OverviewThe contemporary beachfront resort Solé on the Ocean is located just north of Miami Beach, Florida, in the picturesque enclave of Sunny Isles Beach.
I absolutely love this hotel. Check in was painless and fast. My room was nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My favorite thing was the view. I stayed in the partial ocean view king and it was amazing. Next time I will get the front ocean view.
This was to be a nice stop-off on our way to Key Largo. The room had a great view, however, there was no furniture to sit on the small porch to view the ocean and that door was locked. The air-conditioning in the room did not work properly and kept switching off. The hotel is noisy because the halls are VERY narrow and you can hear anyone who is talking. The worst part was the next morning there was water on the floor. The staff was very apologetic, but getting out of bed and walking in water wasn't fun. Finally, they give you a complementary breakfast: juice, coffee, and ONE small muffin! I think it is a tease to order more food. I must say that we ended up paying nothing for the night, so the management did their best to make thing right!
From the minute we arrived the staff were dismissive. The problems then piled up:Checked in at 2pm but told the room would not be ready until 4. To save time gave credit card and were charged for the stay. Came back later and was told we needed to pay first - receptionist argued consistently we hadn't paid. Had to show an Amex confirmation before she got a manager who confirmed we had indeed paid when we checked in earlier. 2 of 3 elevators were stuck on floors. Asked why and they said one was broken and there was an event so they were using it to move stuff up and down. Asked if there were service elevators and they said they don't use them. So the other 21 floors had to use the 1 elevator. Ran a bath, water was dark green. After asking twice, someone came up and said that even though the tub is white, the walls slightly brown and the ceiling white, the green was a reflection. Even though the water was green from every tap, it was a reflection they said. (See picture to make your own decision)Tried to use the elevators at 9pm, and all 3 were stuck on floors. Again, one was still broken, and now there were two events and they were likely using them - I would have to be patient. The receptionist "could wait with me, but it won't make it go any quicker or change anything"Asked about the complimentary breakfast - "There is juice and some muffins available". As per other reviews, this is an almost exact description of the 'breakfast' - some juice and a few muffins on a table by the restaurant - which was btw not even open for lunch on the Saturday we arrived and had to wait for the room. There are so many hotels in Miami, noone needs to use this one.
the place is perfect, the views indescribable. the value of the resort fee and the parking which is kind of expensive. the cleaning of the room and more or less. do not repoe the cafe and do not put floor in the bathroom that floods qd bathe the glass of the box and only half.
I am all about the Service. And, this is so so far from being Professional. It seems like they rely on one time visitors. Major Major issue- is the elevators. They are so very slow and always full of people and maids with cleaning supplies. Which I think is inappropriate when on vacation. Basically, everything you ask for is a big problem. Breakfast that is complimentary relies to get to into the restaurant so you can order off the Menu pretty expensive and very bland food. The furniture is very run down in the restaurant, pool and beach. Absolutely, nothing like in the pictures. The room is Ok. The bed is not comfortable at all. And, the pillows are so tough. When, I asked about different pillows. First they ignored my call, then they said they have nothing else to offer. So, my neck hurts still. Will I return here? Of course not. Would I r commend this place to my friends. Of course not.
