Central to all the fun!

The Westin New York at Times Square is a wonderful, tranquil oasis in a busy place. 33 floors up you are in heaven, as we were looking out over New Jersey. The room was a good size for me and my friend, and the bathroom even had a bath, perfect for soaking our aching feet! I loved that it was so central to all that we wanted to do, with hop on hop off tourist buses, as well as city buses and the subway.

Great Starwood Property in the Heart of Broadway

This hotel has fantastic front office staff! It is in a great location and you can easily walk to Hardrock. Carmines, and Broadway shows. The price was right for a Manhattan hotel and the amenities were consistent with other Westin properties. I would recommend this for both business as well as pleasure trips.

Stay at Westin Times Square

Excellent location - convenient for my business meetings and relaxation later on. Good service. Rooms and amenities are good. The restaurant (Furnace) is decent, though the menu could be expanded. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

ACP Business Trip

The stay was good overall. However, I was charged for the incidental charges twice a few hours apart, of which the second charge without my authorization. I had called the Express Service and did not get a return call for explanation. I asked the customer service at the front desk for the reason of the second charge being processed without my authorization. A male customer service named Edison gave a few round around reasons and finally said that the second charge would be rescinded with bad attitude, which is not acceptable. At the end, the second charge was not rescinded and no explanation was given.

Not the best hotel I've stayed at

There are some great things about this hotel and there are some not so good things as well. It's a superb location to access everything in NY. My wife and myself walk everywhere and will quite happily walk 15 miles in a day so we didn't use any public transport. On arrival we were able to check in about 11.30am and our room was ready which was great after a long flight from the U.K. However we were not given any information regarding wifi, room charges etc, it appeared to us that you are expected to know these things and we didn't. We booked a premium room and we were on the 29 floor. For a premium room it was quite small with only one armchair when there were 2 of us. The room was clean and the bathroom was large but the shower leaked and on our last day there was no hot water. Sony buy any snacks or drinks from the room as they are just so expensive, buy them outside in the supermarkets etc. The concierge and doormen were superb and so helpful but please remember to tip. Overall the Westin in Times Square is a superb location with some great benefits but outweighed by the other issues highlighted. Would I stay there again? Good question and I'm not sure I can answer that!!!!
