At the hotel we went there during Christmas. When we arrived we checked in and due to our room not being ready we were able to check in and leave our luggage to be delivered to our room while we went to a park. The room itself was ok for the price paid! The bathroom was a little nasty due to mildew growing. We had five people total and the maids only left two towel and two wash cloths. That was the one downside! If you ever go, make sure you do the dining plan!
So I wanted to write this review because we went This past weekend and stayed on property for the first time ever. Both my husband and son got the stomach flu. The staff was amazing!!! They got the urgent care to pick us up and take us too and from the hotel... got my husband special needs - the manager came up and hand delivers bags with water to our room and checked to see how he was feeling. The housekeeping provided me with Lysol disinfectant wipes (since I was refusing to go near the bathroom with all flu germs)... all in all the experience was great. The rooms are nothing fancy but they are disney's low cost rooms so don't expect the palace! They are clean... comfortable .. perfect for what we needed. Thanks to the staff there for being so wonderful --- if it weren't for them I think we would have been miserable!
Stayed here for a week, had a top floor room all the way in the back, very quiet and clean. Very good value for money. Room has two double beds and a fridge. Housekeeping came every day. Would definitely steely return. We spend all days at the different parks and just use the room as a base.
I love the people who work at Disney but the corporation has really failed its staff and its guest. I expect so much more from the "magical" experience brand of Disney. A picture is worth a thousand words....we booked months ago yet without asking us, we were given a handicapped room. Our entrance as shown by the front door - pathetic. The furniture worn and tattered. Chairs and carpets stained. Plastic tissue holder and ice bucket so cheap you wouldn't even buy them at Walmart. One soap for sink no soap dish. One soap and one bottle of shampoo conditioner combined- not even lotion or shower wash that you find in all hotels of this price range. Plastic cups so cheap that I poured a beverage in it and it began seeping out the side due to a crack. I thought that was a fluke. But second plastic cup was cracked also. To top it off, you'd think you'd come back after spending a fortune at their parks to a bed made and fresh linens. Think again. Room untouched. But on a positive note, I guess they ascribe to the help yourself mentality as there was a cart of towels at the elevator on the first floor. Honestly, this is the result of a Disney management team who does not value all of their customers. If you can't afford a $500 a night room down the road then I guess they feel you deserve only about 20% of that Disney magic. Not at all what I believe Walt Disney thought would happen when he began this journey.
My husband and I just returned from a 4 night stay at All Star Sports. We stayed in room 2503 in the "Hoops" area. The room was a standard with 2 double beds on the 3rd floor. We always choose a top floor room so there are no guests running around above us. The room is small as are the rooms at All Star Movies, Pop Century and Art of Animation (we have stayed in all of these), but they're clean and more than adequate for a place to sleep and take a shower. The bathroom has the split set-up where the vanity is outside of the "water closet" which is handy while someone else is showering while another needs to use the mirror and sink.I prefer to stay at the budget resorts so I can spend more money while at Disney or make more frequent trips to Disney?I would definitely return!
