Wonderful views may be enjoyed out over Biscayne Bay from this exclusive; luxurious city hotel. Links to the public transport network may easily be reached on foot and Fort Lauderdale is around 13 km away.

Fantastic views

We booked a one bed executive suite which was extremely spacious and comfortable. The bed room contained two double beds large tv and amazing views over Miami Beach and the harbour.The check-in was prompt and the desk clerk (Raphael) extremely helpful and friendly.The suite was very clean and had a Nespresso coffee machine and mini bar.There is a large bathroom and also a separate cloakroom which was useful if the bathroom was being used. My only criticism is the bathroom had a very bad odour of stale, stagnant water.I mentioned this to the front desk, but they were unable to resolve it.The hotel is about 25 mins from the airport and easy to get to.The pool is a good size with a bar/cafe on the terrace. There is also an air conditioned restaurant on the pool deck but we didn't use it.The hotel is a short walk to the Bayside market area with plenty of stores/market stalls and restaurants. This is also where you can pick up the various boat trips around the harbour.The executive lounge served a range of snacks and drinks, although my son (aged 16) was not allowed in the lounge between 5-7pm because alcohol was being served. Whilst I fully understand this policy if a minor attempts to enter the lounge unaccompanied, if the child is with a parent or adult I can't see why they can't come into the lounge. I've not experienced this policy in other hotels with executive lounges.We also had breakfast in the lounge and they offered a range of hot and cold dishes. Unfortunately we had to send the scrambled eggs back as they had a strange, oily flavour.Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will probably re-visit on our next trip to Miami.

Class and style

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and I will be back. Combination of class, style and luxury. Very spacious room fully equipped. Several restaurants and even Starbucks inside the hotel offers great dining. Walking distance to Miami Bayside and about 15 min driving to Miami Beach. Offers valet parking.

Hurricane Relief

Tremendous service during a challenging time for many locals . The staff was most accommodating within a difficult time for many . We would highly suggest out of town guests to utilize the Intercontinental!

Whow, what hotel!

Just want to be thankful for all what we received during our stay in the hotel on the Hurricane Irma storm. What a professional staff to make everyone feel SAFE, Mr. Hill, the General Manager, Mr Armelio, the DO, who commanded their first line staff squad and conducted the situation as magic. As guests we all received comfort, calm, proffesionalism and security, while I am possitive, they had a lot to be concerned about. Thank you again for making our hurricane Irma a great stay!

Great place to crash

Due to Irma and Jose our flights were canceled numerous times. More on that later. This was the last room left in Miami. It was great to have a place to rest rather then a chair or cot in the airport.Staff was great and you could tell most of the guests were trying to get home.No problems I would stay there again.
