Hyatt Regency Miami
- What's Included
OverviewStay in the middle of the action at Hyatt Regency Miami. Indulge in the spirit of the American Riviera at this hotel located just 15 minutes from South Beach and two miles from the Port of Miami. This downtown hotel is conveniently situated adjacent to the Miami Convention Center and easily accessible to everywhere you want to be.
Parking and the valet line were bad. Wait time was very long. Beds were small, the wait time for the front desk was extremely long and I expected waffles or pancakes at breakfast. I didn't enjoy any of the breakfast options you had.
The hotel is in a great location in downtown Miami. The hotel staff is very pleasant and our room was comfortable and clean! I would highly recommend this hotel! The breakfast buffet was awesome with plenty of selections of food.
the lobby and another part of the hotel are very old and not so welcoming, don't expect Hyatt standard, the room was ok but not so clean, the bathroom was very small.reception guy was very nice and the parking lot is a bit far.view from the 16 floor was great
No issues will stay again. Service was good although it didn't matter that I was globalist. No preferred treatment everyone treated equally. Upgrade offered after requested. Club level unavailable but advised to go to buffet.
Check In: I called in a million times to make sure everything went smoothly (Shout out to Shelby for being so patient at 3:00 am in the morning). I was checked in by Caprice and I'm going to give her a shout out for handling the misunderstanding about the $50 fee I spoke to Maria about on the phone. I was misinformed that I was going to pay $50 total for my stay just in case if I ordered any room service, movies, etc. Caprice handled the situation with class and was very professional. Location: The hotel is located in the center of downtown so everything is less than a $10 uber/lyft ride (South Beach, Wynwood, Little Havana etc). I loved that there is a whole foods and a CVS less than 10 minute walk away from the hotel. So if I needed any snacks or toiletries then I'm all set (no uber needed). Haha!! Also, The bayside shopping area is located really close to the hotel (less than 15 min walk/ less than $5 uber/lyft). Our Room: When me and my friend first walked in the room it was very clean. What I thought was pretty cool was that they put a welcome message on the TV (I don't know why that was pretty cool so please don't judge me). Our view was pretty horrible and there was some screen damage to our window door. I wasn't allowed to open the glass door even though it was a balcony door. :( Shoutout to one of the maiBreakfast: My mother always told me you get what you pay for in this world so I didn't expect breakfast to be first class. The watermelon was "stale", the pancakes were dry, the french toast was really soggy, the sausage was oily. Let me just wrap it up and say I didn't understand what was the purpose of being forced to sit where the "waiters" wanted me to sit when I had to get my own food. I thought that was silly especially when all the waiters did was bring our drinks to the tables. The only two people that made breakfast worth it was Ms Alberta and Gabriel. Ms. Alberta was always smiling and checking up on me. She truly showed she cared and was genuine. Gabriel was also a sweetheart on our last day. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see Ms. Alberta on my last day at the hotel. I really didn't like the way the woman with the short natural hair treated me on my birthday morning about the sitting arrangement. There was a smoother way she could've handled it. Service: The service was pretty average. I say this because some employees were super sweet and a couple were pretty rude. Especially the girl who was assisting the "World of Hyatt" guests on the morning of August 4th. I don't think it's necessary that I need to be a "World of Hyatt" member to break a $20 bill. Anyways, Javier was such a gentleman about handling the issue with my safe. The concierges Maria and Lidia were super sweet assisting me with recommendations even though I didn't like Maria's recommendations, Lidia's recommendations were fantastic! My friend and I enjoyed our dinner at Havana 1957!! It will be one of the restaurants that I will be visiting when I return to Miami. Overall Experience: The stay wasn't terrible but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone was wants leisure travel. This hotel is in the Downtown area so if youre planning to go to the beach then you need to stay in south beach. If you make a mistake and book through booking.com then I'm sorry it's a less than $10 uber/lyft to the beach. I won't be selecting this property next time but I will book a Hyatt location closer to the beach if possible. If not, there's always the Hilton!!! Haha
