Coco Key Hotel & Water Park
- What's Included
Such a shame. Great location and price for a budget weekend getaway but it was in such bad shape that my wife and kid decided not to stay the whole weekend. Definitely, not a place I'd recommend to anyone visiting Orlando. Spend more for the real waterparks that are maintained in better condition. You won't be as disappointed as we were. I was here a few years ago, when it first opened, and it was so much better and cleaner. It's looks run down now and the employees act that way, too.
The hotel is very nice. The rooms are big and roomy. It is not a new hotel, but well preserved. The water park was awesome!! After a day at Disney World, it was awesome to not have to leave the property for the kids to have a ball. All day we went from the water park to the hotels pool!! I never had to take off my flip flops or my cover up, and the bar at a decent hour!! It was great.
booked this for 2 nights after staying in a disney resort so we were expecting good things.Rooms are ok, big and beds are comfy but they felt dirty and a bit run down. The whole hotel smelled of smoke i thought. water park is ok but it's full of locals and you have to pay onto of the hotel to use it wether your using it or not which i think is a bit of a rip off.its locations is good near international drive and a few =fast food restaurants in close proximity - won't be going back though - service was shocking - it took over an hour to check in and out as both members of staff could seem to work the screens as i paid with a credit card. They also took $50 dollar deposit off me and never gave me it back.
This was our second time visiting over spring break. This was the cheapest price I could find for a water park pass in the Orlando area (about $25/person). To be honest, our family loved it! There are only 4 bigger slides, but it kept my teenage boys happy for hours. There is a HUGE outdoor play area with all of the water rushing about for little kids, as well as another huge canopy covered areas for the smallest kids/babies. After a few hours, I expected my 14 and 12-year olds to be ready to go, but they wanted to go eat and come back!I wouldn't say the park was too crowded. My kids almost never waited in line for the slides, and this is over spring break! There was a bar for my husband and I to enjoy drinks while we watched the kids. Also, there was an abundance of life guards who truly seemed passionate about their jobs.Next year we will definitely be staying here for a few nights.
We paid over $125 for a day pass to the water park - total waste of money. Could have been ok, but park was packed to the gills (what is the capacity on this place??) Lots of unsavory clientele, lifeguards and staff were extremely unprofessional (drinking cans of Coke while supervising, not intervening when guests obviously cut in line or started altercations, one lifeguard appeared to be under the influence). Entire premises were dirty, rundown, and had several areas that were in obvious need of repair. Spend a few extra dollars and go to a real water park.
