I stayed here for 3 night's on the 27/9/17, I looked over the reviews and was dreading staying here, I was so wrong to feel that way. The staff were friendly and approachable, they spoke English to me, there was no language barrier at all. The hotel was clean, it could do with a little updating, the lift's worked no problems. The pool area was well kept. The restaurant food was very tasty and a lot of it. I enjoyed my stay here. Thank you Casablanca.
We arrived at the hotel having jumped in a cab from Miami International Airport ($40 transfer) and having just flown down from New York.Seeing as we had just spent the last 5 nights in New York, we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, with separate bedroom and living area, it felt a bit like a mini-suite.The Location was key for us, we found that the best way to get to Ocean Drive to look at the Art Deco buildings was to catch the No120 bus (costs $2.25 per person per journey) and saved us a fortune on hiring a car and having a taxi and we got to interact with some of the locals.We found the room to be clean and tidy, the kitchenette was well stocked and we cooked a meal one night with supplies purchased from the Publix Supermarket up the road. The room was quiet and we were able to get a restful nights sleep.The proximity to the beach was good, it was only a few metres outside of the hotel and had a back gate, which we were given a key for. I didn't use the pool, but the bar staff were friendly and helpful and the food isn't too expensive either (for a hotel).We were on the 9th floor and the lifts were slow to get to us, however it wasn't a massive problem, as we were able to use the stairs. All in all, it was a nice stay and we got the chance relax before going home. Not sure we would return, but that's not because of the hotel, its due to the fact we have seen all we really want to see of Miami Beach.
Stayed at the hotel after arriving in Miami before driving to Orlando. Arrived late and asked to pay resort fee. Also valet parking is not a choice if you arrive by car. My booking included the resort fee and breakfast. The following morning told i had to pay for breakfast again. Didnt want to give them anymore business so spent quite a lot at the convenience store opposite. The whole hotel has a funny smell. Like a damp smell. The lifts are poorly signposted inside. The pool looked ok but didnt have time to use. The sea view was stunning. Found the area had a lot of social deprivation. The TV cable box didnt have a remote so stuck on 1 channel. Found Miami a disappointment and will avoid based on staying in 2 seperate hotels.
The hotel looked lovely from the outside,when we got inside the staff were not very helpful.You couldn't book in until 4pm ,we arrived at 1pm,they said we could leave our luggage in a room,they couldn't find the porter for 10mins?We went to have a look around ,have a walk to the beach,when it started raining and a thunderstorm came.We had our 70 yr old mum with us and we were getting soaked and we couldn't get back in because we had no key so my son had to jump the gate to let us in,The security guard came storming over shouting at him for doing so,in front of everyone.That was the start to our holiday here,the security guard spent the next day following my 14 and 17 year old around shouting at them on every opportunity,I'd had enough and confronted him and reported him,the kids couldn't have inflatables in the pool,couldn't go near the rope,no music,no diving,no food or drink near the pool,one lady was told off for having her baby in an inflatable ring?It was constant rules.The staff in the restaurant were lovely but only 2 people on ,they were rushed off their feet.The staff need training in customer service and how to speak to customers politely.Only 2 lifts work so you were waiting ages for a lift.Would never return to this hotel.spolit the last few days of our holiday.
This place has horrible horrible customer service everyone that works at the front desk and staff needs training in customer service period! I check in on 8/17 and was told by Rafael that there would be a deposit of $150.00 and in the mist of him speaking with me the previously guest interrupted me cause she wasn't able to check in to her room because the owner didn't provide her with a key to one of the private units she paid for a room with no access to it. I inform that guess that I'm checkin and speaking with him and that was rude. So he wasn't paying attention and charge my card for $15.00. Still waiting for them remove the $15.00 pending charge which will take 7 days I was told by Amber on 8/26. Rafael then notice that he only charge $15.00 and asked if he could run my card for $135.00. He place the keys (no keycards but a actual key) on the desk and not my hand. I ask him if there was any information that I needed with my stay like most places offer to there guess when checking in the hotel like the restaurant,wifi assess beach/ pool information to welcome the guess to a pleasant stay. On my way to my room The deadbolt makes it hard to open the door! This hotel is extremely extremely NASTY the carpet in room 915 this first room that I was originally I check into which was incorrect because the room that I reserved was suppose to be with tile it was with carpet in which it had stains on the floor as if a pet has pee in the carpet!! Further more the hotel sheets where so WORN OUT that if you pull on the sheets hard enough that they would split. The water in the shower ran COLD!!! I tried calling down to the front desk the phone didn't work. At this point I thought that I was on the TV show What Would You Do or even Punk'd. I immediately contact my travel agent to let her no that this wasn't acceptable and everything was completely horrible!!!! She called down on my behalf to have my room change and the hotel was completely book for the night. The following day my agent called and told me that a new room had became available and for me to come down stairs. I explain to the man that was working at the front desk on the 8/18 and inform him the my travel agent has called on my behalf and that this room didn't meet my standards and that I need to change rooms Immediately! He in return tells me that no one has called on my behalf and he didn't receive of talk to anyone he asked his co worker if anyone spoke with some one and my room 915 and tells his coworkers " she wants to change rooms because he room doesn't meet her standards whatever that means there's no hot water or whatever" and that I can take the key to room 614 to see if this room meets "my standards" he tried to call the security guard to take me to the room be he wasn't available. So he gave me the key to check the room out once we got to the room the door was already open guess from house keeping this room was much nicer better sheets better comfort on the mattress hot water. After we move our things to the new room water outside of the hotel and notice the free trolley in which that would've been something to mention once we first arrived at the front desk once checked in. We walk the beach and notice the were NO beach chairs nor umbrellas in which is something you would expect to come along with the resort fees besides dirty stain, faded beach towels and pool towels when we came. After we came from the beach to the room the power was off I called down stairs twice the line was busy. Too let them know the power was out the young lady response was that she was busy !?! I explain that the power was out in the room and she stated that someone was on they way up when the maintenance guy came up he had a attitude because we didn't notice the fuse box behind the door which wasn't my job to notice it. We left out for the evening for dinner and came back a black shadow ran by my foot I thought it was a rat but it was actually a dog! I never been more eager to leave and go back home!!! This hotel will make a Econo Lodge or Motel 6( never stayed at either) look like the RITZ CARLTON!!! Stand Clear Please you've been warned!!!!
