffle board, putting green, volleyball, horse shoe pits.
We rented 433 through vrbo. The condo was a little less clean than I like, but a simple vacuum of the unit fixed that fast. The condo building is near the outskirts of Kihei which is both good and bad. I liked that it was quiet and private but we constantly had to hop in the car and drive to everything which gets old. It was our first time renting a condo and having a more do it yourself vacation. Honestly, I missed housekeeping. I don't see us doing this sort of vacation again for a long time.
