I went to Miami to attend an event at the American Airlines Arena. There are a few hotels closer and may be a little less expensive, but none compare to the InterContinental Miami. The check in went seemless. There were several people ahead of me but I didn't wait more than a couple of minutes before I was being helped. Loved that although my room wasn't ready I was given the option of another category room or waiting for my room to become available. Gladly I took the bayview room and was I pleasantly surprised. The view of the bay in the morning and watching the cruise ships come in was awesome. The restaurant in the lobby had a great vibe. Lots of people hanging out. The drinks and food were reasonably priced. Unfortunately I didn't get to experience more of this property due to my schedule but this is my second stay here and anytime I'm in Miami I'm staying at the InterContinental.
Everything was excelent, I had a great experience, the food was great, the rooms too. As I just went one day because of business, I cant give more information. But everybody were very nice ahd helpful.
The hotel was very nice and the room was very cozy and spacious The only thing that needs to be improved is the service from the restaurant in the lobby. It was very slow. Other than that everything was perfect.
We stayed at the Intercontinental hotel Miami the day before our cruise departed. They let us check in 7 hours early with no fuss for $100 up-charge. All of the staff were courteous and professional. The bell man was exceptional. We had a ton of luggage (3 ladies in our party). He quickly unloaded our vehicle and whisked the bags to our room. We had the same gentleman assist us when we departed. The hotel room was clean and modern. The location is great. Close to the marina area with plenty of shopping and dining options. We had the buffet breakfast at the hotel. It was not the quality I expected from the Intercontinental. Their Atlanta (Buckhead) property has great food service so I expected the same level of food and service. Just not the case. It was a great stay over all and I would choose them again for my next pre-cruise stay. There are other dining options close by.
This is one of my favorites to stay at when I travel. The rooms are large and clean. Staff is friendly and professional. The view of the cruise ships can't be beat. Even a Starbucks in the hotel. As for a higher floor, great views
