Highly recommended

I am just back a couple of days from NYC and really wanted to take the time to write this review as we had such a great stay! First off there was 3 of us that went and 2 of us had big birthdays (50th and 60th). Upon arrival we were bowled over by the beautiful decor in the lobby and most of all the location was unreal as it was just opposite MSG! We were upgraded to a bigger suite which was on the 14th floor and a corner room by Omar who was really charming and so nice. We couldn't believe it when he also sent a bottle of champagne to our room after we checked in, so sweet and thoughtful and really started our trip off on a fantastic note so I hope he sees this and also the management as he is a great addition to your business. We were so impressed. In regards to our room we had a lovely big bedroom with a queen bed with en suite. Along with a big seating area with a pull out sofa bed which was comfy and an another bathroom. The kitchenette area was a nice addition! As we were on 14th floor the noise wasn't as bad as expected but after all it is New York so it's not completely silent :-)Overall I would highlight recommend this hotel!!

Excellent Customer Service!

Four hours of pain travelling from LaGuardia Airport. Two hours of traffic Traffic, then our shuttle hit a BMW and things got worse from there. Eugenia checked me in. She is great. Very happy, very helpful and turned the day around for me. Thank you Eugenia!!

New Management

Excellent stay at the Stewart ( formerly Affinia Manhattan ) with a refreshed attitude brought about by new management. This property is one of the hidden gems of Midtown with a convenient location and lots of speedy elevators, big rooms with kitchenettes and outdoor terraces are an added bonus. The front desk is fast and most welcoming - especially Jenny and Margaret, who are always ready to help. Highly recommended.

WOW!!!! This place is amazing! The staff is incredible and the accommodations are perfect. Let me start at the beginning...This hotel is perfectly positioned at Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. I had been staying at another hotel 6 blocks away that was disgusting, but all I could get last minute on a holiday weekend in NYC. I found this hotel on Groupon and with the deal it was $50 less per night! Score!The Hotel just changed their name, owners and management as of 30 days ago. Because of this, it had no reviews so I was a bit concerned, but was relatively sure it had to be better than where we were staying. So glad I took the risk. When we arrived (my two girls and myself) we were greeted by Eugenia and Andrew at the front desk. They were attentive, friendly and both very sweet. There was some glitch with Groupon and our reservation was not booked. * Side note This was a Groupon issue and Groupon has taken care of the problem since. They assured me they could accommodate us. They were still able to find us a room with two double beds for my girls and I. At this point we were laughing and I was on hold with Groupon and they felt bad for my inconvenience. The next thing I know they had rebooked us into a 2 bedroom 3 bath suite with a full kitchen! The suite had a balcony with amazing views of the city! This was completely unnecessary but so appreciated! While I was at the corner or the checkin desk, I watched them assist many guests. Many they greeted by name and every person left that desk with a smile as well as a positive interaction. At one point the manager had come down to assist in another situation and made it a point to apologize to me about my Groupon issue. I'm so glad she did , because it gave me an opportunity to rave to her about her staff!Eugenia personally walked us up to the suite to show us and took great care to make sure we were taken care of. The hotel was beautiful, clean and exceptionally staffed. I will use this as a first choice every time I am in the city! Such a great experience for our last night in the city ❤️️

Sweet 16 in New York

We had a wonderful stay at the Stewart Hotel. We arrived by train at 10am and were able to check-in immediately. I had booked a standard room and we were upgraded to a mini-suite which was fabulous for my family of 4. I wish I knew the gentleman's name who checked us in, because he deserves a mention, he was polite and helpful. He upgraded us and gave us the early check-in all at no charge. It was so nice to be able to take our bags right to our room and freshen up a bit before heading out to explore the city.I mentioned that we were there to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday and when we arrived back that evening, we had 2 birthday balloons in the room, a super sweet touch.The room was bright and clean. The bathroom was tiny, but fine for our one night and we had a small kitchen which we didn't use, except to chill some water bottles. We were on the 5th floor and we never heard a bit of noise from the hotel, but we heard lots of outside New York noise throughout the night, i.e., honking horns and sirens, but it didn't bother us. We enjoyed the ringing church bells at 7am. We checked out early on my daughter's 16th birthday and were helped by Margaret. She helped us get our bags stowed for the day by a kind gentleman who sang Happy Birthday to my daughter and then there was another kind employee who took my daughter to the snack area and let her pick a few birthday treats to start her day. She walked out with a New York candy bar and some cookies, again, super sweet service!We would definitely stay here again. The hotel is so convenient to Penn Station, it was great to just walk across the street to the hotel. It was a short walk to Times Square and Broadway. There were plenty of places in the area to eat. I booked a room on black Friday and was very happy with the price. Service was great, all employees seemed to care and they made our stay great!
