Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel
- What's Included
I have stayed at this hotel several times over many years. The location is great - a short walk to Times Square, Rockefeller Center and Central Park. Close to the B and D trains for easy access to Brooklyn, etc.It is time for rooms to be updated. In our room the wallpaper was coming away from the wall and air vents were covered in dust. The room didn't feel dirty, but it did feel grimy.. and just old.I want to love this hotel again, but rooms need attention.
It is amazing hotel! Close to everywhere. Pretty quiet , with all necessary things as luggage check, Libby bar , helpful staff and doirmens , easy transportation to everywhere , a lot of quick elevators
Just returned from a great stay at the Sheraton. We stayed on 45th floor, room was perfect for myself and 2 teenagers, bathroom small but spotlessly clean, housekeeping did a great job with room everyday. Great location close to so many things and subway right beside. No problem with lift never waited more than 2 mins, found all staff we interacted with helpful, especially guest services. Would recommend.
What was supposed to be a pleasant trip turned into disappointing trip due to such poor service and facilities.Upon arriving to the hotel (which like most reviews are right in that the hotel is covered in scaffolding that some reviews have reported being there for a very long time) we checked in to our room. The room we were promised was a club room however they gave us a superior room instead which upon first impressions was ok - a bit small for 4 people but it was ok! The only issue was the wifi wouldn't allow all four of us to connect. After heading out to explore we came back to the room and had a message on the phone to call guest relations who offered us an upgrade. After going down to reception and speaking with the manager we agreed on a price of $80 per night to upgrade and that was to be inclusive of all taxes and charges and they even asked me to sign as so we would have no nasty surprises upon checkout. The room they allocated us for the upgrade was only ok- the facilities in the room were quite poor and the shower kept flooding the floor which made it very wet and even after telling housekeeping it was never resolved. The second part of the room they allocated was a big disappointment and we were kept waiting and lied to leading to us not accessing the room until very late due to poor communication between the house keeping department and reception.Even when we were able to get into the room the room had not been cleaned through and caused even further delays. The lounge on the 44th floor was ok - quite small for the amount of people who want to use and the staff up there can be very hit or miss. Some of them are very rude like other reviews I've seen on here. The lifts are not as bad as people have made out but I can see how frustrating it can be if you use them at peak times as they can get very crowded.I would appreciate someone from the hotel getting back to me as they have over charged my card and I would like to speak to them regarding getting this issue resolved!Over all would I stay at this hotel again? NoWould I recommend it? No Does the hotel staff care about its guests? No
We stayed 5 nights in March with our two kids. The service was fantastic. Linda K. was very attentive and created an overall nice experience at the bar. Mike Wu made our check in smooth and set up us with a great week in NYC. Our requests were accommodated quickly and effectively. This hotel is in a great location...so close to Tines Square, Rockefeller Center, subway access, and Hell's Kitchen. We would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to NYC.
