This has been our worst Disney experience so far. We booked a Club Level room at The Beach Club and normally a representative meets us in the lobby at other Disney hotels. No person. We had a room number so we went to the room. The Magic Bands didn't work. Had to walk back to the font desk to get the Magic Bands to work. We have no paperwork on any of our dining reservations or experiences that we booked. Went back to the room to call for our bags. When we tried to get our bags from Bell, I was on hold for over 30 minutes with no answer. My wife walked down to the front desk and could not find anyone at the Bell desk. When she did, they stuck a hand in her face. The front desk was a little more helpful. My wife got her bags after about an hour. That's one hour after getting the stupid Magic Band to work. We will never stay here again. We have stayed at 5 other Luxury Disney Resorts and this one takes the cake for worst customer service. We would move hotels if there was any other option, but this close to the holiday, we are probably stuck.
We've stayed here twice, the first time in 2015. Absolutely love it, my kids loved the pool and the slide. Lots of life guards so they're safe. Easy access to all the parks and an uber to universal is about $20. The whole place is immaculate and everything you'd expect from Disney. My only criticism is that due to the size of the hotel it can feel a little impersonal and the staff, despite being professional and helpful, lack a personal connection that you get in a smaller hotel.
Ate at the Cape May CafĂ© tonight - seafood buffet. A child vomited on the floor a few feet from the buffet and our table. It sat there for about ten minutes while a staff member stood next to it. One diner walked right through it. The staff threw some towels over it and continued to stand guard over the vomit. It was at least 20 minutes before housekeeping showed up to clean it up. When someone vomits at the buffet, I expect Disney to do a better job at quickly cleaning it up. It was really disgusting.
This is one of the best locations out of all the Disney resorts. You are within walking distance to Epcot (even older people) and the boat picks you up right outside the hotel to go to MGM. It is also extremely to get here from the airport which is a big plus. Right when you get off the plane they take your luggage straight to your hotel and you can hop on the shuttle with your family. I stayed in the club level and usually the staff there is extremely upbeat and helpful. They were a little slow this time and did not seem to be their normal selves. I think this hotel needs to be updated as it is getting a little old. I have been here 4 times and this time seemed to be the worst. The rooms were just fine and will hopefully be updated soon. Depending on the location of your room it can be a little loud as well. We had a pool view so there was a bit of music but that could be expected. If you have young kids you may want to get a room on the other side away form the pool for naps.
Stayed in October 2017 in a 4th floor room overlooking the quiet pool. Absolutely loved the location- despite being at full capacity we never heard a sound at night. Staying with young adult son we enjoyed the quiet pool, hot tub and easy access to Epcot for touring and meals. We also walked to Hollywood Studios (about 20 minutes). This hotel is the best location for travelers who do not intend to spend much time in the Magic Kingdom. We did spend a full day at Animal Kingdom but travelled there by uber (in lieu of free bus). There was a decent gym equipped with towels and water.The hotel is spotless as was the room. Everyone who worked there was friendly however I found the front desk personnel in general to be uninformed about basics with respect to park times, firework events, bus transportation, etc. unless they had a brochure handy.The room was very disappointing. Despite having been spruced up a few years ago the furniture and bath fixtures were equivalent of a 3 star hotel. Clean and comfortable bed but no amenities. There was not even a shower cap or robes. While we did call housekeeping and asked for missing toiletry items and turn down, we believe at over $500 per night these items should have been a given. No robes or slippers were provided nor any luxury end bath amenities.I probably would stay at the Beach Club again but maybe go when prices are more in line with room quality. Perhaps the Boardwalk would be a better value.

Free Magical Express transfers: If you choose the package with transfers, Disney's Magical Express Service is complimentary and exclusively available when you stay at a Disney Resort Hotel. Motor coaches pick you up at Orlando International Airport and take you to your Disney Resort Hotel, while your bags are picked up and taken to your room. And when your vacation's over, you and your bags are taken back to Orlando International Airport.
Car Rental included - If you choose the Transat package with car rental, it is included for the length of stay and is based on your type of accommodation: Hotel room - 4-Door Midsize, 2 Bedroom Condo/Home or larger - Mini-Van, when 4 or more adults share. The rental includes Unlimited mileage, Air-conditioning, Automatic transmission, AM/FM stereo, State map, 24-hour Roadside Assistance. Applicable local taxes and surcharges are not included. Extra Magic Hours! Disney Resort Guests can enjoy the Extra Magic Hours Benefit. Each day one of the Theme Parks opens an hour early or stays open up to three hours after regular Park closing, so you can experience some of the most popular attractions. Valid Theme Park admission and Walt Disney World Resort ID are required.
