They do it RIGHT!

Great friendly service at every turn-from Sophia at front desk, Karen & Maria at WET, Eddie at The Dutch, Guillermo & Vicki at Concierge desk. All great!!! The only issue we had was they closed the pool early for a party and then with the weather, the party didn't happen.

Amazing staff, tired property

I stayed here for a work conference. The staff from check in to check out were great. There was a bellman that saw that I was lost trying to find the spa. Instead of just telling me how to get there, he was kind enough to show me. I had room 520. I would avoid if possible. There is a separate toilet and unfortunately when you open the door it smells like a public restroom. I asked to have it cleaned again, but I think there was something more to it. In addition, there was a pet in this room before me and I am allergic. This hotel does allow pets of course. I asked to change rooms and Braulio was very helpful in changing my room which was much better. I didn't have any issues with room 320.This hotel also has a club. If you stay on that side of the hotel you can hear it all night long.The carpet in the hallways definitely need to be replaced. The couches in the rooms aren't something that you would want to sit on. They were stained with who knows what. This property is tired and could use some refreshing on the interior.

Excellent location and unbeatable location

We stayed there for two nights since it was my best friend's birthday. They had an amazing decoration in the room and a very nice detail from the Pool Hostess Jamie, Raquel, and Jason for her birthday! The room had an amazing view and the whole staff was very attentive!

AVOID, iF YOU ARE GOING FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION, Go to another hotel that will make a effort

Started with the hurricane week booked, we then had to change dates, as no flights from Uk,but hotel wouldnt do this until 3 days before .Had to spend ,a lot of time and money on phone, trying to get them to understand BUT WHERE VERY RUDE, and unsympathetic.Paid EXTRA to have sea view, but was put at far back, even though hotel staff advised hotel was quite. Apparently if you pay and book for a sea view, they only have to give you a 25% sea view. Advised at least 5 times before visit, that it was a Honeymoon, and was assured they make it special. Absolutly Nothing, no greetings, no congratulations, no complimentry items in room . Previously spoke to customer service,Manager, and other member of staff, of of which where very rude, and never done anything even though they said they would. Extremmly expensive, water $17 a bottle!!!. Complained to CEO at Marriott twice, who sent the complaint to Emillio, who after discussion, advised he could only give starwood points as compensation, but wouldnt give points for the stay, as he said it was a special price!! I think paying £1000 for 3 days, is alot of money, and warrants some points.. Didnt seem to find out why the hotel did nothing, wasnt really bothered in finding out, the points given where minimal, and it needs alot more stays in a W hotel to get a free night. The hotel building itself is beautiful, and some staff where lovely, but if you have a problem, then BEWARE they do not take any notice of you , CRAP CUSTOMER SERVICE, ESPECIALLY THE RESERVATIONS TEAM, there are many other hotels to stay in Miami, do yourself a favour and book somewhere else, as they are a big let down

Like staying in a nightclub

Stayed here for 9 nights. Great location on the beach and 5 blocks away from Lincoln Road Mall. The service was attentive around the pool and on the beach although it was too fussy at times - As I managed to get myself to Miami, I'm pretty sure I can be trusted to pour my own wine! The rooms are luxurious and have great views. The cons are that this hotel is very over-priced (although all similarly starred and located properties in South Beach are I suspect) and for someone approaching 50 I felt like I was living in a nightclub as the reception area was dark and the hotel played loud, inane clubby music which could be heard in my room all day and beyond 4:00 am on some nights. I don't like night clubs and so I didn't enjoy the vibe of the place although others may love it! I didn't eat in either hotel restaurant. I did eat around the pool. The food was nothing special and in keeping with everything about this place, overpriced. I wouldn't recommend their green package, where you agree to have your room serviced on fewer occasions. I had to chase concierge to get the room serviced each time which was a pain. The mini bar prices were eye wateringly high. There were 2 TVs in the room but every time I switched the one opposite the bed on (or off) the other would come on at a really loud volume and so I had to get out of bed to switch it off. All first world problems but they detracted from my enjoyment of my stay. Wouldn't return.
