This fine hotel with it’s giant atrium and revolving sky high restaurant is a must see in New York. Also has a restaurant on the 8th floor checkin with an excellent view ofTimes Square. Terrific location for Broadway theaters.
This hotel is perfectly located for your visit to New York. We were on the 15th floor so not the best views over the city. However, the revolving bar and restaurant on the 42 floor is outstanding. Clean rooms and excellent services. 👍
Stayed at this hotel for a medical conference--it couldn't have possibly been more convenient for our after-conference plans, which included shows at theatres which all happened to be within 2-3 blocks' distance! We didn't have to take a cab once! Our room was on the 27th floor, looking west toward 8th Ave, had a great view. Bed was extremely comfortable. Although we didn't eat in the hotel restaurants, room service was good and the food provided at my conference was excellent. Room cost was a bit pricey for us midwesterners, but for midtown Manhattan, it was quite reasonable, and what we saved in cab fare definitely made up for it! Overall, a very nice place to stay, comfortable, clean, convenient--would absolutely stay here again.
The hotel was nice, the staff were great, blah, blah, blah. you get it, right? Here was my problem: they were not able to honor my request for an early check in (so had to check in regular time, 4 pm) If your hotel is so busy, don't even suggest that early check in will be possible. Also, the elevators were a nightmare. I was on the 34th floor, so maybe that had something to do with it. But, at one point trying to get to the street it took nearly 15 minutes for an elevator. Give me a break. i have no idea whether some of the elevators were not working, but the idea of planning ahead for elevator traffic is ridiculous. And, nearly every car was packed. If a suggestion box was handy i'd recommend to them they investigate some way to regulate elevator traffic better.Otherwise, yes, nice rooms, and drinks and snacks in the restaurant area were very good. And, let's be clear: this is NEW YORK. The location of the hotel is the best, and even the $75 parking seemed okay for the convenience (less expensive parking is nearby, but the car drop off was quick and they returned the car in good shape the next morning).
At the heart of the city, right by Times Square and Broadway, location is the strongest selling point of this hotel. If you’re in town for business or pleasure, or if you’re looking for a base to explore more widely, this is a great spot with Subway and rail stations just a short walk or cab ride away. The look of the hotel inside is really impressive too. Fast glass lifts, with landings opening onto balconies, give some stunning views of the interior. The 23rd floor glass fronted gym, of a good standard, also has great views of the city.Restaurant and bar service was excellent, and every contact I had with the staff at the hotel was first class.
