I have been coming to this hotel for over 20 years and it never ceases to amaze me how fabulous the customer service is! Within the last 3 to 4 years I have seen miraculous changes in the energy and the vibe of the staff!! If your employees are happy... your guests will be also! And it honestly shows! The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable, the room service is great and the Club Lounge is exquisite!! The food in Toro Toro is the Best!! The Bar/Lounge is amazing and definitely a place to be seen! The vibe is so alive with non-stop energy and fabulous hand crafted cocktails! Whatever they are doing here is contagious and makes me want to keep coming back for more! From the bellman, guest relations, pool guys, bartenders, servers and concierge.. I feel like I have been greeted by Family! Thank you for another terrific experience here at the Intercontinental Miami!
We were at this hotel during the Thanksgiving holidays. Truly enjoyed the quality of hotel service especially at the Bluewater Rooftop Restaurant & Bar. The staff at this bar went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, enjoy the experience and make our visit truly memorable. If you are in the area please stop by and say hello to the staff including Juan Carlos, Chef Martha, Xavier, Clint, Ashae and Dianelis. Great team! Great location, Great team and Great service - and great drinks!!
When cruising from Miami, there is no better hotel The check in staff are all personable, friendly and assure our reservations are quickly honored and provide the best possible room.We always book a Club room. It's an absolute best buy for the Club amenities and the staff in the club room are the pick of the best hospitality industry. Ariel and Kelly became friends and we look forward to seeing them again on our next trip.Leslie, a new concierge, went above and beyond to help us and I trust we will see her again.
So I stayed here during the holiday weekend. One night in a double room and another in a suite. First, kudos to Guerda, the day manager who went the extra mile. Arrived on a very busy Saturday morning, holiday weekend, huge wedding going on, about 11-12noon the check in desk lobby was jammed packed. Took over 30mins to check in after some long traveling and let's say everyone is human and it was pretty busy. Hotel was full booked and everyone was overworked.Enjoyed the lobby which was pretty spectacular. Plaza location is great. I took the time to walk down to the Bayside Mall and the AA Arena just a block after that. Perfect place to shop with great views of the water.Back to the double room. Bathroom was huge. Older design, feels very 90s with the closet and safe in the bathroom. But regardless, very spacious. 2 double beds with a huge desk and my room had view of the water and this huge yacht docked by the hotel. The window is very large and can be used as an additional shelf. What I didn't like is that the double room was rough around the edges, peeling paint, dusty vents..the little things experienced travellers tend to notice. Either maintenance is asleep or everyone is waiting for a major refresh. If you want quiet, I recommend 25th floor or higher. There was some noise from a night even making it hard to sleep. Also the hotel is in the direct takeoff path of the airport, there will be plane noise.Suite - oh this was super spacious. An entry way with a half bath on the side, full bath on the other side (Same size bathroom as a double) and 1 living room with a round table 3 chairs, sofa TV, the other room the master bed, sofa, and table. Probably around 600sqft total size. Had a great night sleep. The little odd thing was that clearly this is meant for more than 1 person but there was only one robe and slippers and only 2 pillows vs. 4. Same rough around the edges in the bathroom with the sink not having a stopper rod but no harm.Breakfast in lobby - skip this and go to Starbucks. It was just ok but for $30 bucks I wished they upped the offering. That being said, fruit, pastries, made to order omlette and hot breakfastExecutive Club Lounge - nice with drinks and a smaller version of the hot breakfast.Pool - small but really nice, the Blue Lagoon drinks and food decently priced. Worth it. Spa/Fitness - also very nice. Spa has steam room and sauna, plenty of machines for cardio. It's part of the resort fee so go use it!Overall - not 5 star rooms but who comes to Miami to stay indoors. Good value and GREAT location close to shops and many restaurants. Centrally located and view to die for! The staff was very prompt to follow up via a survey when you connect to wifi..pretty impressive. There is also a # you can text for any request. Didn't use it but great idea too. Last, upon check in a couple chocolates was brought to the room.Might be worth it to join Ambassador to get room upgrades..this is one hotel where it would definitely pay off.
Stayed one night for business. The staff was great and recognized my Spire Status. Rooms are spacious, with good lighting for work. They could use a few more outlets. Excercise room is fantastic and Toro Toro is not your normal hotel restaurant. $35 for valet parking but normal for Miami.
