It was our first time in the Usa and the Amsterdam Court Hotel was perfect for us.. The People where friendly and the room and location was perfect.. Big s/o to Jennifer she help us a lot and she was very friendly! The only feedback for this hotel was the WiFi.. No WiFi in the rooms only in the loby
This was a last minute hotel for my boyfriend and I, but we seemed to enjoy our stay. The second we got there the bellhop assisted us with our bags after our Uber driver failed to do so and that was very appreciated! We were able to check in a little early for no fee so that was a big plus as well. It was a super tiny room and a little cramped but that was expected. It was also clean for the most part. On our last day, our shower didn’t have any hot water so I called up the front desk and they were able to fix it in no time. My favorite thing about this hotel was most definitely the location. You can step right out and see basically all of Times Square. Very, very convenient! I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Electronic glitch booked my room on the wrong night and the hotel refused to switch it, even though it was obvious I had every intent of staying at the hotel and was not going to arrive on the glitched date. I was able to backend rebook for the correct date, and stayed there a few days later, but their lack of reason in working with me to correct the problem left a bad taste in my mouth.
What's not to like about this hotel? From the Front Desk staff, immaculate rooms, breakfast and location just a few minutes walk from Times Square...everything about our stay here was fantastic. The staff felt like they were our friends from day 1 and Susan one of the front desk members of staff was particularly welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We booked 2 Deluxe Double rooms as we have teenage boys and the rooms were extremely larger than a usual NYC hotel. The Bottle of Wine and card left in our room for my Birthday was a very thoughtful touch from the hotel.Fantastic, clean and affordable....we will definitely return in the future.
Starting off positive, the hotel is in an ideal location, just down from times square. Short walk from Central Park and straight down the road from the Rockerfeller centre. The hotel itself was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Staying in New York during the blizzard we were hoping that the room would be warm which is definitely was, however as the room was so small and the heating on high all the time the room became unbearable especially at night, we also returned back one day to find no heating and no hot water in the room. Not ideal when you want a warm bath to heat yourself up after being outside in the freezing temperatures. There seemed to be no middle, either too hot or cold in the room. The room itself was way too small with no room to move once you'd put your suitcases in. When checking out we were told to book an airport shuttle rather than getting a taxi, advised by the hotel it would be cheaper at only $53 however when we got the shuttle we were yelled at by a rude driver and ended up paying nearly $80, it also took over 1 hour to get away from the Times square area, I'm not sure if it's a miscommunication between the shuttle company and the hotel but we didn't appreciate being told the wrong figure and yelled at because of it. We won't be staying at the hotel again.
