Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
- What's Included
Two week Disney holiday, we stayed in the Paddock area of Saratoga Springs, which was very quiet and had its own pool area (open 24 hours) along with a hot tub. It is also close to the first disney bus stop so you are amongst the first to get on and first to get off also the stop isn't as busy as the springs. We had a two bedroom suite which was more than adequate for four adults and the washing machine and dryer were very welcomed especially with the torrential rain we experienced. The rooms were cleaned and beds made everyday and the resort as a whole is very clean, like all of Disney. The resort itself is large and can take some getting used to but its location to Disney Springs is excellent, it is a short walk either way around the lake or you have the option of taking the bus or boat, both of which seem to operate every 15-20 minutes giving you access to multiple restaurant and shopping options, with return trips as late as 23:30 (i think).this was my first experience of a Disney resort having previously stayed at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Hotel (also an excellent option if staying in the Disney Area) and i would say that it was worth the extra we paid but only because we had the Disney Dining Plan.
The Resort is gorgeous. The rooms are all suites. We had a 2 bedroom suite. The resort is huge it has several pool complexes. It took us a good 10-15 minutes to walk from our room to the main restaurant and pool area. There was a separate pool complex within a 2 minute walk. The resort had everything! A food court, gorgeous pool areas, water taxi and bus service. We took a water taxi to Disney Springs, which was a lot of fun. It is located on a golf course and the restaurant and the food court were excellent. They had plenty of activities. If it wasn't so expensive we would go again in a heart beat. Had a great time.
What more can you expect fromDisney. Our room was ready early and had everything we needed. Waitstaff is always friendly and curtious. We have started ed at multiple Disney resorts and this experience has been excellent just as all of our previous experiences have been.Highly recommend.
This resort is huge. If you are used to a quick walk to the pool or mug fill up, in most spots that won’t happen. Bus service is hit or miss...lots of miss though. After 10 visits, we missed our first fast pass. I had read many reviews and lots mentioned lack of theming...I thought that wouldn’t matter to us, but it did. The lack of theming makes this place quite depressing. It was like being in a deserted vintage town. The evenings to and from parks or springs are very dark, too. Pretty creepy actually. The food court was very tiny and always a mess. The only plus here was a fabulous view of Disney Springs, which I requested and paid preferred for. No one in my party thought the view was worth the walking and bussing everywhere. Everyone does Disney differently which is part of the beauty of it...Saratoga Springs was not for us at all.
We stayed for just three nights with our 2.5 year old. The room was small, but perfect for the 3 of us. My daughter loved sleeping on the pull out couch, which we called her big girl bed. Definitely make a wake up call and let your child answer as Mickey called us every morning and my daughter was thrilled to “talk” to him! The staff was amazing.
