I wasn't sure what to expect based on reviews, but I'm glad I went with this value hotel. This was our first trip so nothing to compare it too, therefore I can honestly say it was a great stay and excellent hotel. Online check in was great, the front desk staff was always available and friendly, we opted out of housekeeping, but when we needed towels and new sheets they were delivered promptly. We only ate breakfast once here, so not sure on all the food but the breakfast was really good. Make sure you bring the provided cups though. We didn't have ours and it seemed to cause a few issues. The grounds were well kept, the room was very clean (we were in Love Bug building on the 3rd floor). The room isn't large, and if you will be in the room for longer than 8 hours of sleep it may get crowded quick. I will say the only negatives is that there are not coffee makers or microwaves in the rooms. They have them in the food court but that's a long walk from the back buildings. Overall this was a most amazing stay with lots of character and fun built in!
We wanted to stay on one of the Disney properties and this hotel was reasonably priced. The rooms were not as big as we expected but if you are staying here you are probably going to the Disney parks and will only sleep in your room. The food court at the resort was nice and was open from 6:30am until midnight. My main complaint about the room was that all the outlets in the main bedroom were worn out and if you plugged something in the plug would often fall out of the outlet.
Our company booked our rooms here while we attended a conference at a nearby resort. All of the young kids at this resort seemed to be having a great time especially at the Fantasia pool. Resort areas were clean & neat. The overall appearance of this resort reminded me of a 60s or 70s motel. The rooms were very small & outdated. The bathroom sink area had a curtain that you pulled to separate the bathroom from the bed area. It was disappointing that this resort did not have a restaurant in it. It only had a Food Court that was mostly fast food type items. The food was very overpriced but I'm guessing all of Disney is overpriced in comparison to the state I am from. We spent some time at the outdoor bar near the Fantasia pool where we had a great bartender. I wish I could remember his name but he made great drinks & was a lot of fun.
Me and my mum recently stayed here for one night during our mother/daughter holiday to Orlando. We chose All Star Movies as it was decently priced and everything we wanted for a one night stay at Disney. Our room was in Dalmatians and was clean, roomy and beautifully decorated. We were very close to the main buildings and the Fantasia pool. The food in the food court was delicious but expensive and the transport to the parks was brilliant. Front desks were very slow and not enough staff but apart from that, we had a fantastic stay and would stay again!
This is a VALUE RESORT, do not go here if you are expecting a luxury or even mid-range Disney Experience. As such the resort is dated and in need of a reno. I'd read reviews prior to booking and so wasn't surprised when I saw the state of the room. We were on a girls trip and comfortably slept 4 adults in one room. The separate area for the mirror and sink, made it easier to stagger getting ready in the morning. The room also featured a TV and Mini Fridge which we loaded up with water for the week. Highlights: This resort is very close to Animal Kingdom and has well maintained grounds as well as a large main pool and kiddie pool near by. We stayed in the Love Bug area, which is towards the back of the resort but still a reasonable walk to the main lobby and transport. Needs Improvement: Our room was not throughly cleaned before we arrived. Hair in the shower is an absolute deal breaker for me and this amongst other past guest remnants were present in our room. Also the onsite food court is not great. We dined here one evening and two out of four members of our party were sick from the food. This place has a secret menu, which you can ask for by visiting the Roxy counter and requesting it, however it was that menu (Poutiene) that did the damage. Interesting: You can opt out of room cleaning and be given a gift card for use in the parks. However you do so upon check in, i.e before seeing the room, so that aforementioned shower hair becomes your responsibility. We were looking to stay on property for ease of transport and to utilize those extra magic hours, to do so we were willing to compromise on the accommodation amenities. Overall this resort meet our expectations and would have gotten the thumbs up...if only the room was cleaner.
