Clearwater Beach Marriott Suites on Sand Key
- What's Included
Our suite included a king bed, desk, tv and small balcony on one side, a closet area and bath in the middle, and a sitting room with small fridge, microwave, and sink on the other side; comfortable, spacious, and nicely (cleanly) decorated. We had a water view on both sides, which was lovely. If you're the kind of person/family who likes to spend a lot of time in one place on a vacation, you'll want to know that they have an extensive pool area with lots of kid stuff and a bar (we found a quiet area to sit in the sun, though); an indoor snack bar area with gelato, espresso drinks, sandwiches and snacks; a large restaurant with an excellent breakfast buffet and a good steakhouse dinner menu; a cocktail lounge area; and a well-trained staff who's collective favorite phrase seems to be "It's my pleasure" whenever you thank them for something. The Marriott isn't on the beach side of the key but they'll shuttle you over there and back whenever you ask; it's a couple of minute ride. You can easily drive into Clearwater proper for restaurants or other activities. The only deficiency we found is that typical Marriott thing where they want to charge you for wifi access. It's annoying, but you can get around it if you have some level of seniority in their loyalty points program, or you can just go park yourself in the lobby to check your email; wifi is free there. Except for that, though, we were impressed with this Marriott and would gladly return if we find ourselves in the area again.
This place. I can't say enough about how cool this hotel is. You have 2 vistas from your room, the sunrise on the bayside and the sunset on the Gulf side. Such a great concept hotel. The amenities are good! pool, hot tub, access to beaches, restaurant is good for breakfast, the views, the little strip mall next to hotel for anything you need, shopping, restaurants, forgot something? etc. The staff was on point! I mean they were hustling and positive. Well done on this property! We'll be back for sure. The one downfall is the lack of soundproof rooms. You could hear people all the time. I have earplugs for that though.
Stayed here for the weekend and enjoyed this lovely resort. It's on the more quieter side of the island , but close to the activity. Our balcony faced the bay and we saw Dolphins feeding in the bay multiple times. The sun also rises on the balcony so you get pretty sun rise views. Hotel has been updated , but all rooms are suites and have a separate living area with couch, fridge , microwave. Would be a comfortable stay for a family, even though there was only the 2 of us we talked about bringing our kids as they would enjoy the dolphin watching and the resort!
This was our third stay at the Clearwater Beach Marriott, and we had a fabulous time. The staff is incredibly friendly, the rooms have been updated, and the pool is awesome! The breakfast is wonderful as well. We didn't eat dinner at the restaurant, but had great lunches by the pool several times. For reference, the hotel is not directly on the beach. It faces the Inter-coastal, and is an easy walk to the beach across the street.
we come to the Clearwater beachfront Marriott every year for our wedding anniversary. Love it...the trolley is located in front and takes you downtown....lots of places to eat and lots of things to see....the beach is directly across the street from this hotel...
