Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan
- What's Included
We had the most amazing time while staying at this hotel over the Easter holidays. The rooms were spacious and warm, we were extremely comfortable the whole duration. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and clean. The check in on arrival was quick and we were very happy with our room, the food in the Broadway restaurant was very nice .
Had 5 nights here and hotel itself is ok. Fantastic views of Times Square (if you pay extra), rooms are average size for NYC although the beds are really comfortable. All staff were extremely helpful when needed. Food and drink is expensive but then you are paying for the location. One piece of advice, this hotel charges a "resort fee" of $30 a night. Not being Americans we thought this was a standard charge for all hotels, this is not the case. The charge is not negotiable so be aware before booking and read the small print.
From start to finish hands down the best stay we've had in NYC. Staff was very friendly and professional. The requests that we had were handled in a very timely fashion. The room itself was very clean and nice with exceptional window views. After leaving, we realized that we had accidentally left our you sons favorite blanket in the room. I called and spoke to Sylvia Geronimo who is a Manger at the Crowne Plaza and she personally saw to getting this "very" important blanket from the room before it ended up disappearing. She also personally contacted me to tell me the good news and make arrangements to get the blanket overnighted to us. Hotel in itself was exceptional. The fact that Sylvia took time out of her day to ensure our sons blanket was returned was just the cherry on top of the cake. From here on out when we're in NYC we'll be staying at the Crowne Plaza.
Comfortable room and great location for Metro access to the various sites. The dining options worked well and there are also some fine restaurants within a few blocks. The hotel staff was very acommodating and very pleasant. Ana and Valerie in the main dining area were exceptional with their sincere effort to make us feel welcome. Also, a first class health club.
Just come back from a weeks stay at The Crowne Plaza. Hotel approx 45-50 min from JFK depending on traffic and a breath away from Times Square. Reception area busy and bright. Rooms a little tired and definitely in need of a refurb for the prices charged but housekeeping staff very attentative. On the downside, they charge a resort tax which we were not told about so was a little shocked to get an invoice for $210 dollars for a weeks stay on the day of departure. Be warned also that there are bus ride touts literally camped out on the doors steps of the hotel which can be a little overwhelming as there approach can feel a little aggressive. I'm surprised the hotel has not addressed this. The hotel is well positioned for access to the Empire State Building, theatres and Central park if you do not mind walking.
