Couldn't have had a better stay or better service from front desk, pool and bsr staff or concierge. Fabulous view and well appointed room. We didn't need to leave the hotel to eat. Happy hours and Executive Lunch at Toro Toro satisfied our wishes for craft brews, Latin cocktails and food. We appreciated the birthday cake and champagne and the unexpected fireworks in the bay outside our window. Will definitely come again.
Being an Ambassador member I was expecting to have the service that was supposed to, by the hotel's customer service. Destipe that, no kick back of this membership was granted, plus the fact of the bad responce of the personel.
visited hotel for the first time in over a decade, lots of upgrades -touchscreens for almost everything. Service is great, live DJ at night. You will not get bored if you decide to just hang out at that hotel!
The experience at the hotel was great, very well located with possibility to get out and know the surroundings and the city center. The staff were very attentive, the event food delicious and the halls very comfortable.
We stayed three times in May/June, total of six nights, before, after and in-between a couple of cruises. We booked the Executive Floor and it proved to be an excellent decision. Rooms on this level are larger than an average international chain room, and have a spacious bathroom/dressing room area with plenty of storage space. The complimentary wifi was fast and reliable. The views from our room over the port were outstanding (huge window area), and thanks to the really helpful Lounge staff, we managed to get the same room each stay. All the staff we dealt with were, without exception, really pleasant and helpful - from the Receptionists, Lounge and Bell staff, to the Concierge desk guys who arranged a couple of tours for us very efficiently.Location of the hotel is excellent if you need to be close to the Port of Miami - ten minutes in a cab. Its also excellent for the Metro Mover train station at Bayfront (five minute walk), and for stores such as Macy's, Marshalls, and Whole foods, all about 5-10 minutes walk away. There are also plenty of eating places close by, ranging from cheap and cheerful cafes to top end. The Executive Lounge itself is well furnished and bright, great views over Downtown towards the airport and the sunset. Breakfast is more than adequate - think Continental +. Evening cocktails start at 6 pm with a good selection of wines, house pour spirits and beers, and a different selection of good quality canapes each evening. I'd suggest arriving close to 6pm to ensure a good seat/table, because it gets busy right on the dot of opening time! (My only negative comment - minor in the overall scheme of things - about the whole stay was the presence of several small children in the Lounge at cocktail time one evening - some were well behaved, but as usual a couple were not - cocktail time is grown up time! And one evening there were two small dogs present, something I've never seen in a Lounge anywhere in the world before, and wouldn't want to see again!). Overall though, this is a very pleasant Lounge with excellent staff and a great ambience, and represents great value for money.I'd recommend this hotel without reservation, and will most definitely stay again.
