I will give this hotel a 0, we had previously stated there at least 3 times previously & so we booked from Oct 1st thru the 6th, when we got to the hotel, it was closed & the cancellation from the hotel came on an email as we were arriving at the hotel, needless to say we were disgusted, we were told to go to another hotel where there was a rep from the Deauville which told us they were very sorry, I asked if the hotel had been closed since July, why were we able to make reservations on July 6th & then later on didn't even get a cancellation notice until we actually got to the hotel, of course he did not have an answer, he went on to say they will probably reopen in January or February, told him they will never ever get my business again & I am sure many people are probably just as upset as we were, told him they were a whole bunch of unproffesionals who did not even give a hoot about their regular customers, Do yourselves a favor, DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL.

Hotel closed due to fire- no one advised us

We have stayed at the hotel numerous times, and always enjoyed our stay. However, on August 15 we arrived to find the hotel closed. We were extremely upset, to say the least, as we had not been informed of this (the fire occurred about 3 weeks prior to our arrival). We were met outside and directed to the Sea Coast, and told they would accommodate us. However, the person at the Sea Coast told us that they had no record of our reservation as all records had been destroyed in the fire, and they could not accommodate us. So at 8 pm, we found ourselves stranded and had to make other arrangements. Very poor customer service indeed. I hope when the hotel re-opens they install a reservation system with back-up in case of emergency.I also hope management reads my review and responds appropriately.

Great weekend stay

We stayed at this hotel prior to our Cuba cruise in July. My expectations weren't too high,but I have to say I was nicely surprised. The property had been upgraded and had a clean and nice crisp retro look. Beautiful retro fitted lobby area. Our room was nice clean and offers a beautiful partial view of he ocean. Breakfast was great! It offered a lot of options and variety. The area offered many restaurant options. Highly recommend it!

12/08/17This hotel is on renovation without say it to customers.Then, they transfers you in a another hotel in south beach, a one star hotel or motel "Paradise beach hotel "(go check) , and they don't refund it /pay back us. It's their business : we pay for a 3 stars resort and they send us in a motel with keeping our money. If you are unfortunately in front of this ghost hotel, go to 5151 Condo seacoast hotel for the check-in (Eventually they don't precise it, so we had to search by ourselves ). Dear the responsable of this business : *************************************aren't you ashamed? People have 2 weeks of vacation per year and you take those decisions without give back our money? Or without choosing a same class hotel?Without noticing in the website or sending an e-mail?I hope for futures customers they'll not go to your resort. Sincerely,A french customer.

Conny Ragone was a Great Help

Our wedding reception had been scheduled for August 5th in the Jazz Room or the Deauville. We met with Conny to reserve the hall, to have a tasting of menu, and to take a second look at the hall when we wanted to pick a color scheme for our event. Nine days before our wedding, Conny called me to informed me that the Deauville had been temporarily closed due to an electrical problem that left the hotel in the dark. Seeing that the problem was taking longer than expected, she made phone calls to nearby hotels, and took us to see various venues that were similar to the Jazz Room. Even when our money had been returned by the Deauville and we had transferred our party to another hotel Conny continued to work with us. She worked with the new catering manager to make sure all our original wishes were fulfilled. The new hotel did not allow us to set up and decorate the night before, so the morning of the wedding I took the boxes full of decorations and props so she could do the set up herself. When my husband and I entered the hall during cocktail hour we were astounded by the way everything looked. Everything was in the right place and the whole place looked better than I expected. She had even gone back to our place to pick up the place-cards I had forgotten in the rush. Personally I think she could do very well as a self-employed wedding planner, but the Deauville is very lucky to have her. She was working up to twelve hours straight to make sure things went smoothly for us. She was relentless and it was thanks to her dedication and tenacity that we were able to have the wedding of our dreams.
