We stayed here from October 7-15. We stayed in a standard room and were in the basketball area. It was a good walk from the pool busses and food court next time I will pay the extra and get preferred but it was quiet. The room is basic and fit our needs since we are in the parks most of the time. It came with a mini fridge it took a little while to get cold but was fine after. Our toilet overflowed the first time we used it but once they came and took care of it there were no more issues. I did online check in and they texted us when the room was ready and we went right up our luggage was delivered soon after. We ordered groceries to be sent to the resort there was some confusion as to where to pick up but eventually we found the right place. Also our credit card took a couple times to have it linked to our magic band and operational. The food court was basic I really liked the Cuban sandwich though. Service here was slow the window that served flatbread was a little faster. The pool area was nice and clean with towels available. The theme of the resort was nice and my boys enjoyed it especially the football area to save money bring your own to throw around. Mousekeeping was great! The price was right which is why we chose this hotel and we hadn't stayed there yet. Check out was easy they printed our boarding passes and took our luggage.
This is my first stay at a Disney Value resort, having previously stayed at several of the moderate and deluxe resorts at Disney. We were going for a few days over kid's fall break and needed to be reasonable with the budget so booked All-Stars. The positives outweighed the negatives and I'd stay here again on a short trip. Don't think I could do a full week vacation at this resort though. First the positives-Room was very clean and housekeeping did a great job with the room each day. We received a towel animal when we returned the first night. Nice shampoos and soap in the room. Pools were wonderful. We enjoyed the pools for a few hours each day. There were inflatable balls for the guests to use at the pool. Nice area near the pool to purchase drinks. Things that did not go so well-Bus service was good some days, horrible on others. The day we went to the magic kingdom for the Halloween Party was terrible. Waited about 45 minutes to get on a bus. Multiple buses came for other parks while we all waited for the Magic Kingdom. With the big line-up for Magic Kingdom and no line for other parks not sure why they couldn't change where some of the buses were headed.Average/poor very expensive foodI was very disappointed with the food. I know it's going to be expensive because it is Disney. If it's good I don't mind though. I noticed a big difference between the meals at All-Star Sports and Wilderness Lodge counter service. Price is similar. Big difference in quality. For instance, the flatbread pizza comes out fresh at Wilderness Lodge while they sit on the counter under a warmer at All-Stars. I didn't notice any lower a price at All-Stars though. I ordered spaghetti one night and very skimpy on the sauce. We wound up going over to the nearby McDonalds a couple times after the average food experience at All-Stars. Got a better meal for half the price. Rooms need a refreshWhile the room was very clean the carpet was threadbare in spots, beat up walls/doors. Outlets in walls not good. My chargers fell out of some of them making it hard for the family to keep our devices charged up. My 13 year old son said the cute outdoors didn't match the room when he walked in. All in all a decent place to stay for the price. I'd stay again for a short trip only.
Arrived after taking a three day cruise to the Bahamas from Port Canaveral. Upon arrival and entering the check-in line, we had to wait over 15 minutes before we were served. Upon checking in, we were told our room wasn't ready yet but they'd text us the room number. Approximately 30 minutes later, we received a text that directed us to return to check-in desk to receive our room number. At this time, it was around 4:30 pm. However, I do understand that Hurricane Irma had only left days ago and they were probably playing catch up as their on-line app for reserving rooms noted ZERO rooms available.
This is my 4th visit to the All Star Sports resort. I love the benefits of staying on property. The restaurant in site is decently fast, staff is friendly, food is decent and large portions. Wish the beds were larger than full size beds but they are comfortable. The rooms are clean. Would stay again.
Having just spent two weeks here I have mixed reviews. First of all I can't fault the hotel, with oversized icons and two great pools. It was clean and tidy always and all the staff were really friendly. Rooms are made up everyday and the air con in the rooms are outstanding. Massive queen size bed too. My minor thing with the hotel is the price of the food and drink available. The food is overpriced and the juice or water is massively overpriced but being how far you are from everything you have no choice in the matter. Sort of ruined the experience for me after how much I paid for the holiday. It needs a convienence store close by so you have the choice, just seemed like Disney cashing in to me. The buses out front are a complete nightmare. You can wait up to forty minutes for a bus then a disabled customer with a scooter just skips in front with all their families, on one occasion I counted nine family members with them. Three seats for the scooter out of action and nine seats already taken before anyone else gets on. This is a complete joke. The line had about forty to fifty people getting in the bus so needed three busses for all. They arrived one at a time. The wee guy with a walkie talkie directing the buses was no help at all. In the morning at rush times surely more buses could be directed to accommodate all the passengers waiting to go the parks in which they have paid a great deal of money for, not to stand around waiting for three busses. Sorry for the rant but it is something that needs to be addressed and addressed quick. This will put people off returning. All in all the hotel is quality but busses very poor and a bit isolated. If I return to Disney I will be going to a busier area and a bit closer to amenities
