Holiday Inn Miami Beach
- What's Included
Room nice and big but very expensive for one nights stay without breakfast I paid more than R5000 per night which is a bit ridiculous for only a bed to sleep on and a very ordinary hotel nothing special for me at all, there is a restaurant inside hotel but very expensive as well. There is also no room service at this hotel only vending machines and it does not even have a big variety of things inside the vending machines
First 20 lashes for my not getting the front desk clerks name. I mean all desk clerks are pretty much friendly, but this guy acted like he really wanted us to stay and enjoy. He mentioned that since we were Platinum members we were upgraded to a Suite on the Penthouse level over looking the beach. The only thing I questioned here, you build an oceanfront hotel, rooms facing the beach and you don't have balconies??But still a great place, though couldn't really tell if the décor in the room was going for retro or just needed updating. Excellent room either way.Beautiful pool area, and beach snack bar, fantastic breakfast buffet with a friendly hard working staff.Would not hesitate to stay here again.
The hotel was very well maintained for it's age. The grounds facing the beach were beautiful with a pool. We didn't use that pool as it wasn't heated and we were there in early December. The room was your average room. The beds were soft and you sank into them when we laid down, but we still found them comfy. The room and the bathroom were clean. You could tell that they had done some upgrading with paint. We didn't like the fact that our door did not close properly. You could see light all around the doorframe. We found that a little unsettling as we were 2 female travelers. We did try to find the bike rental spot to take the bikes down to South Beach. We could not find it. We also checked out a little travel agency just down the street from the hotel about the open air busses we could see driving around. The lady was VERY rude. She told us the price ( which was outrageous ) and that she didn't have any tickets. We turned around and left immediately. I have never had such rude service. We tried to walk down to South Beach...but the hotel is still quite a ways from there. The staff at the desk of the hotel were great. We had to print off our boarding passes early in the morning of check out, and the printer provided for guests to use was not working, so they let us use the printer in their office. That was something they didn't have to do. The bellmen also gave super service. We found everyone who wasn't with the hotel that we came into contact with to be rude.
It is a good recommendation to have GPS in the car for reaching this hotel located at the Oceanfront.Stayed 1 night 4th-5th Jan. in 6 rooms with 21 people.Beautiful rooms,we had seaview, pool and beach was perfect.Don't forget to ask people in the lobby to take care about your car.It cost aroundUSD 45 /24 hours, and is worth every penny
We stayed at this location a couple of days apart during a trip between Orlando and Key West. The first night the room was average, wishing there was a fridge. The access to the beach is awesome, the pool cold, although the Sheraton next door offered a heated pool which we could easily access. The second night, I asked for an additional upgrade as Spire Elite. We were upgraded to PH level, which gave us better views and a larger room. It was 2 rooms divided by a TV wall, 1 King Bed and a pullout couch. Fridge included and a microwave. Smaller than a Staybridge suite. However, overall nice stay.
