We had a suite that slept 8 people. There wasn't much sleeping. We had 4 adults and 2 kids. The pull out sofa and chair beds beds were horribly uncomfortable. Could have slept better n the floor. We came home early from our trip as we're exhausted. Room was extremely small and no room to walk around the beds. Room wasn't very well stocked with the amenities. $14 for a crappy hamburger. Luckily McD's was around the corner. If we go back, we'll splurge on the moderate resort or stay off property.
So glad we never listened to the bad reviews on here! The room is big with 2 double beds, table and 2 chairs, drawers and a t.v. There is a curtained off area with a sink and hanging space. The bathroom is a good size and the shower hot and powerful. The decor makes it feel like Disney! When we checked in we only qued for 15 minutes and was told the exact location of the room. We stayed at mighty ducks which is about a 4 minute walk to the food court and buses, we found it quicker to walk to All Star Music to get the bus. We've only had pizza in the food court which was really nice and huge. There are 2 pools, both offering shade and a bar by the main pool. The buses are a god send. They are regular but do get busy at times. The management and team have been brilliant during the hurricane too. The only downside is that the only offer decaf tea. We would defiantly come back here again!
For a Disney Hotel this is a low budget place so you cant really expect 5 star lodgings. However the worst part is the managing here, they have no #%&*$ clue how to run a business or hotel. The only excuse is it was before the hurricane weekend but its not like this is the first hurricane in FL in history. We have one here pretty much every other year of varying severity. Bottom line, we had to be in line or at the counter for almost TWO HOURS to get our final room. I can list 20 things they do wrong but thats that. I saw one poor guy at the counter for the WHOLE time we were on line, over 40 minutes straight. Wow... talk about incompetence. Now the room, finally. It was reminiscent of a budget hotel room but of course very clean and a nice bathroom. The bed sheet and blanket were nice. Small Disney logos and images here and there but the room did not make us feel like we were in Disney at all. I understand why they would do that but I think most people stay at Disney for the "Disney Experience" and not "once you are here we make you forget you are in Disney." The shuttle buses also ran slow to get to the park, probably another one hour there in waiting and riding. The only redeeming factor here was we got the room for $110, which is a nice price for a clean room "inside Disney." But if Walt ever found out how his hotel was being run, he would literally fire everyone on that floor that night. I would, except for one lady who was running around trying to help all the other volunteer/temp workers who were clueless on 90% of the processes. This is a far cry from what I thought was the "Disney Way."
This is a disgusting hotel. Customer service is horrible and disorganized. The photos on the Disney website are extremely misleading. The food at the food court is equivalent to that of a gas station.
I've never stayed in a value resort at Disney before, I've only ever stayed in Deluxe resorts. I set my expectations very low because many people insist that value resorts are below average and not to be enjoyed. I expected the worst, but actually had a great hotel stay. The room was very clean, the beds were pretty comfy, and the staff and their customer service was phenomenal. Well worth it for $85 a night! The room came with a refrigerator and the staff even delivered my luggage to my room after sharing with them that I am disabled. They went above and beyond for me. The distance from the lobby/guest check in was a bit of a walk but overall not bad and I'd do it again. Recommend this resort for families on a budget but who still wants to have the Disney experience! Also - don't be upset if you dislike the cafeteria food. Remember this is a budget resort. There are tons of other options like Uber Eats.
