Ruby wedding special holiday

Hotel chosen due to location & facilities & we wanted to stay at a Disney hotel for the first time as it was for a special occasion. We booked a 2 bedroom villa as our daughter, her husband & baby were with us & the accommodation was perfect. We each had our own bedroom, bathroom & dressing which were separated by a good size lounge & kitchen area. The lounge & both bedrooms were well furnished & each room had a tv with many channels, the kitchen had cooker, fridge, washer/dryer,dishwasher & kettle-washing powder was provided. The bedrooms had a balcony with small table & 2 chairs & our rooms overlooked the golf course. We were in The Grandstand area ,close to the bus stop & a lovely pool with a 5 minute stroll to the Artists Palette which was great for quick service meals & also the Turf Club where we all enjoyed waiter service dining. The cast members were first class as expected & the whole experience was fantastic:we can not wait to return to this hotel

An easy transfer from the hotel with Magical Express and a warm ‘Welcome Home’ awaits you at this Disney Hotel and complex. We where allocated a room in the 4000 block which was a short walk from the main reception and in my view probably the best location on the site as the complex is huge.Again a short walk from our room was a great swimming pool, which included a fantastic slide which my children loved going on. It was well staffed with very vigilant life guards and a perfect place to relax if you wanted to get away from the hustle and bustled of the very busy Disney Parks. WeOur room was amazing beautifully presented, it had a small kitchen area, which included cooker, dishwasher, coffee machine, Disney had provided everything you need for your stay including the coffee, dishwasher powder, washing up liquid and separately a washing machine and dryer, which again included the washing powder. In the dining area was table and chairs for meals. The lounge area was well set out, with a sofa bed for our children, a large flat screen TV and also DVD player. The bedroom was huge as was the bed and very comfortable again a large screen TV was provided with plenty of storage space to put our clothes in.The first bathroom had sink and jacuzzi bath, with the second bathroom having a stand alone shower and sink, with separate WC attached to this. Also included was a small safe, provided FOC however if you lost the key you would be charged $35.00 for a replacement. We had booked the Disney Dine package and this allowed us to take advantage of the many restaurants in the updated Disney Springs area, including our own on site restaurant which had helpful servers and excellent food. The complex was serviced by water taxi and also Disney Buses taking you to the individual parks, water taxis operated until 11:30pm with buses running on until 2am. The nearest bus stop was a very short walk from our room but with many guests taking advantage of the bus services they are very busy. Also included in our price was parking at the Disney Parks saving us $20 a time on parking. Our stay surpassed our expectations in so many ways a throughly enjoyable trip and highly recommended.

DVC 1 Bedroom Suite

As per other reviews this resort is very spread out. Congress Park is closest to the walkway to Disney Spring which is where we stayed. It’s about a 10min walk to Disney Springs. There is a small pool near Congress Park which was very quite. It’s less then a 10min walk to the main pool and activities area at Saratoga Springs. This resort is very quite and has a considerably less ‘Disney’ feel then other resorts. Parking was ample in our area and we hardly met any neighbors. The 1 bedroom suite had a king bed in a bedroom and hide a bed in the living room. (Sleeps 4) There was a soaker tub in a powder room, and a shower and toilet in an adjacent room. There was a full kitchen with basic cooking supplies. Coffee, dish soap and laundry soap is provided on the 1st and 4th days for DVC. The finishes and furniture are a bit on the dated side but our room was very clean. We had a problem with the shower draining and within 20 minutes of calling maintenance a person was in the room and had it fixed. The staff was great and everything was done very quickly for check in and check out. We’d definitely stay here again as DVC members.

Classy relaxed place

Staying here using Disney Vacation Club. Immaculate grounds, friendly helpful staff, really make you feel welcome. Very convenient to Disney Springs via boats or walkway. Villas spotless, well laid out and equipped.

Not impressed

I realize that many people like Disney’s Saratoga Springs, but my husband and I were not impressed. I didn’t feel I was at a Disney resort - other than the couch pillows in our room that had a couple of the Disney horses stamped on them, we didn’t see any other Disney-esque stuff anywhere. They could have used The Fox and the Hound, for example. The room was also worn. Several areas on the walls were missing paint...a lot of paint. It was obvious that furniture had been shoved against the walls and dented and chipped the paint. Everything looked dingy and they had the queen sized bed right next to the wall so the person on that side had to either scoot down to the foot of the bed or crawl over the other person to get out. There was a crappy floor lamp in the corner that kept blinking. Upon inspection, it looked like someone had tried to splice a weird plug on the end of the cord. That, in conjunction with the loose wall socket, made us just decide to keep the lamp unplugged for fear of a fire starting. This place is also huge. You have to walk a helluva long way to get most anywhere if you’re in some of the far buildings. Not good for those with arthritis or after a long day on your feet at the parks.Lastly, some of the employees definitely did not have the Disney spirit, being rather short when asked questions. Of course, there were a few who were incredibly nice too, so it was a mixed bag.I’m sure the larger villas are a lot nicer, but we had a regular room and it was nothing to write home about. We would probably go back to Port Orleans, French Quarter next time or maybe stay off property as there’s nothing special about some of these places.
