Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel
- What's Included
Stayed at the Sheraton Monday to Friday. The room was lovely, really appreciated the Starbucks coffee in the room. It kept very clean by the room attendants they were lovely ladies, real characters and nothing was to much trouble. After reading a lot of the other reviews regarding the lifts being confusing, well I just don't get it I personally thought it was a good system that worked well. The only negative I have on the hotel is that the lobby is soo busy with people on there phones getting the free wifi. But it's New York everywhere is busy. You cannot beat the location of the hotel it's perfect. We would definitely return to the Sheraton in the future
Good hotel in great location everything is just a walk away . Remember you've got to be willing to do lots of walking and it's worth it . Shame the hotel put noisey students next to us and we had to tell them to be quiet at 2-3-4 in the morning. We did t let that spoil this holiday for us . We are all ready planning next years trip and it will be definitely when NY Rangers play at MSG 2 great visits there 👍! Loads to do and see in NYC ' luv the place me & my family
Great location and good service -- nice rooms that are comfortable ...one nit is that there was a bit of mold in the bathroom sink... I only noticed because I have allergies to mold and I reacted. It was in the wall of the sink that helps drain... need to thoroughly clean sinks!
This is a gigantic older hotel in the Time Square area. The room I stayed in was smaller but in nice condition from an apparent renovation within a few years. I was on one of the club floors and the morning and evening club offerings were very nice, Great breakfast, happy hour snacks that are enough of you had a big lunch or maybe having something later or you're type who doesn't over-eat when traveling. Staff was polite and competent, so really no complaints.
Spent 5 nights at this Sheraton while working Toy Fair. Pros – Excellent location. Room was most quiet. We were on the 48th floor which afforded some nice views. Room was adequate in size. Staff most professional and nice. Bathroom amenities nice with plush towels, etc.Cons – Bathroom quite small and NO towel racks. The available outlets were on lamp bases and mostly inoperative as my plugs would either not stay in or would only “work” with the plug inserted only about half-way. All the lamps’ outlets were in a fashion where I could not plug in anything for a USB plug as the USB port would be on the underside (I had three USB plugs). I finally propped a lamp sideways so that my cords could connect to the plugs. Both beds were HARD; mine dipped in the middle – the first night’s sleep was not good. We asked for egg crate toppers or something similar. Second night, we could tell something had been placed on the beds – it seemed to be a thin mattress pad – no help at all. Both of us then asked for additional pillows and why and we each used six pillows (they weren’t fluffy) to place on top of the mattress and lay on them – made our own “pillow top” you might say. Not the best but certainly better.Flight was at 2pm so we needed to check luggage for about 2 hours after check-out. We each had a roll-on with a second small matching piece which slipped over the handle. Both pieces easily rolled and slipped into their luggage storage area (there are shelves above for smaller items). There was no need to separate the two pieces and we could see they did not do so. The hotel charges $4 per item to store – even though we expected to each be charged for two items, it just didn't seem right to be charged $8 for what was one small unit. All said, we’d stay here again – too many positives especially the location.
