Not Near the Action

The hotel itself is in fair condition. Nothing great, but fairly clean and the bed was comfortable. We purchased the most expensive room overlooking the water. We arrived at 12:30 pm and our room wasn't ready until just about 3:45 pm. Others in our party that arrived after us, received their rooms immediately! Don't know why but we needed to wait for a long while. Mismanaged hotel. The hotel is almost at the very end of Collins Ave., There are 2 additional hotels after this one on Collins. There is little to do outside the hotel and you must drive to get to any places to eat. There is virtually nothing to do near the hotel. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay with a pool then this is a good value. I did notice there were many unsavory types outside the hotel, both during the day and in the evening.

Nice hotel

Nice art deco hotel. Friendly staff. The food is good and not overpriced for Miami. Our room was really big and we hadn't upgraded. On the downside the room rate is quite pricey. Good location just off the beach

Very enjoyable stay

I was apprehensive to stay here after reading some of the reviews, however, we were pleasantly surprised!! We never had one problem during our stay. The staff were all very nice and accommodating. We were pleased with the hotel amenities and our room which was oceanfront was great with a wonderful view. We ate at the breakfast buffet one morning and it was very good, the omelet grill was yumm! The outdoor bar had a good selections of drinks and food, they even had fresh grilled food on the weekend for lunch. We really enjoyed the employees; Dan, Daria, and Martha. Please know that this area of Miami beach is primarily resorts so restaurants around the hotel are all within other hotels. We walked to South beach twice, and took the trolley once which is free. There are much more eating options in South Beach. We walked to Fountainbleu for breakfast one morning and looked around at the shops, this place was way out of our league but interesting to see how the upperclass vacations. We also rented a car for the day and drove to the Keys, we used Enterprise that is at Fountainbleu and very convenient. The best part was the car could be returned at any time the same night to the valet at the hotel. We used both cab and Uber to and from the airport which ran around 30.00 for either.

Nice place

This was the second time I had stayed here, the rooms were nice, plenty of room. The views were nice too, but the windows themselves to lookout where very small. The breakfast buffet was decent but overpriced, but hey welcome to Miami lol. The Staff we're bilingual, but Spanish obviously was their first language. They all had seems to struggle with English. There's a nice little Lobby Bar, that serves drinks late, relaxing entertainment. Private beach and swimming pool very nice. Surrounding area, where you can get food delivered, and although it's not an airport Holiday Inn, it's still within a quick Uber distance to the Miami airport. There's also a small overpriced gift shop to the left of the elevators, but very convenient items available. There's a Walgreens within walking distance if you can't find what you're looking for in the gift shop. This place really deserves five stars, but the 3x5 window overlooking the beach doesn't do it any justice. I'm obviously over exaggerating about the window but if you ever see it you'll understand what I'm talking about.

Great Affordable Hotel!

My family's stay here was very pleasant. The pool and beach area was really nice. The pool attendant (the older gentlemen with the white hair) was very nice and kept the pool area very clean and nice! Our room was clean and comfortable. Granted there are a few things that need upgrading, however it wasn't a deal breaker. The bed was cozy I slept like a baby....the pillow was so plush. I had the breakfast buffet in the Paradise cafe waitresses were very pleasant. The food was good. For $15 bucks all you can eat and juice and coffee not bad. Most mornings it was so convenient to just go down and have a good meal...I think that some of the complaints on the reviews are a misrepresentation of this Hotel. It's a 3šŸŒŸso you are going to have some issues but for me the good definitely out weighed the bad...Great value!!
