Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
- What's Included
Property is well maintained and very clean. Rooms have been kept up to date and are comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Pool in our area was open 24/7 which was nice for a late night dip in the hot tub. Well worth the price .
My wife and I have stayed here maybe 10 times but always in a one bedroom. This time we are in a studio and it is a big let down. We are in Congress Park which has a great view and is convenient to Disney Springs.Let down comes in that our room only has a queen bed vs a king. Bed is very firm. Seems like the most uncomfortable bed we've had for sleeping in quite some time. The second bed is a small hide-a-bed. I thought one bed rooms would have a king...
This was our 4th visit. The rooms are showing their age, as is the resort. This is where we usually get the most room for our money. We have a special needs child and the layout of this resort works for us. The employees at the resort are extremely helpful and make the place great. There are several pools, some heated some not. There are activities for kids and the resort has a very good restaurant. There is a ferry boat to get to down town Disney which takes about 7-10 minutes. We paid an average of about $600 a night for a 2 room suite. It adds up after a week and for that price the rooms should be in better shape. It's conveniently located inside the property but when you're getting squeezed ($$$) from every angle, things should be close to perfect.
DVC members and first visit to Tree Top Villas. Our stay was excellent. Kids loved it! The decor is older and a little tired but all part of the rustic vibe. The mattress in the master was pretty awful though. Would have to quantify that by saying we had just left the Disney Cruise so the comparison was striking. The lighting in Master was dim. The Villas are very spacious and it's convenient to have washer and dryer in the Villa. You can grill out if you wish and b.y.o charcoal or purchase it at the local store at Saratoga Springs. Villa's 20 and 21 are right next to the boat transport that takes you to Disney Springs and Saratoga. We have stayed in most Disney resorts in Orlando but my kids voted the Tree Top Villa's as their most favorite yet!
We enjoyed our trade in to this Disney Property! We nice amenities, things to do such as gym, spa, various activities free of charge such as tennis, basketball, pool, campfires, marsh mellows and movie nights all feee of charge for being on property, beautiful grounds to just do their walking trail. While we have kids, I would stay here even without kids. My only comment that was a downside but did not any way swayed from staying here was the following: upon check in our person did not really make us feel "at home". He pretty much handed us the brochures for property but no warm welcomeIn vibe I would have expected. The bands given that were awesome to use at all Disney facilities and the springs did not work for our kids, even after taking it back twice. Wasn't a big deal as they were with us but the boys thought it was cool to let us in the room with "their" bands had they worked! Also, there are no carts to assist you to your villa room. That was explained either on check in. We drove as we live in FL so had a good amount of "stuff" and had to make multiple trips to get it up to our room. Would have been nice to know that. We ran into a cast member helping someone else to their room and he assisted which was awesome! Every other staff member we encountered was awesome except our check in person. We are in process of selling our current timeshare to purchase a other and would consider this an option!
