Napili Kai Beach Resort
- What's Included
We loved our stay at Napili Kai and are already talking about coming back. What a delight -- they get the details right here and operate with a very high level of thoughtfulness and hospitality without being pretentious. There is some variety in the different buildings at Napili Kai as far as proximity to the beach and how recently the rooms were renovated. We were in Puna Point and while our lanai was about as oceanfront as it gets, it was a short walk to the actual beach (other buildings are closer to the sandy beach but set back a little further from the water). Our kitchen was very updated with granite counter tops and higher-end stainless appliances, but we walked past rooms in other buildings that had less updated kitchens (white fridge and laminate counter tops). Also, some rooms have A/C and some do not. Everything is very well-cared for and management is continuously improving the resort, but if any of these things really matter to you it's worth giving them a call when you book to make sure you are getting what you expect. I would not want anyone's vacation to be ruined by a white fridge :). Also, Napili Bay has many resorts, but they are all low-rise and it was really quiet at night - so this may not be the right spot for you if you're seeking lots of nightlife. It was perfect for us, though! Can't wait to come back.
Went to Happy Hour at the sea house Restaurant in the Napili Kai Beach Resort. The ambiance is fantastic. We sat at the bar. Windows behind the bar were open adding a fabulous view of Napili Bay. The adult beverages and pupus were moderately priced. I will be going back. Our server, Darlene was informative and enjoyable. I will return.
This is what Maui should be all the time. Not crowded like Lahaina. Friendly people, oceanview rooms. What more do you want? This is all you need. Only issue is parking is tight . I feel like this is what Maui was like in the 1950s. If you truly want to relax, this is the place. Not the hustle and bustle of a modern day resort. Free parking free from resort fees. We had 2 free breakfast every morning at the sea house restaurant on the property. What a fabulous spot.
This was our first time to Napili Bay, we've stayed in Kihei and Kaanapali previously. This resort was so lovely, we had a view of the pool and partial ocean. There is a mini pitch and putt golf course, fitness centre, the beach is steps away for great snorkelling. We walked on the coastal trail many times in the morning, to the Honolua Store for a coffee and back along the Kapalua Golf Course walk. The area is truly one of the most beautiful in the world. The unit was beautiful, air conditioned, full kitchen, big lanai.
We booked our stay through Donna Bender of MauiCalls. Our schedule freed up and my wife and I wanted to run away to Maui in February (without a place booked). Donna Bender jumped on our call for help and found us some wonderful options. She was responsive and polite--she did point out that it was winter in the rest of America and a little notice would be better. But she found us a place at Napili Point (right next to Napili Bay) looking down on Honokeana Bay. We spent a wonderful week watching whales and turtles. We loved the resort and our room. Thanks Donna!!
