Bahama Bay Resort
- What's Included
My husband and I stayed here for three nights this week, we stayed in building 4, the apartment was very clean. The appliances did need updating but worked fine. The added bonus was the washer and dryer. I loved the fact that it was fairly quiet with a great little pool right by the building. There were lots of pools to choose from. The price was very good. We stayed in a 2 bed 2 bath apartment. We wanted somewhere not too far from the airport but away from downtown Orlando and the parks. This resort fit the bill nicely. I didn't try the restaurant or the bar so can't comment on that. I did get a pedicure at the spa, a bit pricey but very nice.I would definately stay here again!
Booked this property with a confirmed early check in and was told by DANNY that there was no such thing. I again. Approached DANNY after retrieving the online confirmation and only then did he provide the keys that were already at the check in counter. Obviously was going to make me wait simply because he did not want to me to get the convenience of being in the property 1.5 hours early. There were some lights and fans not working and I called the front desk around 5PM on Saturday, It is now Wednesday and obviously my luck of getting through to DANNY means that nothing has yet been done.I also completed the Guest Satisfaction Form and brought these problems to the attention of the duty managers, Arlene and Willette and have yet to even get the courtesy of an acknowledgement.Don't waste your time or money at this property where bad service seems to be the norm and management are not professional. Wyndham should be ashamed to have this property carry their name.
Had a great time staying in a 3 bed condo at Bahama Bay from June 23rd to July 7th. The cocktails by the pool were fab as were the happy hour boneless wings with ranch dip. We stayed in a Grand Bahama Villa. Very spacious inside. Master bedroom was great and the master bath was huge. There was another good sized double and a twin room with a jack & Jill bathroom with double sinks huge shower and a big corner bath. The balcony was a good size with table & 6 chairs. All mod cons in the kitchen ie large fridge freezer, dishwasher and cooker. Separate laundry room too with top loader washing machine & dryer. We were in building 29 on the 3rd floor with view down to the basketball/tennis courts. This was our 2nd visit to Bahama Bay. And we would definitely stay here again. Our daughter had her wedding dinner at the Rotunda room at the Tradewinds restaurant on site. We had a fabulous dinner and use of the room for as long as we needed it. Thanks to all at Bahama Bay for making our stay one of the best yet in Florida.
We stayed here for the 1st 9 days of our holiday for the Disney part - ideally located to visit all of the parks - resort is clean - tidy - free wifi with excellent coverage - fantastic staff where nothing is too much trouble - we stayed in a 2 bed apartment it was huge and equipped with everything you will need - would highly recommend - and we will return !!!
We (myself, wife, 16 year old daughter) stayed here for 10 nights in July 2017. We were looking for a nice apartment to stay in, rather than a hotel room, and wanted somewhere quiet and not in the middle of the touristy International Drive area. Bahama Bay ticked all the boxes and suited us perfectly. The resort is a 45 minute drive from the airport, and is easy to find. Note that you have to pay a toll on the way to/from the airport ($1.25), so make sure you have some dollars on you, especially when you leave the airport. Gated security guard greets you as you drive in, and the grounds are immaculately kept. Check in was efficient, and the club house building has an outside bar (overlooking a pool), small shop (selling essentials), booking desk (for trips etc), complimentary coffee & tea, and complimentary DVD rental. The onsite spa menu looked interesting, and reasonably priced. Our apartment was a deluxe, top floor one, and was huge! 3 double bedrooms, 2 big bathrooms (with bath tubs, shower cubicles, two sinks, and separate toilets). The kitchen was fully equipped (blender, freezer, fridge with ice dispenser, microwave, coffee maker, double oven, dishwasher etc etc). Both main bedrooms had outside balconies, with tables and chairs, and the balconies were enclosed within fly screens, so you could comfortably sit outside and not get bothered by insects. The outside areas even had overhead fans to produce a nice breeze. The apartment was air conditioned throughout, and had everything we could have wanted - comfy sofas, cable TV, stereo system, dining room table and chairs etc. It also had a laundry room with washing machine and drier. Wifi was free and fast. The complex itself was very quiet - during the day you could hear people enjoying themselves in one of the pools, but in the evening it was nice and peaceful. There's a restaurant on site, which also offers delivery to rooms, but we didn't use it.One thing to note: Our apartment was on the top floor (of three). It was fine for us, but it's a bit of a trek to lug heavy suitcases up several flights of stairs, and there was no lift. Wasn't a problem for us, but we did see older visitors struggling a little with cases upon arrival. I'm sure a member of staff would help if required - everyone we spoke to during our stay was very friendly and helpful. Some practical info: It's a 20 minute drive to the Disney parks, and about 40 mins to Universal. There's a big supermarket (Publix) within in 5 minute drive, so we stocked up on fruit, bagels, juice etc, and had breakfast on the balcony at the apartment every morning. There are literally hundreds of restaurants within a short drive, but a couple of our favourites were Manny's Chop House (great steaks!), Wildside Grill (erm, also great steaks), and the usual Panda Express, Cracker Barrel, Dennys etc.We really enjoyed our stay at Bahama Bay. It provided a very comfortable and spacious base for our holiday, and it was nice at the end of a noisy, full-on day at theme parks to head back to a quiet place to chill out. We'd certainly stay there again, and would highly recommend it.
