Outrigger Napili Shores
- What's Included
We had a great time as a family over a week while in town for a wedding but found some of the reception staff to be a little unhelpful and inflexible on a few minor matters such as fixing a room key and getting an extra towel for the pool which detracted from our overall experience of the Hotel. I'd recommend the location and rooms but don't expect much from a service perspective like you take for granted from other tourist destinations fighting for your next holiday. The Gazebo Restaurant is SERIOUSLY overrated too, don't get sucked into the 1.5 hour wait to see what it's like! Head to The Sea House down the end of the Beach instead, its only a short 300m walk on the sand away and much better value.
Room was very large with fridge freezer and ice maker, Hot had to have ceiling fans on through night. 2 in room 1 in bathroom, Staff very helpful and always smiling, 15 min walk to nearest shops, or you can get on a bus $2 per journey or $4 all day. If you drive would be good but if not then walks or bus. Sunset every night great view of this. the resort was very clean and looks warming, Only problem had was the restaurant open breakfast and dinner. You had to have a log wait if you wanted breakfast easier to go shopping to get your own, You need to be here to appreciate how nice and relaxing this area is.
We were a family of 3 staying 7 nights during spring break. Lots of kids and families during our stay which was very enjoyable. We arrived late at night. The security guard was ready and showed us to our room. There were no issues at all, in fact it was easier and more personal than checking in at a hotel. We had a ground floor condo near the heated pool. E144. Our unit included microwave, stove, coffee/tea maker, dishwasher, hardwood floors, large cooling fans and free Wi-Fi which worked very well. King bed in the bedroom, two pullout sofas in the living room. The spacious and shaded lanai was excellent. There is a market nearby (2 minute drive) and a 24hr Safeway down the highway in Lahaina. Excellent beach access to Napili Bay by short footpath.. In the other direction you will reach "turtle cove". Snorkel shop on site for rentals, etc. Coffee and cinnamon buns each morning at 7am near the lobby. Signs on the grounds read "quiet time from 10pm". Indeed it was very quiet at night so a good sleep was guaranteed. We used the BBQ's and on-site dining. The second unheated pool looks out over the ocean. I'm not sure what more to add. We had two other family groups with us and they loved it as well. I would consider coming back here soon and I couldn't think of any negatives at all.
We own unit D230 and C116 and we decided to invest there because we love the resort and all that has to offer. We've been going there for so many years until we decied to invest there. Best choice EVER!
My wife and I decided to stay here for the last 4 nights of our Hawaiian trip. We had a rough start in the beginning, mostly due to my inexperience and negligence in research. In the end, however, we left in good spirits and with wonderful memories. We ended up getting a room with an Ocean view on the first floor (in the I building)Some things we really liked about this hotel:- The staff was overall understanding and helpful. The front desk checked us in several hours earlier than our expected check-in which was really convenient.- The nearby restaurant on the premises, the Gazeebo, was very convenient and delicious. While I'm not sure if it was a perk for staying nearby or if it was general knowledge, the take-out option for the restaurant made things VERY easy with very little wait.- The view is spectacular! Beautiful beaches within walking distance! Nearby snorkeling. Nearby Sea turtles!! (Easily my favorite part of the whole trip). On multiple occasions we saw whales in the distance swimming by. Wow! If you visit in whale season, bring binoculars or a camera that has excellent zoom.- Parking nearby- Fast Wireless/Wired InternetSome things we didn't like about this hotel:- The room we stayed in didn't have Air Conditioning, so just be prepared for things to be a little warmer in the late afternoon. This didn't ruin the stay at all, but was just a personal preference. - When we first arrived, our room hate a small bug problem. Mostly along the ceiling and the corners which at first didn't bother us much. It became a problem when they appeared on the countertop around the food prep areas. Eventually things got resolved, as the hotel very graciously offered a gift for our troubles. We limited what we prepared in the hotel room, washed everything immediately after using, and ate outside on the patio (Which was very nice). As a result, the bugs seemed to lessen toward the end of our stay. The hotel had a service come out to deal with the pests on the last day of our trip. For me, having experienced warm Hawaiian evenings, AC is a very nice feature. No doubt it cools off in the night and they had high quality fans in the room, so the trip was still very enjoyable. With the exception of the minor pest problem, the hotel was very nice and I'd consider staying again knowing now what to expect.
