This is the most beautiful hotel. Staff were so accommodating but that's what you get in the USA. ..great customer service. The uk could learn a lot from them. Staff were friendly and our room was gorgeous. They could not do enough for you. The hotel has the best location of all the hotels at WDW. Would not go to another hotel. Bus transportation was brilliant and quick and also close to ferry terminals. Walking distance of Epcot. Beautiful. Also just to say Kristy was lovely and so helpful. Thank you for a great holiday.

Deluxe at its best

This beautiful Disney resort does not disappoint! We stayed for four nights for my birthday trip! The rooms are well designed with lots of room to move around. The pictures tell the story! 10 minute walk to Epcot and 15 minute boat ride to Hollywood Studios! The beds are amazing and the A/C works perfectly and very quietly!

Lived the Dream

We have never stayed on property before. But this time I wanted the convenience of Disney transport to the parks so that I could leave the family to it when the heat got too much. Wow! Great decisions!!3 of us stayed for 11 nights in a standard room with free dining plan, photopass and $200 gift card. Amazing value for money!!We opted for valet parking which proved excellent throughout our stay. When we arrived we were greeted outside the main entrance by a young receptionist with an iPad. She checked us in there and then and went to get our magic bands(I can't tell you how much I loved those little gadgets!). And off we went to our ground floor room. I had requested large balcony near Epcot and it was granted. We were situated next to the back exit to Epcot, less than a 5 min walk away!! This however meant that we were also the furthest away from main reception....a whole 360 steps away (which is a long way when you have walked 20k plus already that day!haha). We encountered a couple of early issues with the magic bands as they didn't work as room key initially and also our credit card(which I had added prior to travel) wasn't recognised. These issues were quickly rectified. Our room was well appointed (although USB plugs didn't work!). The beds were comfortable and the bedding excellent quality cotton. There was plenty of room for the 3 of us. The sinks being located out of the shower room was a help but the shower/toilet area was incredibly small! Mousekeeping was spot on too. We used the marketplace a lot and it was fab. The staff were always friendly. As per some other reviews, the only negative about our experience, was the bus service to MK. One day we arrived before the bus was due and waited 55mins!! We used the same service later in the day and waited another 40 mins. This is totally unacceptable in a deluxe resort where we have paid a premium. I mentioned it to the reception manager who said that she was aware of the problem and was going to address it. She did kindly offer us a few fast passes for the following day. Another point that Disney should note is that there are many guests with disabilities that aren't visible. Benches for the less able to sit at whilst waiting for the buses at the resorts are essential. It's 100 plus degrees so please Disney consider those of us who might be unable to stand!Beach Club would be my resort of choice in the future. Location cannot be beat. It's a beautiful resort both externally and internally. Staff were great too. We lived the dream....and it was as magical as we had hoped for

I've stayed at just about every resort that Walt Disney World has to offer. Ive stayed direct and sometimes I;ve stayed through DVC to save a few bucks. The Yacht Club at Disney may very well be their best resort offering top notch quality and a posh elegance you won;t find at many of their resorts. On a recent stay we needed a room for a few nights in between a Disney Cruise and some other reservations. We decided to use DVC's Beach Club. The resort on the exterior is fine, it is after all connected to the Yacht Club. But upon entering the hallway to the room we some quite a bit of wear and tear. The rooms are sufficient, but very plain offering little more than the bare necessities. The room had some debris on the counters leading me to believe the room wasn't cleaned very well. The balcony is a nice feature, but there were cigarette butts all over the roof and they didn't look fresh.Once again this is not something you usually encounter at Disney as they normally keep the grounds spotless. Overall, the room is way over priced, the cleanliness would have gotten my staff fired and I would probably not stay here again unless I really needed a room and they were offering a tremendous discount. The plus side is it is a stones throw from Epcot, there are some very nice restaurants on property and the pool is fantastic.

Magical Stay

We have just returned from a 14 night stay at Disney's Beach club resort, staying in a standard room (2 adults and 6 year old daughter). We booked via Virgin Holidays and upgraded to the Deluxe Dining Plan.On arrival after a long flight and very long queue at MCO airport immigration we were tired and hot. The hotel reception was lovely and cool and very welcoming .. however, even though there was enough room for (if I remember correctly) at least 5 reception staff not all desks were in operation. Our family and another family had to wait for at least 20 minutes before we were seen as the staff were dealing with dining reservations and other guests queries ... we felt that there should maybe have been a desk at that time dealing only with guests checking in?Our room 4718 was quite a walk from reception but when we got there it was lovely and clean with everything that we required. The beds were very comfy and air conditioning was excellent, it was very quiet which was great as I am a light sleeper. The view from the room wasn't great, it was of a roof and in the distance the Disney Transportation Buses. The Conference Center is currently being renovated and we could hear construction traffic and beeps at certain times of the day. All the hotel staff we encountered were lovely, we used the Markethall daily for snacks and drinks and a few quick service meals, we ate in Cape May for dinner one evening and breakfast twice. We visited all the Parks and used the Disney Transportation Buses to Disney Springs, Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom and water boat to Hollywood studios and walked to Epcot. You really can't beat the location of this hotel! We loved the short boat cruise over to the Boardwalk! The buses to and from Magic Kingdom to the hotel were not as frequent as other parks and every time we had to come home - during the day and at night we had to wait quite a while which was disappointing as MK is one of the most popular parks so I would have assumed there would have been more frequent transport. One addition to the hotel that would be really helpful would be the tv screen that is down next to the resort bus transportation that informs of the bus arrivals times for the parks is also accessible in hotel room so before leaving your hotel room in the morning you know whether you need to run or not!We also used Storm along Bay and Beaches and Cream. The pool area is fabulous, however the only disappointing thing is the usual issues you get at hotels - towels on sun loungers! I also think there needs to be more shade available at the pool, the hotel should invest in more parasols. Unfortunately most loungers with shade were taken before 9am in morning ... and even though signs say not to reserve beds people do and the signs are not enforced. I even noticed a lot of families reserving more than one area around the pool - i.e. beds in the shade, beds in the sun and tables and just moved around all day between them! There were even clearly people reserving beds prior to going to the parks! Management really need to look into this as it wasn't really fair.Apart from that the hotel was fabulous and we are already planning or next trip in 2019 and plan to return. The location is just outstanding. We had a magical time at Disney and loved the Dining Plan, we made lots of memories with our daughter dining with all the princesses and characters. The only negative encounter we had was our 2nd last morning we had booked to visit 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian breakfast with Mary Poppins. We had booked it for 1015 and planned to go to Magic Kingdom to go on our favourite rides before returning to pack in the afternoon. We had arranged Fast Passes all around these plans. On arrival at 0955 we were told the dining had been moved to another part of the hotel and they were running over an hour late ... we checked in and wandered round the hotel, however, we then realised that we would not be sitting down to eat our breakfast until after 1115 and all our fast passes would be wasted - we wouldn't have much time at the Park as we had dining reservations that evening and had to pack our suitcases in the afternoon .... my daughter was in tears as she had really been looking forward to meeting Mary Poppins. When I returned to cancel to explain the reasons the staff were very unapologetic and there was certainly none of the fabulous Disney Customer Service that we had encountered over the previous 12 days of our holiday. They couldn't care less that my daughter was upset! Very disappointing! This put me off ever staying in the Grand Floridian!
