This is my second time I stayed at this hotel. This time my mom and I stayed in the 101 Dalmatian building and it was just adorable! It was the building next to the main building with the food court so it was very convenient but far enough away so we didn't hear people going by to get there. The rooms were cozy and clean! They aren't the biggest of rooms but it was just me and my mom so it was fine for us. We had enough room and space for all of our stuff. Our room was made up and cleaned nicely every day as well! The paths around the 101 Dalmatian buildings had dog bones engraved into the ground which gave a cute touch to it. There were also cute dalmatian displays and statues throughout. This building didn't have it's own pool but the Fantasia pool was diagonal from it so it wasn't a far walk. The Fantasia pool was nice and spacious so that you can swim without bumping into people and it has a cute Mickey statue looking over it with a fountain. The lifeguards were very attentive to swimmers and there was enough seating for all.The food court was also nice but it could get busy in there in the morning and afternoons so it can become very crowded and navigating might be a little tricky. I would recommend someone from your party find a table and sit down with everyone else while the other person gets the food so you are guaranteed a seat.Over I loved this hotel! I loved walking around the different buildings looking at the different themes they had such as Toy Story, Fantasia, Love Bug and Mighty Ducks! The theme of the lobby was cutely decorated in movie theme with camera lighting and even a red carpet! I recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!
I’m not overall concerned about the out dated room however we’ve had issues since our arrival. From no luggage racks, rude employees, no crib for the baby when it was requested months in advance, housekeeping issues, and more. I am extremely disappointed. Far from “magical”. I would not stay here again. After talking to several other guests, they’ve experienced a lot of the same issues. Wish I had known in advance. Who spends thousands of dollars for vacation and needs a vacation from the stress they’ve experienced? Never again !
We stayed at the movies resort for a two week break in November. We found the check in desk staff friendly and well mannered. We were offered to opt out of having our room serviced each day in exchange for $130 gift card her room. As we had 2 rooms this was a good incentive. We collected our magic bands and went to our room. We had a preferred room which was close to the amenities which was a good choice especially after a long day in the parks. The room was clean and comfortable. All staff were exceptionally friendly. The only negative for us was that we did not have the dining plan which meant we were paying around $150 per meal and eating sub standard food that was served on paper plates. I am happy to pay a high price for quality but the food at The Food Court was not good value for money. Apart from that, we had a great time. I would not stay here again but only because of the location (being further away from the parks than other resorts). Also, there appeared to be too many people for the quantity of shuttle buses provided. The distance from Magic Kingdom was around 20 minutes by bus which prevented an option of walking. Overall, this hotel is great for those on a budget who just want to enjoy disney and all its glory.
The room was adequate for the prices, but small and outdated. The carpeting and furnishing could use a refresh. The location was fine and the shuttle bus from the hotel to the parks was great - not crowded and frequent. The restaurant was not that great, but had enough simple items to satisfy my kids - waffles, bacon, etc. for breakfast were good. The pools were fine, one a bit loud and crowded, the other quiet and nicer (for us). The hotel, all in all, was perfectly fine given the reasonable price.
We have stayed at the more expensive Disney Resorts and finally got the opportunity to try out an All-Star Resort! I am so glad we did! The room was spacious and the bed was comfy. It had all the amenities you would expect to have in a more costly room. The staff is very friendly and the bus service is outstanding. The pool is huge and great hours. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Couldn't see much difference between the All-Stars and the moderate except not the "fancy" rooms!
