Myself, mum and sister stayed here leading up to Christmas for the week. We shared a double twin room which comfortably fitted all three of us ( all fully grown adults) and our luggage. The room was spotless, the beds comfortable and bathroom very clean and user friendly. Any needs we had such as extra toiletries or towels were immediately brought straight to our room. It was the perfect location. Opposite Penn station so we had easy access to the whole city. We also liked that we were not staying in the middle of times square, just one stop away on the subway however, so close enough. Macy's and the empire state building were a short 5 minute walk away and surrounding the hotel is plenty of amazing delis and resurants to cater for everyone at anytime of day. We will definatly be coming back soon.

#1 in customer service - location is grand and so is the staff

CARL is the man!! He is the baggage check and concierge master! He and his team were wonderful and accommodating while we waited for our room to be ready. Carl offered complimentary drinks and also suggested a GREAT little diner called Friedmans that was just about a 30 second walk. The rooms are clean and the layout is just like home; a small kitchen, a large enough bathroom, table, chairs, desk, etc. all with a modern look/feel. The window opens some to allow fresh air (I HATE hotels that do not allow the windows to open even a little bit). Overall a great hotel and will definitely stay again when in NYC. Hope to arrive to find Carl still there - what a pleasure this staff was!!!

Great Experience

I had an all around great experience at the Stewart Hotel. The location is phenomenal and the rooms are best value I've ever had in NYC. Nice and clean with plenty of space for a reasonable rate. I also checked in early and William at the front desk was very helpful in getting me set up with everything I needed. Thanks for the great customer service William!

Comfortable and friendly hotel experience in NYC

We are a family of 5 who stayed here for 4 nights in early July.We loved it. The greeting we got from Andrew was first class, friendly and very welcoming. We had been traveling for 16hrs and had arrived before our check in time. Andrew got us into our room early, got us an upgraded room and got us some water/drinks and snacks for the kids. Very welcome and much needed. We were here to see New York so we weren't in the hotel too much. It did give us everything we needed in terms of a comfortable bed and good shower and free wifi kept the kids happy. I would agree with some reviewers that some aspects of the hotel could do with an upgrade. However, we have since stayed in a more plush, higher end hotel that was not as welcoming and,although service was efficient, lacked warmth and personality. We say bravo Stewart Hotel. Keep your great people and continue with the warm welcome.

Great Staff and location

Great spot and great staff. Very helpful extending our stay and keeping us in the same room. Good location with shows at MSG. Stayed New Years run for Phish and Bakers Dozen. Phriendly to the Phans. Will stay again and thanks Will at the front desk!!
