Disney's Beach Club Resort
- What's Included
This deluxe has it all! I had big expectations on this resort and it did not let me down. We have stayed at The Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, Caribbean Beach, The Contemporary and now The Beach Club! Here is why the Beach Club rules in our opinion. 5 minute walk into Epcot. 15 minute walk or boat ride to Hollywood Studios. Easy 10 minute, practically empty bus rides to Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. Cape May Cafe Seafood buffet. All you can eat crab legs and more. The smell of the Beach Club is beautiful. Citrus with a floral scent. The lobby is covered in fresh flowers and star fish. We were welcomed by a kind Cast Member and who walked us into the solarium where we were offered guava juice while they set up our reservation. We were tired and it truly felt like a magical welcome. They walked us to the elevator and talked us through the resort. I had requested a large balcony for a garden view room and it did not disappoint. We had a clear view of the fireworks at night and could see France through the trees. We walked to the Boardwalk one sunny morning for breakfast at Trattoria Al Forno (upcoming character destination) and over to France another morning. Great online tip. No one is even there and we were able to get a latte and fresh breakfast at Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie. Lots of tables and very magical, as nothing else is open there. Photo pass person is out for pics though! We spent half days swimming in their massive pool/pools. Margarita in hand from Hurricane Hannah's felt great. Pool features a terrific slide that starts up high on a pirate ship. The pool is sand bottom and also features a lazy river. We enjoyed almost private swims at night in the well heated quiet pool. Cast Members are AMAZING there. Sheryl at the pool is friendly, amazing and helpful! A big shout out to the very best Mousekeeper that we've ever had (3rd floor). Linda! She set up the stuffies doing wonderful things for the kids to find each day!! I thought that never happened anymore at Disney....it did at The Beach Club. Our room was spotless and well stocked. Thank-you Linda for making it so special. This resort is surrounded by great signature places to eat. It is endless. We will return to this resort. Children and husband all loved it. It is hard to pay higher prices at The Polynesian or Floridian (and we loved the Floridian) knowing that you must walk outside (sometimes in the rain) just to get something from the quick service area. I can compare The Beach Club to Wilderness Lodge - it had that same coziness of being within your resort. I read it's expensive from other reviewers....I always research and seek out the discounted rates when they come on. Including the park tickets with park hopper and table service dining .....the week comes out to a well priced vacation that is often less than an all inclusive elsewhere. There are value resorts at $129 a night, if a place to sleep is all you're looking for with a cafeteria style restaurant. Nothing wrong with that if the parks are all you want. The deluxe lover is looking for a different experience I think. The Beach Club offers all that and more!
We actually stayed at the Beach Club Villas being part of the DVC and have stayed there before. The rooms have been recently upgraded and refurbished and is very nice. We stayed on the 4th floor in room #423 with a view of the front driveway and overlooked the garden between the resort and the villas. We could see the Studios fireworks from our balcony. I really can't say enough about this hotel and staff. I was greeted upon entering the lobby with a great big smile and the lady who checked me in could not be more pleasant. I was actually there at 11:30am and my room was not supposed to be ready till 4pm but the texted me 20 mins later stating that my room was now ready. Our stay was great ! the pool was awesome, had dinner at Cape May 1 night which was delicious and daily ice cream from Beaches and Cream was always a hit. If you can stay here you should.
My family spent 5 nights here and have stayed at other Disney and non-Disney resorts. The pool and its sand beach area are quite nice. The hotel and grounds are well kept up. We did like being able to walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Those pros being said, the hotel was crowded and the staff and food on site were just OK. The quick service dining is too small and had too few options for such a large resort. A small bag of grapes at the quick service (maybe 10-15 grapes) is way overpriced at nearly 4$. Prices are not marked on many of the food or souvenir items. The walls seem a bit thin and a crying baby woke us up at least twice a night from next door. At check-out no one asked us how our stay was or seemed to have any idea we were checking in later that day to a different Disney resort. All in all, I felt like Disney spends its resources making sure the theme parks are well run and have cheerful staff, but the hotels fall short and I would expect more for a place that is priced over 500$ a night.
Best clam chowder in Disneyworld. We've stayed at the Beach Club in the past, and always stop by Cape May Cafe. This time, we wanted a quick lunch outside of EPCOT and decided a nice stroll to the Beach Club Marketplace was the answer. We weren't disappointed! We weren't impressed with the flatbread, but the clam chowder made up for it!
we have been coming to the Yacht and Beach clubs in Disney, since our first child was born back in 1986. The rooms are large and can accommodate up to 5 people. It's an easy walk to Epcot, and also the boardwalk area. The pool is a water park in its self, with lots to offer both young and old. Must try the Beach Club Restaurant for all you can eat seafood!
