Our Home Resort

DVC Member and our home resort. A very comfortable place to stay when at Disney. Close to Disney Springs. All accommodations were nice though finding our room,1/2 mike from reservations, in the dark took a little longer. Bus transportation was very good to the parks. Will be back again in March.

Depends on what you want

For travelers- Yes, the resort is large, Yes, its not the best themed resort in the Disney arsenal. But it is still a very nice place to stay and if you are driving, or want to spend time at Disney Springs it's a very nice choice. Also, the rooms are large, clean and being remote, quiet. Main pool is very nice, and the spa is great, if you want to golf it's a no brainer, stay here. So if you want a monorail resort this is not it. If you want a nice resort and have your own transportation it is a very viable option. For the resort- stayed here a couple times, you tripped up on the latest trip. Bell services needs to answer their phone, it was not 'Off Hours' you need to staff appropriately, it was high season. And then to have the main desk not answer their phone is not acceptable in any way, shape, or form. Having to walk to the main desk to get our luggage delivered is a serious mess up, and to have it be dismissed with a "we'll get it there" is not the Disney Way. I pay premium for Disney Service and you failed badly!!!!!! I've gotten fast passes at a restaurant when they didn't get all the food out at the same time, being dismissed when you can't get me my luggage for 45 minutes because you won't answer the phone is a service faux pas.

We stayed at Saratoga Springs from 01-06-18 to 01-13-18 for our 4th or 5th time. We stayed in the Springs Section Villa 3321 (Two Bedroom Villa). Everything was perfect, no issues, view was good could see part of a pond from our balcony. Walk to bus stop / dining area / Disney Springs wasn't bad. Only thing I will say is we requested a room in the Grandstand area just cause I know how the buses there operate. Bus route is Grandstand --> Carouse --> Paddock --> Congress Park --> and finally the Springs by the time a bus does get to the Springs it is packed and if they are packed they won't even stop to pick anyone up. Luckily my family aren't early risers so getting a bus around 10:00 / 10:30 wasn't to bad but if you get there earlier you might have to wait for two or three buses. (Recommendation, when checking in online request Grandstand or Carousel if you don't want to wait) The walk / boat ride to Disney Springs is not bad. The pathway takes you over to Marketplace (Rainforest Cafe) and the boat takes you to the landing which is in the middle of Disney Springs. (20-25 minute wait depending on how full it is) While Saratoga Springs is a Disney Springs Resort hotel and not a main theme park Resort Hotel getting to the parks did not take long at all. The two further parks from the Resort are Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom which makes it feel longer especially if you are standing and holding on to the handrails. One last thing i will say about the Resort / Villa is we had 5 people in a two bedroom villa for sleeping purposes it was great. My brother's fiance had the King Size bed with the whirlpool tub / glass shower, my parents and I had the two beds in the other room and my brother slept on the pull out couch in the living room which was totally his choice. The room size is big and luxurious, and since we are not DVC members we did get the "mouse-keeping" everyday. The one thing I will say that I wish they had were clocks / alarm clocks. The only clock we had in the room was on the Microwave / stove which wasn't so bad because we did use our phones for the alarms just a tip for anyone reading this. Also we actually ate breakfast in the room each morning before heading to the park, while the dinner table they do provide is spacious there are not enough chairs for everyone to sit down at one time. They give you a bench which probably could fit three children but trying to put three adults who are bigger doesn't work, there are only two other chairs they provide. Overall I do highly recommend this resort we never had any issues when staying at this resort present and past. The Resort does have a Spa / health club / 5 plus pools however we did not take advantage of any of these amenities this time. The main pool does have a cool looking slide. We will certainly stay here again when traveling with a bigger size party.

Very Large

We had a one bedroom villa at Carousel. It was a great sized room with a king sized bed and pull out couch. full kitchen. It also had a washer dryer which was so helpful. You receive new towels/toiletries on the 3rd night of your stay. It is very large and buses get crowded quickly. I would not choose it with younger kids as you can have a bit of a walk to the main pools. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Nice amenities at resort, wouldn’t stay without a car

We stayed in a 1bedroom preferred in the Springs section last week. The room is ok, dated somewhat and doesn’t “feel”like Disney. I wish there was more than 1bathroom -the bathroom was big but there were honestly like 5 doors in it to separate each area like sink, toilet, shower, etc which was weird. The resort itself is huge. We really liked being close to the main building as we ate at Artists Palette several times , which was good for breakfast or lunch. We also used the pool and water slide quite a lot. My kids really loved the community center and all the activities you can do there - it was a pleasant surprise to do everything from watch movies, make crafts, play video games, use sports equipment and even paint ceramics. The buses are a pain -we only bussed to MK one day since parking isn’t available there. There are 5stops within the resort so it takes forever. Also, we waited at MK almost 45 minutes for a bus back in the middle of the day. I would not stay at this resort without a car.We have stayed a many different resorts at Disney and I’d stay here again, though it wouldn’t be my first choice.
