This hotel is beautiful, well maintained, and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. The gentlemen who checked me in was WONDERFUL (I believe he was the night manager Nov. 10th), very pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, all of my positive vibes were quickly soured due to fire alarm testing that happened during our stay. I get it- every hotel has to test fire alarms for the safety of guests and employees. What I don't understand is why this testing had to take place at 9am in the morning? After a long day in the theme parks, I came back to my hotel room at around 2am to find a note that had been slipped under the door. This note informed me that the testing would take place the following morning and that management may have to ENTER MY ROOM AT THIS TIME to check that the alarms were working. Some alarms going off for a few minutes I could deal with, but I certainly did not want people barging in my room while I was sure to still be in my pajamas with morning breath. The note directed me to call the front desk if I had any concerns, so I did. It rang and rang and rang with no answer. So I just ended up putting a Do Not Disturb sign on my door and bolt locking it. Luckily this worked and no one came into my room the following morning. Again, I understand the need to test alarms, but next time I would suggest choosing a later hour (when more guests are likely to be awake and out of the room) and also notifying guests at check-in instead of by a note the night before. I was planning on giving this feedback to the desk agent at check-out instead of on Trip Advisor. However, when I went to check-out the agent did not ask me how my stay was or anything! All she asked was if I got a receipt.
Things do go wrong. Property has great potential. Room was 61 upon arrival and took hours to get at least comfortable ... we set to 81 and maybe became 68. The shower did not work. Handle would not pull up to allow shower to operate. SOOO sponge bath had to meet our immediate needs.
The staff was very friendly and helpful! Spa was wonderful, and the food was great! Did room service, and food was hot and yummy still. The products in the spa were so nice, and the ladies there were very knowlegable and helpful. Everything was beautiful, clean and nice. Very happy with all!
What a great hotel! My husband and I stayed in a villa for 12 nights at the end of October. Was it a luxurious hotel. No. But it was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed to make our extended vacation wonderful. Having a full kitchen with pots and dishes allowed us to cook a healthy breakfast and keep snacks like fruit and yogurt. I cooked two dinners as well. Having a washer and dryer was great because the weather got colder then expected and I was able to wash jeans. Lots of storage for everything kept our space neat. The fitness center was well equipped with free weights, a good assortment of cardio equipment, and mats. It was nice and bright as well. The pools looked lovely but it was too chilly for us to swim. The staff really set this resort apart. Bell services picked us up each day and took us to the front where we caught an uber to Disney. They brought us back at night. Always friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was great and the front desk was great. We had three small issues with our room. All resolved quickly. My luggage was barely unpacked and I was booking our next stay. Especially when you consider price it cannot be beat. Lots of space to relax in a suite or villa, great restaurants, pools, and other activities. And so very well located.
This is a huge resort hotel with 3 towers (a better way to describe is Compounds). Safety is the utmost importance: concierge at tower base, security patrolling the whole perimeter. Welcoming staff is quite sincere from the garage attendant, registration agent, customer service on the phone: the guest really feels pampered and well-taken care of.Large room with a separate sitting/working room from the bedroom, comfortable bedding and great linens, microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine. ...just like at home. The only issue was the shower curtain did not properly fit the tub so water is running all over the floor.Great stay for a very successful work weekend.!
