I came here as a single parent with my 9,7,3 year olds from Scotland . I chose this as was the best offer I could find for Disney property as being a non driver it's a lot easier to stay in Disney .we used the room to sleep and shower , we would also rest mid day sometimes, the beds were comfy, bathroom as I would expect clean and a good shower . Tv with lots of channels and air con . Not a great deal of drawer space for a family of 4 but we managed with extra hooks and hanging space in the sink area . The hotel itself was very clean , pool areas in both main and quiet pool clean even though a lot of people dumped their rubbish and dirty towels around . Plenty of loungers available . The only comment is the small pool sometimes didn't have a lot of life vests left by the end of the day. Lifeguards plentiful . Towels available at both pools and a towel return box . We caught the afternoon entertainment once and the kids enjoyed this , we also watched movies under the stars a few times which was nice and relaxing .the staff were friendly and helpful , my son lost his band at typhoon lagoon and this was replaced no problem at front desk .the food court had the same options everyday really but this was a place to be fed not be impressed , pizza ,chicken, hot dogs amongst other basics that the kids would have if eating here .it was open late so great for the post park snacks or dinners and I refilled my cup a few times late night .would recommend the re fillable cups for value , my kids and i don't usually have fizzy juice at home but it was working out a lot cheaper than fruit juices every day and water does get boring after a while ! Yes it was busy with families and a few large school groups , this didn't affect our holiday , I couldn't imagine my parents coming here and enjoying it but for me this hotel was perfect for families . We walked to the McDonald's once 8min walk away just to get a change of scene . Our house keeper tere was great always kept everything spotless and had a smile on her face .blizzard beach a 5 mins drive and the bus driver ray was funny and informative .animal kingdom close too, other parks a bit further , to get to typhoon lagoon you take the Disney springs bus and transfer there to the typhoon bus it's only a few mins journey from there . Buses were frequent most we had to wait was 15 mins . They have a digital trackers so you get a guide arrival time . We only shared with other all stars for Epcot and blizzard beach and sports is first pick up and first drop off .i would recommend this hotel to fellow single parents and families . Previously stayed at port Orleans and apart from the water slide and the option of boat to Disney springs I enjoyed both hotels the same .
We chose this value resort to save some money because of the limited time we would actual utilize the room, after all we were there to visit the parks and for an AAU tournament. The cost was economical yet had all the conveniences of Disney. Great transportation to the parks and other attractions. The pools were okay however adding a slide to entertain the children would be nice. The food was good, I didn't choose a dining plan because I knew my time at the resort would be limited. The arcade was fun and I really liked the fact the arcade has massage chairs located right at the entrance so I could allow my children to roam the arcade without me hovering over them. Checking in was quite the wait due to them only having one person doing checkin and that annoyed me. I also had a problem with the mattresses, both my husband and I woke up with a back ache, I complained to guest services and 2 new mattresses were bought up that morning. They were better but still caused me a little discomfort. I would recommend this hotel for families who want to pay less but get all the perks of staying on a Disney Property. It's also great for guests who don't want to rent a car. They also provide complimentary transportation to and from the airport. I attempted to check our bags at the resort but was told my flight was too early so I would have to check them at the airport.
Stayed here for 2 weeks on a family holiday , sadly not 4* accommodation. Rooms very small and smell damp , not very well maintained. However the rooms were cleaned every day and fresh towels were provided daily. Food is atrocious and I'm not a fussy eater! It was served on paper plates with plastic cutlery. Breakfast time was like eating in a school hall, there was no order or organisation , a bit of a free for all. The positives for this hotel was location and surroundings, my grandson enjoyed watching a huge variety of wildlife, that wandered around freely. The pool and its attendants were very good. Buses to the parks were pretty good, apart from letting 10 relatives on with 1 disabled person whilst 50 other people were stood in pouring down rain! I have a disabled relative and I'm sure they wouldn't expect that excessive treatment. This holiday was not a budget holiday, it was in fact quite expensive and for a Disney hotel very disappointing. I wouldn't stay there again if I was paid to!!
I have just returned from my vacation This was my first time staying on a disney resort as I usually stay on international drive and could not complain about this hotel. Me and my partner are young early 20's and are students so this was affordable for us to stay on disney property. I was a little scared after reading some bad reviews but after going I would stay here again. Overall the staff are very friendly and helpful, anything we needed it was provided. This includes the front desk and food court staff the food was also reasonable and tasted good we ate here mostly in the morning or late at night if we got hungry after a long day at the park. The rooms were very clean we always had fresh towels and bedding, the maid actually would even fold a towel to sit my hairbrush on and even though we didn't use the disney soap other than to wash our hands we always got provided more.I would recommend resort mugs for $20 when you's arrive this gives you unlimited refills of non alcoholic beverages and can also be used at other disney resorts if visiting them. The transport to and from the parks was incredible we didn't wait any longer than 15 minutes and was very efficient even in the mornings when there is queues. It does not take long to get to and from the parks. Also if planning a day to universal ask the reception for Mears coach number to call from your hotel room this picks you up outside the main entrance of the hotel and takes you home to the hotel for $21 dollar return and can phone up to 2 hours before leaving the park for pick up time these run to 3am and we found this was cheaper than a taxi as there was only two of us. Overall if you are spending most days at the parks this is definitely a great hotel to stay in a reasonable budget and still have the disney experience I loved every minute of it. The pool was also good I noticed there is kids entertainment during the day and certain nights they show disney films at the pool side which for rest days is very handy. They also had a lot of life guards and offered clean towels and life jackets for kids. Definitely would stay here again.
Had a room in hoops block 3, the hotel was nice and clean, the beds were comfy, didnt use the pool much as full a lot of the times, the only thing about this hpotel was very busy with various groups etc and quite noisy some nights, but my first time in a Disney hotel and love it, booked to stay at Animal Kingdom, love the whole disney thing!Food court is a bit lame for vegetarians but good beverage area. Laundry room nice and efficient and buses very quick and useful.
