Stayed in an ocean front room and couldn't have been more pleased. Good size room and balcony. Hotel is not the newest, but it's very clean and well maintained.Staff were very friendly and helpful. I booked the room right at the reservation desk for three nights and they took the time to go through all the room options with me. Lots of deck and beach chairs, as well as towels, so it was very easy to enjoy the ocean. Will definitely go back if we are in South Florida.
The front desk staff was amazing and the one lady from housekeeping on Tuesday. This place could really use a facelift.
Do not be deceived by the photos of the pool and beach. That is the only site worth seeing. Beware of the hidden, mandatory "resort fee" ($15 per day) and valet parking fee ($20 per day) due to no guest parking available. Bathroom had mold everywhere, they made me wait an hr after posted check in time due to my room not being available then have the nerve to call me before check out time asking me to leave. I am a wyndham rewards member and will never stay at a wyndham hotel again. I am disgusted!
Price of the resort was reasonable and service was great. At first I did not have a room assigned to when I arrived to location, so I had to come back two hours later until they figured which room I was going to stay in. Furniture and carpet could use updating. The pool, bar and beach is what makes this resort. The outside of the building could also use repainting/ remodling
First of all after I booked this and read some of the reviews I knew I had make a huge mistake. So I accepted it and prepared myself. Ha! As soon as you hit the front desk they charge you $35.00 a day. 20 valet and 15 resort fee. So I get to my room and the furniture was worn, there are visible signs of aging. Stained furniture, rust and deteriorating Formica in the "kitchen " area. We had a "partial view " but the windows were so dirty you can't see much. Oh and yes they are screwed shut, probably because of all the complaints on line about rattling Windows. All this I expected after reading various reviews. Here is where I draw the line. This place may have been a resort in 1950, but my today's standards no way! There is only 2 restaurants, a buffet and a sit down. The buffet is $19.00 per person. The pool side dive good luck. I ordered some calamari and fries, horrible. I ordered a pina colada and the bartender forgot it. Mind you there were only 3 other people at the bar. The pool is always crowded without mostly seniors. So we go beachside and you have to "rent" the chairs and umbrella. $10.00 per chair and $15 both until 5pm. So here's the kicker what is the $15.00 resort fee for? The towels??? There is a pizza shop in the lower level, staff are a little short and the pizza is so so. If you are going out they suggest you call for your car. Well if you have any type of appointment please leave 1 1/2 hours early. If you call its a half hour wait, then when you come down you wait some more. Oh that reminds me, waiting for elevators is another thing. One of 3 was out of service when we checked in. So that also requires some time. At one point we were so disgusted we stayed in. The television reception is horrible, you get some good channels mostly Spanish. No wifi, forget it don't frustrate yourself. Oh and if you are sitting in the lobby watch out for the Sheetrock that is about to fall. Looks like they had a leak some time ago and instead of fixing it correctly, they just put some Sheetrock to cover it up. Here's the thing, its hanging like its about to fall. Then the checkout nightmare. We were forced to stay another night because of bad weather back home. My husband goes and speaks to the front desk a day in advance. On our original check out date, they locked us out the room. Not a problem things happen. We go down and re registered. Give our credit card and all. We go to our room to shower and get some rest when the maid knocked on my door for service. My hubby told her no were good. Well they came back 3 times!!! I was done. I have to stop because there are more incidents like this.
