We stayed here on December 2017. I can’t say we would recommend this place to others, nor would we stay here again. When we arrived, we discovered that we could not at all use the balcony, because it was closed shut, and had to content with ugly construction scaffolding and crane trucks outside in front of the living room view. We could have gotten over this, except that on the tail end of our days, the construction began in full force, and the noise was extreme. I am not talking about a noise of a hammer here and there, I’m talking about construction noise so loud that if you were inside the apartment, you had to yell to the person beside you for them to hear you. We had a toddler with us, and it was impossible for him to get any shut eye, so we had to leave the apartment. Then the construction crew was going up and down in front of your living room, so all the curtains had to be closed as well.None of this was communicated to us. When I messaged the management company, I got an email back saying that the owner should have warned you, and they just said we had to contact the owner ourselves for a resolution. A convenient passing of the buck. When we did, the owner was nice enough on the phone, and said he would “compensate” us for the troubles. That sounded good to us, only for him to hand us $100 the next day and a promise of a discount next time we come to Maui. This was all too little, too late. When we were booking, we had many options, and would have looked elsewhere had we known what we know now.
An OK place to stay. Not modern but good value for the dollar. Good location. Lots of construction going on for quite a while. Clean, tidy, bar b ques, nice pool. Beach is just ok. If you get it for a good price it’s worth it.
Our condo was on the beach, so you KNOW we had a great 10 days! Fully furnished and equipped, well-maintained. Kihei has a lot of shops, restaurants, etc. Maui has parks galore to get on the beach. The helicopter tour was amazing! Maui Ocean Center is a good tour as well. And the GOLF! So many beautiful courses!
We stayed in room 532 on Nov. 15-22 2017. We had heard about the construction and chatted with the management to find out it was in the other building for now. The rental company and management were wonderful to deal with. We were usually out in the daytime so the construction didn't bother us. The Condo was two bedroom two bath and we found it very cozy and clean. The views are lovely from living room and master bedroom. Air con worked great. Bed was super comfy with new sheets, pillows and towels. The kitchen had everything we needed too. The hotel has a lot of green space in front of it then the beach. We found the beach nice for walks but didn't swim here. We chose to take short drives to beautiful Makena beach. We were out so much we didn't use pool or barbecues but they looked well taken care of. There were great restaurants in Kihei with awesome happy hours. Three's was one of our favs. We loved our stay here at this condo but for beaches would stick to the Caribbean.
Nice location, beautiful ocean view. However, be aware that a major construction that is planned to last for 2 years all over the property is underway and you will hear the noise inside the room as well. Be sure to talk with your unit owner to make sure he or she is honest with you about the construction and inconveniences that you may experience.
