Disney's All-Star Movies Resort
- What's Included
- All Inclusive Features
Went there to visit our Grand daughter. We booked a room with a King Size bed and were given 2 double beds When you check in make sure you confirm what room they are giving you. You need a car to get around or do plenty of walking.
Staying on Disney property can get pricey but we stayed here during the off season and the prices were very reasonable. The theming is great throughout the resort and the dining food court area is awesome at making food for special dietary restrictions. Ask them for Vegan + Gluten Free Mickey Waffles and they will say "No Problem!"
I almost felt like i was not at disney resort at all when we stayed at all star movies last christmas. the lobby associate did not bother to greet us or eve say hi to us. he just said, how may i help you...then just stood there and looked at me and my family. we were in the online check-in line so obviously we did our check in already and was just needing to pick up our stuff. he just asked for our id, walked away and when he came back he got in his hand our stuff. i was assuming we're done with our so called "check-in" with him after he gave our stuff coz he was really like the lousiest lobby associate who "welcomed" us at the magical world of disney resort! the only thing he explained us was the parking and nothing else. i turned my head and right next to us was a family being checked in as well by this fairy looking like lady associate. you can see in her face the excitement and the warmth welcoming to this family as she tells the details of their stay. overall, our stay was ok. the resort was nice. the food was ok. disney needs to retrain this male associate at the lobby before they will start losing guests like us.
Let me start of by saying that I (and my family) am a HUGE Disney Fan and that just about every year I stay at a Disney Resort, because we love them. But I will never return to this trap! The rooms are cleaned with something that makes them smell like they were freshly painted every day (which works out great for headaches), yet they don't vacuum the carpets, dust the rooms, put in new sheets (they only change the towels), have comforters on the sheets (like the pictures show are like any other hotel has), forget to put in toilet paper, forget to put in tissues, they forget to put in towels, they have safes that are so out of date that you must carry a heavy key with you (not the typical usual digital type), not to mention the safe only gives enough space for a grilled cheese, there are only three small drawers per room so don't expect to unpack much, the ventilator doesn't work in any bathroom (we moved rooms from the first one because the ventilator in the first bathroom was broken, so we got another room and the second ventilator didn't suck the heat /steam out of the bathroom, was falling out of the ceiling with a metal prong sticking out and at one point in our 2 week trip it was quite literally falling out of the ceiling and getting louder), the bathroom quite literally had mold on the celing (due to the heat not being able to be removed), and when you look at the pictures... this place looks so amazing... but MY GOD did it suck! I have literally never been to a Disney room that I ever had a complaint about. But come on... the night table was so dusty day after day that I literally cleaned it myself because I kept thinking they would and never did. That alarm clock didn't work, and was so dusty that I really didn't want to touch it much to figure out why it wasn't working. The night table had some water stains that could have been cleaned since before we got there... two weeks later, it was STILL there! If you stay at room 859 in the Toy Story building, look for the stain, it should still be there. At the base of the stairs, as we were on a second floor, there was a garbage can that everyone in the hotel seemed to dump garbage at on a daily basis... and at one point we literally had to call the front desk to have it cleared out. Forest creatures started to hang out there due to all the available food scraps and garbage they could enjoy. It took them 2 days to actually get around to it. NEVER... EVER... EVER go here. ANY other Disney Hotel is your best bet... but this one should be condemned, demolished and redone all over again. Did I mention they forgot to put in soaps and toilet paper as well. I mean, those Disney resort soaps all they do is turn you skin dry, but still, could you please put them in my room so that I can bathe, sir? Glad I brought all of my own soaps and shampoos I needed.I know this is a budget hotel, but Pop Century and the Art of Animation are in the same category and they were awesome! But this place is just horrible (to keep from using any adult language).
Maybe the cheapest site, but always a good place to stay. the 3 All-Star resort are the same. The room is clean and not noisy. The cafeteria is large and you have place to eat. It's the third time we sleep in an all-star resort and we're always happy of our choice. You let the car in the parking and you take the bus for every other site.
