Completely Disappointed

I stayed at this exact property during Memorial Weekend and I enjoyed the property despite parking concerns with crowd control. I reserved the property for my birthday weekend of 11/25 - 27/16. I received an e-mail that morning advising there was a billing concern. I immediately worked to fix that and communicated it to the hotel. I was told all was now fine and I'm good to go. GREAT!While on my way to check in, I checked my e-mail for my reservation and noticed another e-mail. It said my reservation had been switched. I called to find out what was going on, only to find that I was relocated to another property further away without the same amenities in my opinion. The only explanation was the the property was "over-committed". There was NO apology, NO attempt at further explanation after having been confirmed just HOURS before and NO attempt at compensation. I was not only disappointed, but also upset.What made it worse was that I was charged by the hotel and subsequently charged at the new hotel. Since I was charged, technically my room was booked, as was previously confirmed by e-mail conversation that day; AND I should have been allowed to stay. I wouldn't have noticed it if there wasn't a notification from my bank app. The front desk clerk at the hotel I was sent to had to call to find out what was going on and then subsequently request my refund, which is still pending. My reservation was also not transferred as I had been told as well. This entire ordeal was not only inconvenient; it was disappointing and frustrating. I wont consider or recommend this property and such again for future needs because this issue literally ruined my birthday weekend plans.

Unexpected Service

I was not staying at the hotel, but attending a conference. At one point, I was sitting int he lobby between meetings, catching up on some work, when a security officer Yazdi Patel came over and offered a bottle of water. He either read my mind (I was parched) or just wanted to be helpful, but I really appreciated the gesture. I had not chosen to stay here since the place was booked and was slightly above my price-range, but next time I definitely will. Cheers, Yazdi!

15th Anniversary Pre Cruise

Excellent location to the port of Miami...Free Shuttle to South Beach Friendly Staff Nice Restaurant Walking distance to other restaurants and Publix. Near happening nightlife view of the port is amazing Hotel Smells Amazing every time we visit

I stay at this hotel quite frequently and I always look forward to seeing the friendly faces of those staff members who truly go above and beyond each and everyday. A special thanks to Victor Paez, who makes each morning and evening enjoyable with his pleasant smiles and fantastic service! I feel like I have a family away from home when I come to Miami.
