Thanks Gloria, Sylva & Jeff

We stayed at the hotel early in January. We had a slight issue with the external Disney Shuttle which was promptly and efficiently resolved by the hotels most helpful staff, Gloria, Sylva & Jeff. I found the entire hotel staff most helpful during our stay.As far as the hotels concerned I’d happily stay there again. The hotel had everything we needed. We stayed in the Tower Block, Floor 5.Superb location with great restaurants and conveniences nearby, our hotel room had all the facilities we could need throughout our stay.Free WiFi is always a nice bonus tooSadly it was too cold for the Water Park, wished it was warmer, it does look great.Thank you Coco Key, see you next time all being well

Horrible Guest Service

I was not, nor will I ever be a guest of the hotel. I called for information and help and the operator was rude, unhelpful and had zero interest in doing her job. Every question I asked was an inconvenience to her. CoCo Key, I suggest you hire some people who want to help your guest and bring people to your hotel. I wish I knew the ladies name, but she was old and miserable and working as an operator on 1/17/18 at 11am.

January 2018

We have just returned from a family holiday at the Coco Key resort in Orlando from the UK. Location was good if you want international drive. There is an Iride stop conveniently situated right outside the hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The blind in our room was broken at the window but it didn't bother us too much as we are early risers. The toilet was blocked at the start of our stay but after reporting it someone came to fix it. A big thing we found disappointing during our stay is that they decided to close the water park for two full days as the temperature dipped a bit. (It only opens thursday-sunday during the winter) on the Thursday and Friday of our stay they kept it closed completely which was a shame as we booked the hotel particularly because it had a water park and pay a resort fee which is higher than most hotels because of the water park. On the Friday I asked if they would be opening it on the Saturday as that was our sons birthday, the weather had improved and he was really hoping to spend his birthday there . I just said "will you be opening tomorrow? the kids are desperate to use it" the lady on reception replied with "i don't know I don't control the weather" The next day it seemed no body knew what was going on. The manager said yes the all of water park will be open including Parrots perch the childrens water playground. We we're thrilled however, when we arrived at the water park we discovered only the very big water slide was open and not the child friendly slides like the manager said . That was disappointing to say the least. The hotel advertises free shuttle to all parks so we went one evening to book our tickets because you can book the seat on the shuttle 24 hours before you go to be told "we don't recommend the shuttle, because a 10 minute taxi ride takes over an hour in the shuttle" which is fine we went to sea world and used the Iride just seems odd to advertise that they have free shuttle to parks but then tell customers not to use it. All in all we had a brilliant family holiday the kids very much enjoyed the small outdoor pool which was heated which is nice. We just felt the hotel staff could have done better. Customer service didn't seem to be a priority. I felt the receptionist was extremely rude when I asked about the water park which changed our opinion of the hotel as a whole.

Waterpark/Pools Plus, Hotel Minus

Our family of 4 stayed a night at Coco Key for my son’s birthday. We chose the hotel because the weather was chilly and he wanted to swim at a waterpark- Coco Key has a semi enclosed swimming area and nicely heated pools. We were very impressed by the waterpark, our room was another story. We stayed in the tower, and as others have commented, it smelled extremely musty in the hallways. The bathroom had long, black hair stuck in the shower drain, the carpet was stained as well as the chairs. The heaters, although a bit noisy, provided a nice amount of heat and the beds were tidily made and comfortable. We probably won’t go back to stay at the hotel unless they do a major rehaul.

Dirty...filthy!

Stayed here in November with my husband as part of a two location stay...5 days in New York previous which was amazing.Hotel looks great on paper...water park...plenty of restaurants and a pool. Yet none of it is open. All of their bars shuts at 8pm so you can’t get a drink after that time. The water park is only open on certain days for a certain amount of hours. The rooms themselves are absolutely filthy...see pic of my husbands foot 5 minutes after he got out the shower!!! The restaurant is also a joke! You have to order food at the pool bar then walk back to the restaurant to eat it!!...even though there is someone in the restaurant whom I’m sure is capable of taking an order? The hotel has a shuttle service to universal studios which is free but you need to get a ticket in advance to be able to ride. There is a shuttle service to Disney which is $18 per person each way despite the holiday being sold with free transport. my advice is to get an Uber as this costs only $16 approx and can fit up to 4 people inside. Hotel staff are also extremely rude...especially at the front lobby area. I went down 5 days before check out and asked for late check out until 2pm..was told it wasn’t a problem and to come back on the day to remind them...I did that and then told me that I couldn’t have it? Despite the hotel being half empty. Giving my husband is disabled we didn’t think we were asking for much. Very abruptly.I suggest also if you are in a same sex relationship then you do not stay here as when my husband and I arrived on our honeymoon we were questioned as to why we would want a double bed!!! (Its 2017 for gods sake!) again extremely rude and abrupt. We have complained to Virgin Holidays whilst we were at the hotel and when we got back to the UK and Virgin have said that the hotel said they gave us a $100 credit to our room. I can tell you that this is an outright lie. At no point did a manager offer this or even attempt to speak to us.To sum the hotel up:-homophobic -dirty-limited free transport ($144 for two adults two children return to Disney) when an Uber costs $32 return-hotel was being refurbished and repainted during our stay.-lying staff Overall complete disgrace!
