Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay

This hotel was beautiful and you can not find a better location in downtown Miami. We were on the 7th floor overlooking the pool and could see a bit of the bay from our balcony. The room was clean, spacious, and the beds were super comfortable! The only downside is that parking is $29, so be prepared for the extra expenses on top of the price you pay for the room.
We checked in at the end of a week seeing the Florida Keys. It was our last stop before going home and were tired. I had confirmed our stay and requests for a crib via the Marriott app. Everything seemed in order. However, on our arrival, there was no crib to be found. After stressing my confirmation of one just the day before, the front desk took their time and did a thorough check with housekeeping. They found us a crib! Yea! Also during our stay, we forgot our suitcase and jackets when we left for the airport. When I called the Marriott Customer service line, I was transferred ot Darion Bennett, the safety and security officer at the Bay. He was professional, kind and quick. They found our items and offered to ship them back to us free. Such great customer service all around. Thank you!
I stayed one night prior to a cruise, I purchased two rooms using my airline miles, received confirmation that everything was prepaid. Upon arriving they offered me a 40.00 upgrade for both rooms to a upper floor bay view, free internet and breakfast. I took the offer, which included free internet. When I got home and looked at my credit card statement they charged me 60.00 for room service which we did not order, 5.00 for a bottle of water, the upgrade 40.00, valet 37.00, then charged me 31.00 for one room and 47.00 for the other room, plus 9.95 for internet. It took me two days to get a hold of someone (who doesn't speak English of course) to get these charges removed. If you want to have a drink at the bar be prepared to fork out some money and wait for service. Their restaurant was a joke, we were told it would be a 30 minute wait, even though there were at least 10 empty tables. They tell you to go have a drink at the bar while waiting. After waiting over 30 minutes for a table we left and went into the mall and had a wonderful meal. I wish I knew the name of the place, they serve hamburgers, sandwiches and have a small store. Overall, we had a great room and view. The check in staff was very friendly and helpful. This is the first time I have ever had a problem with a Marriott hotel and don't think I will ever stay at this one again.
Just got back to an amazing week in Miami. I arrived to the Marriott at 2:30am after an 18 hour drive from New York and was welcomed with a wonderful smile at the counter by Jennifer. She offered us some water bottles and checked us very quickly as she saw how exhausted we were. We got a great balcony room overseeing Miami Bay and the view was breathtaking. We had breakfast every morning at the Catch Bar which is on the 1st floor. The breakfast is very good and the outside seating is great when the weather is good in Miami. Magdalena works the station with the eggs and waffles. She makes an amazing omelette. Overall the food at the catch is really good. We had the best Arepa's rellenas ever. They come filled with Guacamole and the taste is to die for. The Buffalo wings are also awesome. They are very thick and very crispy. The come with a mango sauce that taste really good but don’t forget to ask for the buffalo sauce as that too is great. The drinks here are done very well served by Tommy, Wilson and I call him T but dont remeber his name so well. They have happy hour from Monday thru Friday from 4-6pm. Just a side note if you call for Room Service, Pierre is the happiest and friendliest employee I have met. I saw him in the elevator and he greeted me and was very nice. I told him i was going to order room service and he was so happy to bring it to me. He found out it was my birthday so he threw in some cookies and milk. Just awesome!!!. I ordered the Angus burger...Wow. If it wasn't the last order of the day i would have order another one. My daughter ate half of it. Room service goes until midnight. The hotel has a decent pool and Jacuzzi. They have great lounge chairs with towels and a great bar and drinks with Sal. They also have a sun deck where you can get some great rays if you want to tan. I saw Jennifer throughout my days at the hotel and she always asked me how we were doing and if we needed anything. The Marriott is only a 10 minute drive to the beach and a short walk to Bayside Marina which is very nice. It is also a 5 minute drive to the cruise port. Next to the hotel there are a few restaurants a pharmacy, liquor store, grocery store and a hair salon. Jet Boat and some other activities are also here so you really have no way to be bored at this location. I love the room and the size of it. The bathrooms are also a good size. I do suggest the balcony rooms also. You either have a Bay View or the View of the pool both are very nice. If you have a chance to upgrade for the Concierge i would highly recommend it. The food is very good and they have soft drinks available. You also have a great view of Miami from the 26th floor.I give this property and Excellent for its cleanliness, food, location and mostly for the amazing staff they half. I will definitely be back.
Staff is very kind and location is great. Although the room we stayed on our first night didn't have a nice view, when we requested a room change the next morning, reception was very helpful and changed our room to another one with a great view.
