This resort is a really nice place to be because it isn't crazy expensive and isn't terrible. The decorations on site are super fun and neat to take pictures at. The pool is nice and the bus stops worked very well concerning that we wanted to get to the park on time. Animal kingdom is very close to the resort and we didn't have to wait for any busses at all because the service worked very well for us. The rooms have a bathroom with a shower and two queen size beds and a fridge with a TV and table. You could fit 4 guests in one room. If you had more family, you could ask for two rooms that are connected to each other which is pretty neat. Overall, our time here was very nice and we have been doing this resort for many years. The only downside is that sometimes, it is confusing to find where your room is but if you just look at the resort map, it shouldn't be that bad to find where you are going.
We've been to Coronado Springs, liked it a lot. (See my separate review of it). But this time we wantand to spend our dollars more on different things so we decided to take a budget resort. And we liked this as well. We stayed at a standard room in Center Court/Building 5. I would say that our entire experience, the resort grounds, food options, transportation to parks and housekeeping was good. Room and fixtures are clearly old, but they work well and clean. So i won't complain with that. I would give these warnings though:1) if you are a family of four, with teens or middle school kids, you may find the standard room small.2) 1 bus stop only, so if you're placed, say building 8, it could be a walk. Also, at park openings line up can get long, and during park closing, lineups going back is long. Although we didn't wait at the resort and at the parks for more than 20 minutes. Just be prepared.3) pool is so-so and can get really crowded. Remember this is a budget hotel, so don't expect much even if it's Disney. It does the job as a safe base/sleeping quarter within Disney. Disney vacations ought to be fun, yet many times you'll see kids crying and couples arguing inside the parks and buses. Plan your vacation properly and practice patience and you (and people around you) will have a magical time!
We stayed at the All Star Sports Resort. Nice hotel, very clean, 2 pools with life guards on duty, room was on first floor close to pool. Disney decor throughout hotel, cafeteria on site with large variety of food choices, and open late. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Disney, room is priced wee, nice, and convenient with transportation to Disney.
My family of 3 stayed here for 2 wks & thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel may be a little older than some but it is spotlessly clean & very comfortable. We had room with roll-in shower which was great & very accessible. Housekeeping do a great job, only thing I missed was Mickey shaped towels on bed! The cast members are so friendly & helpful & genuinely care that everything is perfect for your holiday. James the front desk manager went above & beyond to ensure that our daughter received a Magical surprise gift on our first night, thank you! The grounds are wonderful with some real in-your-face Disney touches to delight all ages. The food court was a bit of a bun-fight but plenty of choice and tables quickly cleaned between each guest. The pool at Surf's Up is gd & we used it most nights. We were there when Irma threatening & there was good guest communication.Would go again. Good, affordable, very Disney hotel.
The cast members at All Star Sports are the best there is!! We are currently vacationing and it was during when hurricane Irma hit. These cast members have went above and beyond to make everyone feel safe and comfortable as well as keeping the kids busy. They had coloring in the lobby. There was movies playing. They made sure everyone was prepared with ride out packaged meals (very reasonably priced and dining plan accepted.) many characters came to visit they did meet and greets in the lobby as well as a nice breakfast visit one morning and an evening dance party! Our flight home got canceled and rebooked to a later date and they were also more than accommodating in extending our stay as well as keeping us in the same room so we didn't have to move the kids. I would stay here a million more times and highly recommend it to anyone!! Very affordable without sacrificing service.
