Perfect

Would make this property home. We lived it. And are returning this year. The salt water pool is paradise, and the geckos are the icing on the cake. Very nice rooms and landscape. Definitely has the Hawaiian vibe.

Good Maintanance not REQUIRED to be in their rental pool!

We were in c109 and the air conditioners required batteries.. then that didn't work and after a 2nd trip to the management office....needed new remote ... the rack in the Dishwasher horribly rusted, items in top shelves of kitchen cabinet too high to reach with no stool to get them, bathroom drain clogged,Tv cabinet door broke and when attempted to close the tv cabinet the tv fell out! After 5 days and many complaints from us.. we requested a change & resort put us in a 2nd floor unit! But we Were locked out the master bedroom and bath (which we discovered the next to the last nite) and although it was nicer than the 1st unit we had there was only a DOUBLE bed not a King and a pull out couch that did not pull out after the 2nd nite. The communication with the office was extremely poor even after the Venetian blind feel out of the holder and hit my arm.. leaving me with a cut .a lump and a bruise.. it truly could have been a lot worse had it landed on my head or face!Renting there directly from an owner as my friends have.. good choice!Expecting unit you may get thru management to be maintained well by the demand of the resort??? Or expect clear communication ???? Or follow up from this management... don't hold your breath!

Good facility and staff but loud traffic noise

Excellent rooms with kitchens. One bedrooms have washer and dryers in the units (studios do not)Easy check in, helpful staff. Beautiful property. Beautiful units, love the stone in the showers. Comfortable beds. Excellent wifi with a router in each room. Best wifi I've had while travelling. Fully stocked kitchen, they will bring you coffee every day. Paper towel, dish soap....everything you'll need. Nice BBQs on site, two pools. Jacuzzi. Nice covered area by the pool to relax with very comfortable chairs.Cute town to walk around with nice waterfront. From seeing most of Maui, this is a nice quaint town and a good base for operations. We ended up eating out only once on the trip to Maui, this unit was very functional. There is a Costco near the airport, stock up and shop the rest if needed at the local foodland. There is a $18 daily parking fee on site, not really any other options for your vehicle. Could hear the traffic from the highway near by, at all hours, But this is how it seems to be everywheres in Maui. No balcony - used the covered area or the patio by the pool. Plenty of space. So many beautiful beaches within minutes and a good distance to attractions within the island.

A homelike feel

First time visitors to Maui. This was the perfect spot for us. Close to everything shopping, groceries, fine dining ,fast food .Close to beaches and entertainment. The apartment like accomodations excellent fully functional kitchen awesome never had to make do or hunt for anything. The showers were awesome and beds comfortable. The grounds were beautiful. Pools and areas well kept and clean .So helpful to have someone there daily to help with bookings and answer any questions. The only con i have which is minor The lighting in the rooms were a bit dim could be brighter Would stay here again and recommend it for sure.

Feel like Home in Lahaina

Recently visited Maui for our wedding with a party of 12 guests. We rented 3 rooms at the Outrigger; two 2 beds 2 baths, and one 1 bed 1 bath. One of the 2 bed 2 baths had to be rented through a vacation management property, but regardless, all of the rooms were great. They all had fully equipped kitchens as well as outdoor BBQs. We were able to cook everything from pizza to burgers to save on dinning out. The bathrooms were very nice and had large walk-in showers (no bathtubs, which we liked). It was also equipped with a washer and dryer. Our 1 br/1 bath had a ceiling fan as well as a vented window, however the other bathrooms in the 2 brms did not have a ceiling fan in the bathrooms. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked GREAT! We had AC in all the bedrooms as well as the Living areas. Being that we were upstairs, and in direct sunlight, a functional AC was a necessity. They were quite noisy, but you could run the AC all day and keep the room cool until bed time and then turn it off. We swam in both of the pools as well as the jacuzzi and all were very clean. There were even attendants confirming room numbers on a few occasions. If you already have activities planned, skip the complimentary "breakfast". It's just muffins and coffee. But if you don't have activities booked upon arrival, this is an opportunity to get some free or discounted stuff. But it will take up half of your day (my parents were there until noon). After the wedding, my husband and I relocated to the Sheraton in Kaanapali. We wish we would've stayed at the Outrigger. We preferred Lahaina to Kaanapali, and when we went back to visit family at the Aina Nalu, it just gave us more of a feeling of "home" vs. the Sheraton.Sure, if you want bell service, room service, on-site bar & grill, etc, then you should stay at a place like the Sheraton. However, if you are looking for a great place to relax as a couple, or with family and friends and get away from all of the over priced mumbo jumbo, then I think you will enjoy yourself at the Aina Nalu. Especially because it is centrally located less than 5 minute walk to the beach, 1 block to the warf, we walked every where and hardly used our rental car. Many of my family memebers were able to ride the bus (which picked up outside the warf) and never needed to drive the entire week.
