A Good Hotel for Tourists - Bit Noisy for a Business Stay

Have stayed here a few times, most recently in Mid October. Folks in the hotel are very nice. It is a busy tourist hotel, not a place for a quiet business stay. This is as you might expect given it's location near Times Square. Had a couple of issues with a clogged sink and the bathroom vanity not being very clean at check in. All was nicely handled by staff.

Fall Trip to NYC 🍎😘!!

The hotel location is awesome! You have Time Square a few minutes up and the subway 🚇 around the corner. The room was very nice and the bed was comfy. They have a cafe in the lobby if you want to grab something to go. I would suggest if you want a view ask for anything above the 15th floor.

Anniversary Adventure

From the moment we checked in, our 5 day stay was fantastic. It was obvious that creating a positive customer experience was job 1 and they delivered. The breakfast team really did a great job starting our day with a warm welcome and great food. Our room was clean and comfortable. Huge thank you to all our friends at the Crowne Plaza in Times Square.

Satisfactory but barely

Stayed here for 7 nights recently with my elderly mum. Location on Time Square is the hotel's main attraction. Our room located on floor 26 (2 double beds) was spacious although the room itself could do with an update i.e. carpets and furniture drastically need upgrading. The room itself is dark (even with 3 lamps on). The bathroom door wouldn't shut fully cause the door doesn't fit the doorframe. The taps/faucets were leaking after use and the standalone mirror was rusty. Overall it didn't bother us too much but faults like this are noticeable from a first impression of the accommodation. Room was cleaned daily and tea/coffee facilities were welcome. Receptionist was very helpful when I called seeking assistance. Restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch. "What no evening meals to enjoy the ambience to Time Square???". Sorry no you have to avail of bar menu. "Ahh FFS we might as well ramble out to a restaurant or bring back food to our room". Every time we exited the hotel we were ambushed by bus sales reps - not the fault of the hotel but it affects your mindset regarding location of the hotel. My main impression is that this hotel caters for mainly short term visitors.

Service not great here

The location was great - super close to Times Square but if it's first trip to NYC I think I would stay near Central Park instead. Way more interesting things to see as your hoofing it. This hotel is about a mile to the park so we walked there anyway but I feel like I couldn't have taken in Times Square in two hours or toddled down for one day/night to see a show and been good. Wouldn't recommend setting up shop here. The hotel was okay but staff didn't really care about our stay and didn't seem knowledgeable about hotel grounds and amenities. We called to asked about early check in and was told about 1p would be okay. We got there at 2p and was told otherwise. No early check ins possible and told to come back at 3p. Called down to see if we could bring a drink to the pool. Transferred three times because no one knew the answer. We gave up waiting. We had a loud horn type noise that would go off periodically from the vent in our bathroom. It was so loud we assumed a fire alarm was going off. This thing went off several times early AM our first morning. We were exhausted and figured it was a fluke so we kept ignoring and going back to sleep after it shut off. When we returned to our hotel mid evening it continued. The front desk took no action on call 1. Called again an hour later and was told someone would be right up. Nope. We left for the evening and ran into security on the way and played a video of the noise. He laughed and said engineering would have to come up - we would need to wait. Or we could just try calling again when we returned. What a hassle. Never resolved the noise issue for us. Also I left some keys in the room and no one seems interested in helping us locate them. Called several times and was being told to just try back later. No offer to check with housekeeping or help a guest stressed out about items left behind. Still waiting but I think I'm just better off to head to the dealership and get a new car key. Not interested in staying at Crowne Plaza chain again.
