Holiday Inn Miami Beach
- What's Included
Among IHG Properties, Holiday Inn is considered a lesser economy tier when compared to other brands such as the Crowne Plaza and Intercontinental Hotels, but while the generalization may apply to many HI properties , it clearly DOES NOT apply to this property managed by its GM Francisco Astete and FO Manager Christina Molina (extra kudos). As a Platinum member I booked a room for my son and his wife, recent newlyweds and remarked it would be nice to take care of them while staying at the property and was surprised at the quick response by Manager Molina who assured me that they would indeed take care of my family. Not only did Manager Molina reach out to provide information before the trip but made some great suggestions to make their stay enjoyable. When my family walked into the hotel, they were met with the sight of lively families all around in addition to a beautiful fountain in the center of the first floor. While they waited a few minutes for them to finish up the room, they were given two complimentary drink tickets in addition to the two they already given initially. And they had a lovely room! As a special recognition to recent weds, they were givens fruit and champagne, extra toiletries wrapped up nicely in a towel swan on the bed and even provided a complimentary refrigerator that was used throughout the weekend. Their view was spectacular as well, showing a stretch of beach that went on for miles (the hotel sits right on the beach). The pool was always fun and there was no trouble getting towels or available poolside seats. My family had a fantastic time there and even recommended other family and friends to check it out. Given the above I am surprised at other reviews complaining about service. My family experienced nothing but great service throughout their stay and with a location on the beach with access to everything around south beach could not have asked for anything more. Thank you Front Office Manager Molina and GM Astete for making their stay memorable. Ms Molina thank you for staying in constant touch and demonstrating the spirit of excellence that clearly permeates throughout the Hotel. YOU BOTH ROCK!
Stayed here for a family trip. $350 room with no refrigerator, no bathroom ventilation. Carpet was wet. Room extremely basic and small. Blah. Closet would've been nice. Some chutzpah they've got putting out this junk.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn over a few days while my boyfriend was at a conference. It's located right on the beach with the same access to the boardwalk and lounge chairs etc as all the fancy hotels, without the crazy price. The staff do a good job of keeping the grounds clean and maintained and the rooms, while not fancy, do the job. Biggest pros here are location and boardwalk access while the biggest cons are a very low shower pressure and small pool. Overall a good option if affordability is key.
The hotel is in the beach, and I got a room ocean front. However the window is old fashion and little, so the view is not great. Bathroom need update. Amenities are OK. Gym good, pool good. No jacuzzi but somehow it is adjacent to another hotel and they have a jacuzzi there. I am a Spire Member, was offered some welcome points but never got them. When I ask in reception the young attendant argued with me and said: All hotels work different, which I do not think that is the way. That brad need an introduction to PR.
We stayed here for 2 nights before taking our cruise. The hotel was very nice. there is a pool and bar outside. The beach is right out the back of the hotel. You can grab a towel from the pool area to take to the beach. There are multiple vendors on the beach for chairs and umbrellas. the prices were $10 for the chair and $15 for the umbrella. not many restaurants nearby, so we took Lyft to the South Beach area for about $10 one way.
