Overview
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is an equestrian-themed, Victorian-style Disney Deluxe Villa Resort on the shores of Lake Buena Vista. Inspired by historic Saratoga Springs, a late-1800s New York retreat famous for its spas and horse racing, the buildings and grounds of this 65-acre resort are truly inviting. Stroll among green rolling hills and discover gurgling fountains and placid lakes. The Resort includes the Treehouse Villas, which allow up to 9 guests to sleep high up amongst the lush forest leaves.

Disney Vacation

We stayed in their villas which were spacious, clean and comfortable. 4 pools and a spa kept us busy when we were not at the Disney parks. The convenience of having the Disney buses run every 20 minutes with a pick up close to our villa made the stay so pleasant. They took you to any of the parks and Disney Springs. However, there is a boat ride to and from Disney Springs too which was a little faster and so relaxing. Staff was friendly everywhere you went. We highly recommend a stay at this resort.

Treehouse Villas at Saratoga, Great Concept, but Isolated and Difficult Transportation

This was a multi-generational family visit. Overall we liked it. Kind of a mixed review though. First it is not very “Disney feeling” which might be an issue for some. It kind of reminded me of an upscale retreat at a State or National Park. That was fine. What was difficult was transportation and parking. Overall the facilities were nice. This is part of Disney’s Saratoga Resort mainly for Disney Vacation Club Members (DVC). In fact, you check in at Saratoga and then make your way over to the Treehouse Villas (TV). We had 6 in our party and two cars. We needed to park one car a great distance away at the Saratoga resort since you are allowed only one vehicle at the TV.The TV are all located on what can be best described as a figure 8 loop, similar to what you see at State or National parks at their campgrounds. The villas are secluded and quiet. They are nestled in the woods and fit beautifully. Our villa overlooked the waterway and the wetlands on the other side. We enjoyed watching the boats drift by occasionally from our windows. We fit my older parents (one with a wheelchair), two teenage sons and my wife and I comfortably. We did have handicap access. The villa was rustically decorated. We had 3 bedrooms, one master, a queen and bunkbeds. The televisions were very nice in the master and guest bedroom. The villa was also fitted with fold out couches which we did not need. It had ample space: den, kitchen and dining areas and a table outside overlooking the waterway. Even though it was in late June, amazingly mosquitos were never a problem (how can that be??). We actually loved our villa. The problem was getting anywhere. The busses were not dependable. When they were, they would take you to Saratoga, then you would need to catch another bus to your eventual destination. Many Disney resorts have monitors which tell you when you can expect the next bus. This place did not. You also have a tender boat that takes you to Saratoga and Disney Springs. This can be a wait as well. We think once you are observed waiting for a boat on the dock, they radio ahead and a boat arrives in about 15 minutes or so. We took the boat to Disney Springs on several occasions. The shortest wait was 20 minutes, the longest wait was closer to 30. If you want to walk to Saratoga, it is quite a hike. My recommendation is to have your car and drive to the parks. It would be a lot easier. I believe you would have free parking as you are a Disney guest. If you are looking for a secluded and quiet Disney stay this is your place. If you don’t mind driving everywhere, it will not be a problem.

Hotel just ok

This review has 2 parts. Part 1 - The staff was awesome. They treated us very well, took care of all of our requests, and really mad our stay enjoyable. If I could give the review 3.5 instead of 3 I would have. Unfortunately, part 2 needs to take 2 stars off. For a hotel room it was really dated. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The worst part was the pillows. I can deal with just about anything, but the pillows are about 5 years past their prime. They are flat and lumpy. They don't give you the support you need for a comfy night's sleep. There was another small issue with lipstick prints all over the bathroom door that we had to call housekeeping to get cleaned up. If my parents didn't give me this room for free, I would have absolutely went to a better hotel. The mini kitchen area isn't work the outdated bathroom and the uncomfy bed/pillow.

Disney Family Vacation at Saratoga Springs

Our family recently stayed for 6 nights at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort. We were in the Congress Park section which is within short walking distance of Disney Springs. There were 3 couples in our party, so we had a two bedroom and a studio unit for our stay. Both rooms were very nice and clean. There is a pool nearby, and within the resort are several other pools. The bell staff and maid services were second to none, with no complaints. The only issue was the washer/dryer, which sounded light a freight train passing through. The only drawback to this resort is the size of the resort as it relates to bus service to the theme parks and return from the same. The buses were crowded and we had to stand on nearly every bus trip back from the parks. There were excessively long waits for the park buses and made for lots of wasted time.We also used Disney's Magical Express for transportation to and from the airport. They pick up your bags and deliver them to the room, but don't expect this to be prompt. We landed at 2:30 pm and our bags did not reach our rooms till 9pm. On our return to the airport to fly home, we were able to check our bags at the resort and proceed to the airport on the Disney bus. It broke down about 3 miles from the airport, but a replacement showed up in about 5 minutes and we made our flights with plenty of time. All in all, a good time, but the buses in the resort need to be improved

First time visit

We usually stay at an All Star resort or Pet Orleans if comming for a day or two, any thing longer and we are in the camper at Fort Wilderness. The camper was not an option for this trip and this was the only hotel on property that was available on short notice. We booked a studio that had a queen bed and a sleeper sofa. It also included a pack and play that our two year old used. The room included a Blu ray player, mini refrigerator, coffee machine, microwave, iron, and hairdryer. There are several pools at the resort as well as a lot of activities (several are free). Our kids are 12, 5, and 2...all had a blast and enjoyed being at the resort.
