Warwick New York Hotel
- What's Included
Great for a break. Every place felt like 'just round the corner' from the hotel. Friendly and very helpful staff. The rooms were big with humongous and comfy beds . We'll definitely stay there again .
I took myself and my kids (13,15,17) to New York City for a long weekend. We had booked a room with two doubles, but were able to upgrade to a premier suite. We definitely appreciated the extra room when we were all there. The room was immaculately clean, I was even impressed with how clean the bathroom was(I'm usually not a fan of hotel bathrooms!)Only a few blocks from Times Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, and the subway was a few blocks away, which we took down to see the 911 Memorial, Staten Island ferry etc.We didn't eat at the hotel, we were usually out for lunch and dinner. Dunkin' Donuts is just around the corner, quick snack to start the day as we went out.The lobby staff was very helpful with directions and subway tips, and the bellhops out front were very cheerful and helpful. The elevators are tiny, and sometimes you have to wait a few minutes for one. Not a big deal, it might give you a moment to rest in the busy city!
Quiet hotel close to everything we wanted to see. 1 block from 5th avenue shops, 4 blocks from central park, 5-6 blocks from Times Square and Broadway shows. Subway stops 2-3 blocks. The room was clean and well appointed. Bathroom and supplies were nice. No coffee maker in room, however, there was a placard that housekeeping would bring one upon request. For the most part, elevators were quick and there was never a problem with crowds in the lobby or restaurants. We had breakfast vouchers for Murals restaurant and this was quiet good and a great way to start the day. It was buffet style with plenty of warm choices along with fruits, cheeses, etc.The staff was always friendly. Housekeeping was on top of things and always had the room taken care of by mid afternoon.I would recommend for couples, families, really anyone wanting a hotel that is a cut above your Marriott, Holiday Inn, etc. without the cost of many of the higher end NYC hotels. This hotel has a great history (as I know many do in NYC). We never heard a sound from the outside world once we stepped inside.
Stayed here August first week for 7 nights. Participating at a show at the Hilton this was a super convenient place. The hotel is old and does not look much from the outside however once inside the reception is friendly and welcoming. We checked in nearly 2 AM in the morning and it was buzzing outside and Shaun the guy at the reception was super friendly. Rooms are amazingly big ( we got the larger rooms ) but friends who had checked in earlier had pretty small rooms compared to us and had we stayed in those we would have requested a change. Depends on how long one is staying. My room was on the 16th floor - 1612 I think and another friends was on the 14th floor. His was much bigger than mine. Dont know what criteria there is but do keep an eye out when booking. Views are good from some and from some rooms nothing. This is a standard with hotels across NY. The beds are super comfortable and I had excellent sleep all 7 nights. TV works fine and the bathroom is very clean and functional. Nothing I could fault with the room. Air Con works super. Location is as good as it gets. A 7-8 minute walk and you are at the times square. The rockfellar center is behind the hotel and the MOMA as well. Its a no brainer really. I shall be a regular in this one from now on. Breakfast was $40.00 and we chose to eat out as there are a million places outside.
This is a pleasant and comfortable hotel near theaters and Central Park. The room was well appointed, had plenty of outlets (including USB) and plenty of light. This is a nice choice for theater goers because it is out from the hubbub of Times Square yet only a short walk away. Good subway access as well. Also very convenient to Lincoln Center. There are lots of parking garages in the area, but it is worth comparing prices because they vary greatly.
