Warwick New York Hotel
- What's Included
This was my second visit to the Warwick. I went back because I liked the staff so much. This time I stayed one week and every single encounter was 5-star. Obviously the culture is such that each and every staff member is courteous, friendly, helpful, personal, and goes above and beyond. Bravo to leadership for creating and nourishing this environment.
My teenager daughter and I enjoyed our stay here. The staff are professional, helpful, courteous and approachable. My favorites are the doormen! It was a delight coming in and out of the hotel. They were always helpful with getting a cab or directions to where we were going. House keeping was great, although I didn't meet any of them, our room was always tidy. The hotel is located near so much. It's walking distance from Times Square, The Late Show, Broadway, 30 Rock and the Empire State (which was a little longer walk, but it's so much to see in the the city the walk doesn't feel long at all). I highly recommend the restaurant/bar there, Rudolph's...food is SO goooood and the staff there treated us great, they were attentive. The only downsize was the view from our room...there was none. It would be a good idea to ask about the view before booking. It wasn't that we didn't have a view, I didn't care what I saw out of my window since we were on the move every day we were in NY, but it was that there was absolutely NO light coming through our bedroom window. Which means at noon we needed the lamps on to see anything because it always looked like night time in our room. The hotel is an older structure that can use a few fixes, with a tiny elevator. but it adds to the charm. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there.
Excellent location for anyone looking to do the "typical tourist stuff" like shopping, a Broadway show, a tour of the city etc. The hotel was quiet, clean and well run. Polite, helpful staff. Within walking distance of Times Square, Broadway, etc. There are a few supermarkets/diners just a few minutes walk away which is also very convenient.
Elegant and well cared for 1930's hotel. Staff very professional and attentive. Room was on 8th floor above the traffic noise but builders on tower block over street quite noisy early in the morning. Good breakfast but very expensive - many much cheaper shops nearby.Thank you for 4 very comfortable nights staying NYC
After moving from NYC, we were really always looking for a hotel that worked for us for business and pleasure. The Warwick New York nailed it. At Sixth Avenue and E. 54th Street, you are away from the congestion of Times Square but still convenient to 7th Avenue subways and Fifth Avenue shopping. The hotel is a beautiful older building and lovely. Built by W.R. Hearst for Marion Davies, it is nicely understated. Our room had a bathroom that was a bit small, but keeping in line with the age of the building. All was clean. We did not eat in Murals restaurant but it looked bustling and the Randolph's bar looked to be a welcoming place to have a drink. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Giving us umbrellas for the rain, assisting with lugguage, early check-in, etc. This will be our NYC hotel from here on.
