Disney needs to remodel the rooms and redo the food court

I have stayed at all 4 value resorts at Disney. Pop centrury is the best of them as it is newer. I stayed at Sports for a soccer tournament at Wide World of Sports. Check in is brutal, getting your luggage at 2am is unacceptable, and the lines at the concierge desk are too long. The rooms have a full\double sized beds in them. Two adults in this size bed makes trying to recoup from a long day at the parks even harder. There are only three outlets in the room in the worst possible locations and they are so worn out, the charging cables can't even stay in and they fall out. The TV and cable channels were the best part of the room. Our AC was not working when we arrived. The tech finally showed up at our room about 4 hours after we called. He was very polite and found a wire that was disconnected from the thermostat. My question is why the previous customers did not notice the hot room? Disney is really making a haul with what they charge for a VALUE resort. I see they are redoing the Cornado Spings resort, hopefully the next in line will be the value resorts. The disney food is getting worse every year. I have been here 8 times over 30 years and the meals we had this time are the worst by far. We resorted to driving off grounds to eat. Most of the staff were very friendly, but we did run into a few that were very rude. This trip soured my view on DW.

an OK place to stay

Three of us spent the first nights of Marathon Weekend. It was fun being with other runners and seeing them each day. That was the draw for this venue. Check-in was slow, even though we had checked in online, but once we got to the desk they were very nice and helpful. We have stayed at an All Star Resort before. This is the same. It is nothing special, but it is a room on property where you can leave in the morning, spend the day at the parks, and come back to sleep. That is what we did. One highlight was a bird and a dog made from towels, washcloths, and ribbons that housekeeping left for us.

Very nice accommodations

The room was super clean , however it had a slight odor. We contacted the room staff and they came in with a deodorizer, while we were gone for the day. So thankful for their work. They have a very nice cafeteria that was great breakfast, good snacks and bottomless coffee. They have these plastic cups w/lids available for $18 and then free refills at that resort your whole stay. It’s very cool how they have the different sport set ups for the different buildings.

So much staying at this value resort

I definitely like staying here, it fits my budget but the atmosphere is great. Come into the foyer and you've got all sporting memorabilia, but you see theres a gift shop that has so many things, but also acts as a convenience store. Theres a really good quick service counter that has variety of food, and runs to midnight, so you can come down and get a quick snackI love the arcade room, its different much better than arcades at other hotels. Bonus is theres a laundry room tooAlso the room is just what i need. Nothing fancy, but the bed is good, enough room for my luggage, free shampoo and conditioner, and the TV has plenty of content. Will definitely stay at a valued resort next time i go to OrlandoAlso its the first valued resort the bus comes around to when going to/from the parks so thats a perk

Amazing Place to Stay - Family of 4 (9 year old and 4 year old) Loved it!

We stayed here January 6 to 11th! I don't know why this place got bad reviews by some. It was awesome experience for us. We stayed at Pop Century 2 years ago and I like this place better.BussesWe had excellent bus service that picked us up at our resort and frequent busses always coming and goingThe Bus shuttle to the airport is very punctual (go early to check luggage - International flights have to collect theirs at airport)FoodExcellent cafeteria - a lot of food choices and coffee for early risers before the restaurants open. There was a bakery and lots of drink selections. I ate steak and potatoes and corn, nice fruit and a variety. I had questions regarding the meal plan and i was helped out a lotDining Plan - upgrade the Plan to Disney Dining instead of Quick DiningSo worth the money. You can eat at all the resort hotels, character dines like Chef Mickey or Akershus(Princess dining) and Crystal Palace (make your reservations asap and book your days around your dining) then do fast passes. The Dining at All Star Sports was great. We had snacks there and the staff were more than helpful and many went over and above.. Whoever makes the coffee for the morning people was a great person.RoomsBasic rooms, clean, tv and dresser and a table and a fridgeThe Bathrooms came with shampoo and conditionerThe maids did an excellent jobThe only thing I found was the rooms were stuffy. My husband and my kids and I woke up stuffed up often and think there needs to be windows that can open because once we left the rooms we became uncongested. We found the thermastat worked very wellOverall, this was a great place to stay. All the staff treated us very well and the rooms were great. The food was awesome, it was very clean and the bus system was punctual and frequent. It was perfect for our family. We are relaxed and easy going and this was a perfect place to sleep. If you need a fancy hotel with more room then maybe stay at a modern resort. For a Value Resort I found it great. We liked it better than Pop. It had a great playground and very cute Disney decor and football fields and the atmosphere was very Disney.
